What side do you pick more than others?
Villain, without a doubt.
What play style do you prefer?
All of them... mostly. I have Stalkers, Defenders, Controllers, Scrappers, Peacebringers and a Brute at 50. So, not sure where that puts me. I play my controller most of all if that helps?
Edit: I think I misunderstood this a bit... I like to do small teams and occasional soloing. I have grown to like Incarnate Content, but it took awhile.
What power set(s) do you favor?
The only powersets I don't like playing are Pain Domination and Empathy. I hate having all those ally-targeted powers that mainly focus on the green-bar. Now that the ally-buffs like FF and Thermal are AoE... pretty much any set I like. My main is Gravity, and I love Electric Melee.
What zones do you like the most?
When Ouroboros first hit the game... that was easily my favorite zone. Now, in terms of looks, it has to be the Shadow Shard. In terms of playability and getting around, I like Sharkhead and the new DA.
Do you usually play as a male or female (word of hatred) ''toon''?
All of my characters are male. I have never kept a female character for more than a day or two. Now, I have just given up on them for good.
Views on Role Playing?
Okay sometimes, but I can't get as involved as some folks, typing (( )) drives me nuts, and I need to be RPing with other folks I know so I can understand what is actually happening behind their keyboard... to the real person during the process.
Servers?
I play mostly on Justice. A little on Infinity and even less on Guardian. -
Sorry for the loss of cash dude! Wow!

Quote:YES! Yes please!A) revamped old school/spandex tights similar to the ones we already have (adding a few details like seams but still mostly plain)
It would be lovely if they tights had a little ridge around the edges, and some subtle detail like this... ESPECIALLY on masks and items colored WHITE.
White tights should not look like paint, but clothing.
Quote:C) modern super-hero tights (w/ ribbing, surface texture(s), subdivided surfaces) a la Ultimates 1 or Marvel movies.
Some say that the Defense and Olympian Guard base textures cover this style fairly well. Do you agree?

Which I do... even though the story doesn't bother me... especially with Prometheus's newest revelations after a MoM/TPN completion.
The fact that there is essentially some infinite supply of Wells linked to each species is a cool idea... but it leaves some other holes: like how are Khelds and aliens (different species) drawing power from our Well? -
Way to look a gift horse in the mouth, people. Also, why should Doms ever have a set Controllers don't get for Primary? That seems silly.... some folks seem to be mad about this.

Quote:You have this bass-ackwards.Unless you pay for an Alignment Change token, of course.
...
Wut.
So, seriously now; why is there still an arbitrary time limit on alignment switching by doing tips and such in game?
When you can just BUY the alignment you want (which, coincidentally, completely eradicates Posi's whole "We don't want alignment to be a switch you flick on and off" ramble from when it was first introduced...) it seems somewhat hypocritical to still limit the in-game method so unfairly. Bit of a bum move there.
What they need to eliminate is the buying option... not the timer. -

Quote:I, for one, won't play on Exalted. It seems like Freedom 2.0 to me... and I really like the communities on the servers I already played on.From what I've seen, the more experienced players stayed on their home servers, but then again that is just my own experience from a very limited sample size.
Why would I move? -
Quote:OMG yes!!Hey all,
We have some more changes coming for Gravity Control in i22 to help improve the sets control capabilities. In addition to the new Impact mechanic and the quickening of Propel (which helps soft-control from Knockback), weve made a major change to Dimension Shift and some minor tweaks to Wormhole.
Dimension Shift:- This power is now a Targeted AoE toggle. It will phase and immobilize everything within its sphere of influence, and can be sustained for up to 20 seconds. Enemies who move into the radius after the effect has begun become immobilized and phased. If the power is toggled off before its maximum duration, affected targets become un-phased shortly thereafter, allowing players to functionally control the duration of the phasing.
- This powers radius has been increased to 20 feet, up from 15 feet. It also no longer causes enemy NPCs to attack the user, assuming the user has not used any other attack powers on their opponents. This allows Gravity Control characters to use Wormhole as an initiation power without risking death during its attack animation.
You'll see these changes on the i22 VIP Beta soon after it goes up.
Can [Black Hole] get the same treatment as Dimension Shift? -

I see ponies have overruled my joke... what a sad state of affairs in which ponies win.

Quote:This.I share similar tastes and feelings as herotoonefan and was going to mention roughly the same stuff.
Not that I'm against some improvements, mind you, but I really don't find myself having an negative issue with how the character models look.
The thing that does really bug me about the characters is the SEAMS... especially the skin textures and the neck!
So, I could certainly see fixing up the skin textures some, although "fixing" can become such a subjective thing it can be scary.
The feet and hands, funny enough, never really bother me.
The hair doesn't bug me either.
Sure, I love greater modern graphics (although, not what I've seen in other mmorpgs, that's for sure), but I have zero negative issues with the looks of this game's characters.
Yes, it is an older game, but I think the style really does a great job of bending with the time.
To each their own, of course, but I thought I'd make my own opinions known along with the rest of the feedback.
Also, may I note that a good deal of the newer faces, IMO, are purely hideous... like the Steampunk faces. -

Nope, I have never switched... except name and server and alignment. The first character I ever made is the one I still play the most! He has survived a move from Infinity to Justice and a name change from Wylde-Fire to Pointsphere (and a completely new costume as well)... not to mention him going from hero to villain and back and then to around again to rogue, but he has always been my "main" and is my Badger as well.

While looking over the Wiki earlier today, I happened upon a list of accolades, and realized how much I really liked the art for the badge Megalomaniac. This got me to thinking about which other badges I like... as I haven't really looked at my collection of them in a while, though I have been actively pursuing that elusive 1250 badges badge (just 52 shy!). Then I thought some more and realized there are a bunch of badges I like just because, and due to when I got them in my "career" as a badger.
Other examples, for me, include Pain Killer which I like for the art, because the trial it comes from had been gone before I started and it was exciting to get back and be able to run, and because I really like Rularuu! Also, there is the MoBAF badge, which was one of the first Master of badges I earned. Field Crafter, so that I never had to earn it again (except I did)... and also because when I got it it really felt like an achievement... it required a lot of my time to get. And lastly, I have a special place in my heart for the Atlas Medallion because it was the first real Accolade I ever earned, and I got it a LONG time ago.
What are your favorite badges... and why? -
Costume pieces and threads... I have no use for the recipes that I could buy with them.

Quote:This is correct, Eric is mistaken... or not up to date.Fire and Ice will rotate in. Both it and Celestial will be available. It's that way on Beta right now, in fact.
Then, at some later date, a third, thus-far-unannounced set will rotate in. That's when Celestial rotates out.
I'm going over uStream right now to find the video where the devs confirmed it.
EDIT: Of course. I can find the videos from the day they talked about it (turns out it was November 23), but they cut off before the chat Q&A, so I can't link to anything that confirms what I'm saying they said. But I swear they said it!
Either way, yes, I'd be very, very surprised if Celestial is still available ten months from now. -

Isn't everything posted on the forums an "open letter"? Why specify?

Could this be the return of Power, for whom /jpower_ranger was coined?
Further, does this warrant a /mastermiine? -
