A fantastic number of gophers I might add!

  3. I kinda wonder if the last change to DS is actually going to happen or not. There was quite a hullabaloo over it in the Feedback Thread... making it phase teammates was somewhat less than popular, to some and to some they trumpeted as the best thing since... Power Customization.

Odd, this is only the second one I have ever seen...

This is inaccurate. Many servers have populous redsides. I happily play exclusively villains on Justice, for instance. Membership in global channels helps a ton... for all aspects of gameplay.
  6. Awesome as always!

...though I wonder if your opening might be better suited for i23. I get the distinct feeling that when Statesman is removed, the shake-up might make the salute appropriate there as well.

    *Shrug*

I also use very very few purples. I just don't agree with the prices or the "OMG Now I am Uber Because My Build Costs A Lot" attitude, so I have eschewed the whole thing, and honestly? I don't feel like I am missing anything. My characters all play to my level of required performance as is... even the ones that are like 90% SOs only.

Ahhh yes. I care so little for PvP IOs that I forgot all about that. I wanted to know what the detail was before I commented.

I have always been opposed to off-market sales on the principle that they skirt the influence cap, and get around market fees... two things I don't think should ever happen. As to selling it for an "unfair" price, I have no issue with that. If someone wants to spend pretendy-money on something, go nuts, I say.

As an aside, I am firmly in support of all non-existent items suddenly and without warning being taken from the market... Hopefully that kills billions in savings.

You can't use me as an example. I would never buy a PvP IO at any price. So not knowing about that was apathy, not lack of research or knowledge prior to a sale.
  9. Yeah I think the only thing the character creator needs to make it better is two things:

    1) An actual output of the exact height.
    2) All NPCs to be resized so that they have more normal uniform heights making it easier to know if we will have a tall or short character by comparison.
  10. Wait... what did I miss in i22 that makes PvP IOs cheaper now?

Totally possible. And certainly not outside of the realm of things they as a studio would do... but how are we to know which it is?
  14. If I had to guess, I would imagine the Easter Egg regarding the Clockwork stores in Praetoria has to do with the numerical portions of their names. The only odd thing I noticed right away, is that NONE of them in the 6 zones out of all 13 Vendors has a '1' in the name. No one. Hell, that could be the joke itself. She keeps saying "no one has found it." There is no one.

    But I doubt it.

    All of the numbers are:
    • Nova: 56-925, 73-783, 87-878
    • UG Nova: 878-84
    • Imperial: 25-378, 53-276, 62-397
    • UG Imp.: 844-45
    • Neutropolis: 36-287, 48-273, 73-223
    • UG Neu.: 583-43, 782-63

A simple 'A=1, B=2' type code doesn't seem to yield anything useful... but I didn't do all of them, maybe they all add up to some long super-anagram as the studio is famous for doing. But if that is the case, what kinda message doesn't have a single 'A' in it anywhere?

I think it could, but not in a dynamic way. If it is a targeted AoE and hits an enemy, than it would be enemy affecting, and vice versa. But a PBAoE? I think that needs to be one or the other. I don't think a single targeted AoE could impact both friends and enemies differently though either. Not sure.

Also, I really think that making ALL of the powers be able to have differential effects on enemies/allies is a bit overpowered. I think that, like Time, certain powers should be Buff and others should be Debuffs.
  16. Strands of Fate is the name of the SG I founded on Infinity. I assure you, we are just fine.
  17. So, a VERY loose tallying of the votes so far... this includes folks agreeing with others even after they have cast a vote. It removes a good deal of the "obvious" jokes. If folks really did vote for someone I missed, lemme know. This is more for information than to find a winner, per se. After all, the real prize is just seeing these hot pixel-dudes in-game anyway.

    Code:

    Foreshadow 14
    Tyrant/Emp. Cole 4
    Maelstrom 4
    Synapse 3
    Sunstorm 3
    Jim Temblor 3
    Grym 2
    Aaron Walker 2
    Serpent Drummer 2
    Kadabra Kill 2
    Noble Savage 2
    Arbiter Sands 2
    "Tiger Dude" 2
    Nemesis 1
    Gaussian 1
    Basse Croupier 1
    Malaise 1
    Dr. Vahzilok 1
    Lars Hansen 1
    Marauder 1
    Prometheus 1
    Dr. Aeon 1

(In order of # of votes)

As much as your particular method of lobbying, and reasoning for it (to justify an existing character's BF) might be at odds with why I want such a thing to occur... the more I look at him, the more I want him to be gay.

I could see that... though part of me thinks that making Silver Mantis bi might make more sense. And YES, Mangle would make an intriguing choice for a gay villain.

No! No no no! Virchoo does enough crazy stuff in the D already without a whole room devoted to non-heterosexuals.

    This!

We need a few dudes as slutty as folks like Mother Mayhem to equal things out. Typically, I would not support such an idea... but since boob-toons like her aren't going away, the Devs might as well play fair. Also, I think we need at least one GLBT character in-game... I don't think the Lore makes anyone officially fall into that category.
