A slight quibble here. It is NOT on the known issues list, and IIRC, is not something that is being looked at to be "fixed" as technically it is working as intended.

Quote:My favorite negative rep comment so far? -I agree, honestly.
The rep system is.. stupid in it's current incarnation.
Most of the neg rep, is just a cowards way of saying "you're wrong", if you have the less-popular opinion on a strongly debated topic, you're going to get negged out the ***, usually with such things as "Don't get it."
The idea is great, but people are absolute idiots who can't be trusted with any level of power.
... Tagging I think is actually just funny >.>
That's it! Just a hyphen. A bit frustrating, though honestly, I only really look at the comments in my CP to laugh at what other people think of my posts. I already KNOW that I am not a pillar of useful knowledge and not well liked. It doesn't really come as a surprise. However, it does seem like it is easier for people to leave negative rep than it is positive. -
Definitely take advantage of the above suggestions... as they are good ones.
However, I can't help but ask: How can you feel that things are slower?* Leveling speed is faster than I have ever seen it before. I recall trying to get through the mid 30s on my Controller... it was hellacious (before the XP Smoothing in i12, IIRC).
* = Unless of course all you did was AE Farm, because then it is waaaaay slower, and for good reason. -
Quote:You misunderstood. My edit was meant to correct ME, not YOU.In your edit, you imply that somehow that I fault the AI for problems with Hess. No, I am saying that I had the same problems as the other poster. Please read carefully. I am saying that 2 TFs over 10 issues old are getting tweaks and changes that are undocumented, leading to bugs, some of which are show stoppers.
-
Quote:Hence my edit?orly? I think we can skip that assumption without even waiting for commentary. I also think it's ridiculous for you to take the discussion in that direction. No one suggested the devs deliberately sabotaged anything.
Did you not read the post??? He said there were DIFFERENT MAPS. -
Quote:Not to mention my college buddy who can do it without any of that... he just has a freakishly long tongue, and apparently the right arm length to accomplish it.Why would I bite when I figured out a way to lick your elbow in just a matter of seconds? Hell, I've come up with a variety of different and highly appropriate ways to go about it:
- Get a blade of some kind, or use your mouth, to cut off your arm above your elbow (meaning, your upper arm)... Then, once it falls to the ground, pick it up with your other hand, and lick the elbow.
- Open a door, stick your arm through, so that your upper arm is against the frame, then slam the door shut as hard as you can (I'd recommend a metal door). It might require a few dozen goes, but eventually the bone and flesh should be akin to jello, and it should be rather easy to twist it so you can lick it.
- Cut off your tongue, then rub it against your elbow.
There ya go. A variety of easy, do-it-yourself ways to lick your elbow! And you can do them all from the safety and comfort of your own home! -
Well, I think it is entirely likely that you are making too much out of this. Until we get official commentary from a Dev, I don't think it is safe to assume they are trying to make you unhappy, much less new players.
Recently some tweaks were made to enemy AI (Malta Robots began using attacks that had always been there, but that they never used). Perhaps that explains the "beefed up mobs" in Hess's TF. As to the KHTF, it may simply have been a one time glitch. Did you run it another two or three times to see if you can get the behavior to repeat? If not, then you really have no ground to stand on to assume that they changed it... ESPECIALLY without patch notes at any point in Beta or now on Live.
I think giving Occam's Razor a miss and jumping straight to an evil Dev conspiracy was in poor taste.
Edit: After reading the complaint by the poster you linked to, AI is totally and completely not the problem, as I suggested above. Still, I can't imagine that the change was made deceptively on purpose, it wouldn't make sense, to me at least. -
Quote:Wow, finally someone who took that as me helping, and not being a complete butthead!edit, thanks to Thirty_Seven, for making the great Translation of what i was trying to ask
I do suggest that you brush up a bit on your phrasing of things... your text is all we get as a way to "judge" you. Some judge harshly. -
Indeed. But, it would make the TF more enjoyable. I love when there is playful banter and much humorous face-planting. Takes off any pressure there might be, and makes the whole thing a joy... even the long ones.

Ummmmm.... People have been soloing AVs for some time now. However, it is, and has been, all about the sets you pick, so making a particular set work well for it on purpose wouldn't really change the dynamic of how people currently do it by any appreciable amount.

Quote:Mender Cocytus is my Ice/Ice Tanker. Glad to see I am not the only one who knows about Hell.Guardian of Cocytus is the name of my Ice/Ice Dom on Protector. Going with the ice theme, I wanted just "Cocytus" as a name, but it was already taken. (Cocytus is the frozen lake in the 9th circle of hell from Dante's Inferno). So, I settled on "Guardian of Cocytus." Don't know why I picked that particular toon as the name for my forum handle out of all of the toons I have (I'm an alta-holic). I guess I just liked the name a lot :-)

Quote:This is a public forum, I can say whatever I want within the rules of the Forum... mind you, you do not make those rules. By the way, thanks for the personal attack... but the only person it applies to is the one who thinks they can control who posts in "their" thread. But i have to stop you there..... we don't want to hear what you think.
It's not constructive and the original post that states,
"this is for constructive and helpful information, there are plenty of farm debates out there already"
was obviously put there because there are idiots out there that think it doesn't apply to them. (p.s - I can see now why you turned rep off)
Also, regarding your PS... I didn't turn my Rep off so that I had license to go around and be a jerk (technically, I had that right already), as I am sure you are implying, but rather because I think the existence of Rep is ridiculous (it got turned off the day the forums changed over).

Translation:
Quote:Any Primary/Secondary combination...
I am looking for the most overpowered MM out there. Some of the things I have heard are:- Dark is great for debuffs
- FF is best for tanking
- Traps is decent tank/more DPS then FF
- Thugs own in DPS, but the Arsonist has a death wish
- Bots can defend themselves better then all the others
- Ninjas have the best [?? crt dps] single target DPS
- People say to play whatever is fun to you
I don't care if I have to just look at my pets do all the work or be the most active MM out there, I just want to know: What MM Primary/Secondary is the must OP vs PVE content.
Also, you can throw in an OP PvP MM if you want, as I like to compare things. Is whatever is the most powerful in PvE solo also what’s the most powerful MM in PvE when teaming? Is it a DPS MM setup, debuffing MM, or a Tankermind? I just want a character, that when I finish leveling it up to be that MM that can defeat anything in this game.
Get my drift? And thanks for any helpful replies, ahead of time! -
Actually actually, it IS infinity. However, as you know, infinity is a hard "number" to deal with.
Take a look at:
You will find, that the answer is infinity. (Well, technically ± ∞, depending on the direction from which one approaches 0, as pointed out by Fleeting.)
P.S. Owned by math. -
Quote:I like how most everyone ignored the line about NOT including Uniques or the PS Proc....Hi, all.
Planning ahead on a toon, I'm thinking of snagging Physical Perfection, for some added Regen and Recovery.
Taking it isn't a problem, but I'm left with a question of how to slot it best. I mean, sure, I could six slot it, put 3 Health and 3 End Mod and go on, but I'm not sure I want to dedicate that many slots to it.
So, any recomendations regarding how to get the most out of it, (both Regen and Recovery) with the least investment of slots? And not including the Healing Uniques, or the Performance Shifter Proc - those are best put in Health and Stamina, respectivly, if I can get either.
Thanks
I think I would put 2 additional slots, the original one for Heal (since as was mentioned, regen isn't THAT important) and the other two for End Mod. Of course, I don't generally slot better than a lvl 35 Generic IO, so take that with a grain of salt.
Keep in mind that with the relatively small numbers involved high %s will still not be changing the overall value all that much. -
My Peacebringer is called The Last Grula'ak... it has to do with his back story as the last survivor of his planet to win in a tournament to determine the king. The Kheldian with whom he merged was called Lightbridge and accidentally caused the extinction of Grula's planet.
Also, there is a Kheld named Moonburn who is involved in the backstory of my Warshade, who is currently known as Brother Onyx. However, since he was made exclusively for a Static Team I can no longer partake in, he is going to get re-rolled on a different server (most likely with a different name, probably to Onyxshift). -

A visual upgrade is unnecessary. Of course, that is just my opinion, but I would prefer to not invest in new hardware to run the only computer game I play, thank you very much.

Quote:THIS is exactly what I would have posted... if I were nice. Glad he got to it first.Just replied to another thread about the very same subject. I don't have the time or willingness to make this reply long and very thought out so I'll just put it simply:
Purples are not needed. Before IOs you could do all the standard content in the game and no one complained about not having epicx purp0lz or even HOs.
And yeah, purples are very much obtainable. Just work on getting some influence and buy them if you really, really want them so much. Besides, it's people like you who think purples are needed who drive the prices up, people who cannot settle with a very powerful character that has "only" rare and uncommon sets.
Also, a pet peeve of mine: The apostrophe s ('s) does NOT mean plural. It's "Purples" NOT "Purple's." I feel dirty just typing that last part. -

Quote:Trust me they are... or there are all new people complaining about the feature (even now).I am just hope some of the nay sayers are still around to see the fruits of your labor.
I have to admit, I was less than stoked when I heard about the feature being implemented. Personally, I like the way almost everything looked before, but this really does open a TON of doors concept-wise, and is just one more thing to draw people to this game, which is ALWAYS a good thing.
Awesome job BaB and BaB's minions!! -
That would be monumentally dumb for the Devs to do. They have stated that they regret doing the "Level 50 Unlocks an EAT" thing, so I doubt HIGHLY that they would repeat that "mistake."
