  3. Port Oakes is, IMO, the most annoying zone to reach once you out-level it... plus it is required travel to pay for your Upkeep. Aside from that, Cap is a smorgasbord of all that ya need. Honestly, if you have those two, there really aren't too many places you can't get to easily with you base, Ouro and the Ferry.

    Ohhhhh, if you can manage to get it, the RWZ Beacon would be useful as well.

    See, this presents a moral dilemma for me.

    I would LOVE to see more options for character creation, and like the idea of a Staff Melee set... but, OTOH I totally agree with the dude I quoted as well. Perhaps we could come up with some sort of a weapon set that involves a weapon set that ISN'T Smashing/Lethal.

    How about a Spear set that does Toxic damage?
    " " a staff that does energy damage via an electric element a la the Magna Guards from Star Wars.
    " " a psychic lance set that acts at increased range to most melee sets and does psychic/smashing damage?

    Just a few off the top of my head ideas.

    Actually, his entire post was stated as if he knew for a fact things about PC that no one outside of Paragon Studios can actually know. Your criticism should be leveled at that entire post, not just the line you selected.

  9. I thought the whole point of this discussion forum was to take an idea that was suggested (hence the name) and improve upon it until it was easily implementable and viable?

    All I did was place the first step-stone in that direction. If that is beyond your grasp, then perhaps you ought to find a different forum to dismantle. I don't harbor any particular delusions that my idea was without fault (hell, I stated as much already), however you storming in here and claiming I should only post an idea once every possible angle has been considered and every possible issue solved (while also leveling an attack against my ability to think and my knowledge of the game)... sort of negates the need for discussion, doesn't it? I mean, if I posted a "perfect" idea, all that would result is a long line of /signed-s and /unsigned-s... which just so happens to be against the forum rules.

    Also, you handwaving the problem away of how to add in new animations as "unneccessary" doesn't go a very long way in proving your suggestion superiority (something you apparently think I need to do... which leaves me wondering under what authority?). I personally don't see an issue with TP either, but I am more than happy to offer in an idea or three to help people who do think that (with the intent that more customization is almost always a good thing).

    It does persist though. Some people seem to think that getting to 50 or fully IOing a build will solve all problems. Simply put, that alone won't solve anything.

    I don't understand this... won't at least some of the Heroes desire to earn the badges and such that are only available by switching over? I would think that since most people play heroes, that the red-side would actually see more players than it currently does...

    Shhhhh with your logic and stuff. My suggestion was a spur of the moment one with no thought whatsoever to any of the factors you mentioned. I never claimed it would be easy or viable... simply a single way to implement the idea that had been suggested.

    Do you know of a better way to change the animation of a travel power without getting rid of the existing one?
