Intriguing idea.... but I am left with one question:
Which 'pro' is actively helping the game? -
-
-
Quote:First of all, it was done via Demo Editing... probably having little to nothing to do with Piggs.Let's not forget: the wind was really sucked out of the Staff Fighting hype when someone last year did some Pigg Diving (obviously) and released a video of the set.
So you can thank your fellow players who continue to break the TOS and release information. So when a set gets exposed ahead of time (thanks, pigg divers!) and ruins all the potential marketing and hype that might have gone in to it, you'll have to learn to understand why it does't get rushed to Live
Secondly, I doubt if that video had anything to do with it... which seems to be confirmed by Zwillinger. -
Wow, get off it! A powerset just got released, Staff Fighting prolly won't be out until the week after next at the earliest. A threat of leaving or whining won't help!
-
No, actually.
I have made it a goal of mine to use each set only once on my account... which makes creating new characters kinda rough. Let's just say, that I really need a new Armor set to come out soon. :/ -
I think I went a bit overboard in quoting you when most of my comments should have been directed more broadly.
I didn't really mean any direct malice toward you, you just happened to say a bunch of things I felt needed comment. -
Quote:Way to purposefully miss the "or so" in text you quoted. It has been more than a week so that is not accurate at all.
Quote:What is wrong with Z[willinger] saying staff fighting is going to be released on xyz date this month. I mean really the set has been ready for at least two of the four months it has been in BETA. It was more highly desired and requested over BM and they told us when that was coming, so why not staff.
Quote:No need to overreact but there IS a reason to react. YMMV.
Quote:As long as people are not threatening to burn down PS office or something, others need to step back and allow people to provide feedback that PS can take or leave.
Quote:It is not cool to try to muffle your fellow players feedback, not cool at all. -
Quote:Issue 21's headstart launched on September 13, 2011... and Street Justice was open for purchase on October 4, 2011. So, yes, that isn't a full month, but it's darn close.Just to point out: Beam Rifle launched with Freedom, and I believe Street Justice was three weeks behind it. So that's less than a month.
But I am just pointing that out. As far as I'm concerned, your point still stands: for them to release the more highly anticipated Staff Fighting only 2 wees after Beast Mastery was highly unlikely.
Truly though, thanks for pointing that out, when I originally checked the Wiki I was looking at the BETA release for i21, which was significantly before it's actual release... So, they are a bit closer than I thought. -
How exactly have they been treating us? Have we ever in the history of the game gotten more stuff faster than right now? If you ask me, and you didn't, this is the best period the game has ever been in!
-
I don't get what all the hate is for this? Nothing about their release of content has changed! When, since Paragon Market opened, did they ever release two paid-for Powersets within a month (assuming we are talking about VIPs here, so not sets free to them) of one another?
What's that? They haven't? Ahh, of course.
And while this is a Tuesday and new stuff happens on Tuesdays, it hasn't been but a week or so since the last Powerset was released. Expect Staff Fighting to drop on the 17th or 24th of this month... or maybe even next month. Even that wouldn't be too long in terms of past precedent. The fact that the set is done has ZERO bearing on any of this. For all we know, they have 37 other powersets that are done already too, that have been Closed Beta tested privately somehow... the fact that we all know about this one doesn't impact a thing. -
This issue has been acknowledged by a Dev, though I forget which one, and I hope that means they are looking into a change soon... at the very least, I want to be able to move all of these things that I will never use (when I get them) to the same character.

Five whole dollars (not including subscription). And I never would have done that, except I really needed the Halloween pack before it went away, and I was outta VIP points.

Quote:That was supposed to be an April Fool's joke? Suffering through hours of bad television at work... and DBZ?!The Return of Toonami on AdultSwim.

How about:
- Primary: Melee power sets
- Secondary: Support focused pets, and a few defense powers instead of blasts
-
Quote:That's called a workaround, not a fix.I wish they'd just leave the IA alone, but give us the ability to forcibly immobilize them. Presumably the AI must already have programming to allow it to deal with being immobilized by an enemy troller.
Just add a /command "Immobilize_pets" or "petcom_...Immobilize", which when activated places a magnitude 100 immobilize on the pet in question. It won't charge into combat if it's not free to move. -

Quote:Yes, that is what I mean.If you mean retroactively giving the bonus to characters for having gotten the badges, that's unlikely to happen.
And if it really is unlikely... then I am NOT in support of this idea. I don't plan to run the arc many times, I want to be equally rewarded for the time I already put in. -
Quote:The reason you can't think of the last one? Because it is all in your -mind-! *wink wink, nudge nudge*While this is entirely... speculation... I would definitely like to say that non-weapon sets are on the way.
- One's probably a proliferation; the artists won't have to do much.
- One will work great for those who love the outdoors.
- Spider-Man of all people had one once.
- They tried this one once before, but it didn't work.
- I can't think of the last one.

I believe both versions of Gate Crasher may not be counting in CiT... could be wrong.
