  1. I played a Dark/Dark Defender to 50... and that character was very good at increasing the survival of the team.

Did I get scoffed at when my heal missed? Certainly. But when I teleported the corpses of like 5 team members and simultaneously resurrected them WHILE debuffing all the enemies that had just killed us, they had a different tune to sing. Not to mention all the other things that make me love Dark Miasma (like the singing tentacles ).

It's unfortunate that I have been playing other characters a lot lately... perhaps I should dust him off. (He may just go Rogue.)

We are still unable to WALK... I would wait for the Natural Super Booster before I count this one out, but my bet is that it's not going to happen.

With regard to those... I am under the impression that they NEVER are TP-able in the regular game environment outside of glitches or exploits (though I know of neither atm).

AVs, in my experience, never get TPed, but have been hit by the other effects of WH. Most any entity that is physically bigger than a standard NPC will not be moved either (GMs, etc.).

Suggested many times, and I'll continue to be strongly against this.
    All of this!!

  6. It seems like a ton of work to give to very few players. There are still many people who have not yet earned a 50 even.

I know, I was surprised too. I guess I was pointing you out, because that post violated your norm. But, it also refuted the points in a much nicer way then what I had in mind.

I was just going to say: No, that sucks.

With CoH being my first MMO... what does that mean, exactly?
  9. As an outsider looking in:

It doesn't seem right for people to go around and purposely try to ruin other people's fun... just because they are "doin' it wrong."

On the other hand, the "fight clubbers" are being a bit too entitled in that they expect, nay, demand to be left alone in Zone PvP... which makes no sense.

So, if the clubbers would just realize they can and WILL be interrupted and stop QQing about it AND the self-appointed police would just cool it and stop intentially pissing people off, all would be good. But I sense that neither is going to happen. Honestly, I think the "police" have the edge here, as much as I hate to say it.

Xenite, you changed the quote in your sig?

To Umbral: I am humbled by your ability to look at this mostly ridiculous suggestion and calmly grind it into the dust with actual facts and mechanical failings that are obvious on its face, but have yet to be stated outright.

Look up a post. I am fairly certain that that reasoning is considered "official." Have no recollection of the Dev who might have implied as much, likely BaB... but he gets blamed for everything because he is vocal.

Nope, and it isn't considered a bug.

From a story perspective, the Crab Spiders have the backpack physically attached to their spines. If your Soldier dips into the Crab powers, it gets some... errr, cosmetic surgery. It can't simply forget to put on the surgically attached prosthesis cuz it only wants to swing a mace now.

    Only solution? Roll another Soldier.

  17. I'm a little confused as to what this suggestion is trying to suggest.

    A) [Recall Friend] becomes: Teleport Teammate; Chance to AoE Teleport Foes

    B) [Recall Friend] becomes: Teleport Teammate; Chance to AoE Immobolize Foes

Because if it's A, I can see that being rather more problematic than helpful... but it would definitely capture some concepts very well. If it's B, then I can imaginie it looking fantastic, sort of a Warshade-esque Teleport in which tendrils snake out of the resultant "space-time hole" and ensare nearby victims. This power could actually be useful in preventing enemies from following a teleported friend.

If u want a funky life, you have to make moves.

and sometimes you have to stop and think.

Life aint only dictated by the Benjamins.

See, i m in the music area... its kinda the same: the public get feeded with numbers, these aint real, even if the company says so.

And one would be a noob to think the big numbers makes the music better.yeah. I tent to think the way around.

Ok, bad numbers dont make good music, but big numbers dont make cool games even.(that does for any game)

And Fyi, after grindin' or farming, or TF'ing, or badging 47 lvl 50, playing an average 6 hrs a day for 48 months, I darn feel betrayed, that is for sure.
    By the marketeers.

Well, if i have to move along, i will.
Can someone please translate this into English? Since English is not your first language, I am not trying to be rude... but I literally have no idea what the majority of this post means. "Hide beside your own shadow"???

The Abandoned Sewer Trial and Eden Trial were cool but those are from the days when the level cap was 40 - and they're both kind of like the RSF in that you either breeze through it or fail horribly with very little middle ground.

Those that get tired of PvE do two things - turn to PvP, or quit. A year ago, I couldn't understand why people would PvP in an MMO - after all, that's what an FPS is for, right? Well, I started to get bored of PvE content and I started watching duels and team matches on Justice (I remember a 2v2 tournament where Ajax and Aura transferred toons to Justice to take a crack at a 500 million inf prize). I began to level a character specifically for PvP (I'd been PvPing on mostly PvE or hybrid builds for a few months on and off before then) and whaddaya know, two days after he hit 50, I13 went into beta. I largely shrugged it off but I still wish we could have a few of the aspects of I12 back.
Of course, this all assumes people WILL get tired of PvE. Which, in 2 years, I have yet to. I don't think I will ever set foot into a PvP zone or arena match for anything but a badge or two.

Well, that was how it was before... but now? Green grass all the way. I had ONE red spike as I loaded to the server... but nothing after. Absolutely great!

    Very nice.

Also, to solve the issue with "swinging from what?" we could do something a bit like Ratchet and Clank did. R&C has a gadget that can attach to pre-placed nodes in the game world via a swingline, and then swing to another. Instead of going through the game and adding these points, one could simply have the swingline described as a device that launches cables with anti-gravity nodes... these anchor into space when in use, and disengage once power to them is cut... that way, you can swing absolutely anywhere, and the only issue is RPing it to be Tech/Nat/Mut/Sci/Mag.

I got as far as the above paragraph when I said: WTF game have YOU been playing? Nothing beyond this holds merit if this is the bizzarre and stilted view you hold of CoH.

Also, if you want CoH to play like a different game then, guess what? YOU should PLAY a different game. There are plenty here, myself included, who likes the game exactly as it is.
