Quote:This... is precisely what I was thinking.I'm extremely disappointed that people consistently make assumptions, treat them as fact, and then are disappointed about them. There was no statement about what fixes were "deemed more important". This fix was ready to go and presumably pretty darn simple to implement since there are lots of other systems that check your level.
People are SO fast to jump to this "slap in the face" mentality it is kinda disgusting. And no, it doesn't have to be actually said to be implied. -

I would guess either a contact for Posi's TF so he is free to run the Statesman's, or a contact for the next set of SSAs.

How do you handle giving that salvage to folks who already have the badges?

In reference to the subject of this thread: Scrappers already have access to the only Makeover they need as an AT....

Quote:Fun is in the eye of the beholder.Hm. I enjoy the Stalker Changes. I enjoy Dark Assault. I enjoy blueberry parfaits. I enjoy pointing out how crappy this power set is and how much I love the fact it's spreading like wild-fire that it's performance is less-than-optimal for anything worth 800 points.
And the Pet AI thing is at least a known issue on Virtue. Don't know anywhere else. Maybe it's extremely uncommon, but I keep seeing it happening?
Oh well. You're all precious.
Better numbers =/= Win or Fun, always. -
I take it you played DCUO?
What would make Sorcery unique? Essentially, you can make any powerset into Sorcery... in your bio/head. And as far as I am concerned, Wands and Magical Staves should be added as customization options for existing sets, not in a brand new one.
Speed? How is that a powerset? Take Hasten and Super Speed... on anyone. Done. If you want one like DCUO, grab an Electric set and color it yellow.
Also, as an aside, English does not use apostrophes to make plurals. -
Quote:Sounds to me like you sent a /petition NOT a /bug... they are very different. I almost never get a personalized response to a /bug, whereas I do get one when I /petition. Of course none of the folks in CS can change game code to fix your problem... only the Devs can do that.No. No they don't.
I can vouch for that.
I remember /bugging the Might of the tanker set because I couldn't slot it in blazing aura.
CS told me that it was WAI and only game developers can make changes to the powers. They also told me to take it to the forums and discuss it in the powers suggestions if I didn't agree with this decision.
... so a patch comes out that fixes the ability to slot might of the tanker in numerous tanker damage auras.
CS fail.

I have never heard the term Slambda before... is that the lame approach where you leap the wall and kill as little as possible?

To answer the question in your subject line: Yes.
Also, they are called "characters." Roger Rabbit is a toon. -

Quote:Nice... but Super-Boy is kinda hot, leave him alone.40. Create a teenage clone of him, a robot replica, a half-clone cyborg, and spur some token minority into symbolically taking up the Statesman mantle. The ensuing nonsense is sure to warp reality and rouse Statesman from death, possibly blowing his mind so much that he splits into two Statesman energy beings.

There is a workaround where you can create a nested directory structure and place a short .OGG of silence named the right thing to silence a particular in-game sound... but I am not certain what that would have to be in the case of the Demon and new Umbra beast sounds.
I too find both to be prohibitively obnoxious. I will see how I feel once I get my Dark Dom to the requisite level of the pet.

Quote:First off, Statesman didn't use a Shield, so I am unsure as to why they are mentioned twice as ways to be like States.Whenever I think of Hero Deaths in Comics there is always a time afterwards when various others try to step up and take their place. Its too bad we don't have some NPCs trying to step up.
A Freakshow Tank who replaced his torso with a Statesman colored shield. A Coven NPC trading in black for Red White and Blue. At lease one Longbow Boss with a Patriotic shield trying to fill in. How about a Meat Doctor who has operated on himself to give him the face of Uncle Sam? A Red, White and Blue Carnie from the Carnival of Light?
Creating some custom NPCs from existing groups who are trying to take the Statesman's place could make for some fun NPCs.
Second, I think this game has a ton of humor in it already, making the death of one of its most important characters be a component of this "joke" is simply not a good idea.
I just don't see how this could be done well. -
Quote:Probably not. Method of unlock has little or nothing to do with implementation... which IIRC was the problem. The game couldn't handle assigning new slots, period. At least that's what I thought.Pay-to-win issues aside, would that even get around the issues that prevented Synapse from doing it in the first place?
This is like when folks suggested things like using enhancements to create Power Customization... ignoring the fact that the game still had to be coded to do that in the first place. -

Quote:Right right... because it is fair to assume everyone has a Purple Proc slotted in their Immob... *rollseyes*Also 2 holds are really not necessary. With a chance for mag 4 (overpower) in your main ST hold along with a grav anchor proc in your mass immob, you should have a plenty high enough chance to hold the target you need to hold, and if neither procs, ST controller holds are a base 8s rchg.

Quote:I have had Shards drop while in the Hosp on two or three different occasions. It always confuses me for like two seconds, then it was back to the melee outside.Interesting bit of trivia here - when you're in the hospital during an Incarnate Trial, you are off the Incarnate Drop/XP tables. This means that you will not earn Incarnate XP, will not have Threads or Catalysts drop, and can in fact have a Shard drop while you're in there.

Once again, Arcanaville wins the thread.
