Quote:Agreed completely.Any poor player playing any AT is going to be bad.
Volken - Play what you like. Most people are not like Alt here and have no problems forming teams with whatever/whoever is available. Tankers are a fine AT, and are very useful throughout the game.
I always try to have one of each AT when I build a team. If that doesn't happen, I make do. Also, I love to invite Khelds because they have so many tricks and a lot of them are really good players (a lot aren't, but you take that gamble on any AT, really). -
Quote:You are right, I don't know for sure... but I think it is safer to assume that they didn't know than that they did. That whole innocent until proven guilty thing.Your logic is sorely lacking. Over the lifetime of the game, the devs have made literally THOUSANDS of deliberate changes without telling anyone. So, to further your position, you *ASSUME* that did not occur in this particular situation? You don't know. Your declarations of RIGHT and WRONG are just little dots on the screen, conveying no useful information.
Also, is blindly maintaining the converse of my contention somehow better and more logical? (I am not accusing you of anything directly, just asking the question.) -

Quote:Yes... I know that I oversimplified the issue. As have the previous arguers.Argumentum ad bifurification.
--Therefore the Devs changed something and didn't have a clue of the ramifications, which denotates incompetence. RIGHT
--Therefore, the Devs changed the maps and hoped no one would notice. RIGHT
etc.
Hint: The word you're looking for is "ergo".
Just as I can't possibly know what or how things happened in the programming, neither can you. It just seems odd that you are unwilling to NOT fault the Devs directly. Not being able to predict EVERY possible consequence of an action, does NOT equate to incompetence.
P.S. Ergo = Therefore. Also, while we are being nitpicky, the period goes inside the quotation marks. -
Quote:I thought that this was a new thing... but wasn't sure if I had just forgotten about it.Ive noticed that mugging victims are getting pushed to the floor now after you attack the muggers
Or have Singy fly near to them... -
Quote:If you want a challenge, try joing a ship raid... and then soloing the center of the ship... why don't you solo Ukon Grai, while you are at it.Okay, my attempt to make humorous metaphores to the current situation with Issue 16 failed miserably. Let's try a direct approach.
I build superior toons in CoX by careful examination of every tiny minute set bonus possible. My toons are able to solo 300 of any single type of boss in a single room.
What I enjoy is facing the hordes of enemies and laying waste to them all. I use no exploit what so ever. I expect to be rewarded for all my hard work, but the developers of this game insist on nerfing every high end challenge I can face.
My friends' who enjoy the same aspect of this game are all on the verge of quitting. I too am on the verge of quitting.
My question ... Is it time to quit? I can't seem to find any enjoyment left in this game and I don't want to abandon a game that I've invested so much in, but I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel.
If that doesn't seem hard enough (heck, it might not be)... then maybe you are just too awesome for this game and should move on to greener pastures. I hear Progress Quest is fantastic! -
Quote:Hopefully there is a two for one special so that they can pass one on to you also.Heh, some people never learn.
Neg rep, left anonymously: "Arguing just to argue sounds about right"
One day, someone will buy you a clue.
It boggles the mind how people in this thread keep saying the same things to each other, hearing what they want, and then regurgitating the original argument anyway!
Let me break it down:
The Hess TF is different now than it was on live before i16.
This difference makes it annoying and uncompletable.
The Beta Testers (nor Live Players) were never told about this change.
Now we have two choices:
Therefore, the Devs changed it deliberately, and didn't tell anyone. WRONG
Therefore, the Devs must have changed something, that messed up the TF, and since I have no idea how their system works for calling maps, or placing glowies... I think it is safe to say they didn't mean to. After all, why would they deliberately mess up a TF and not say anything? RIGHT -

So this thread really wasn't a suggestion at all? And has now devolved into a crappy forum game?

There are a few locations to start the Respec Trial, depending on the level at which you want to do it. [Click Here] Also, everyone was just issued a freespec (at least I think they just got passed out) due to Issue 16's release, so you may not have to do the mission if you don't want to.

Quote:I guarantee I have done something like this to people in the past. It is easy to forget who of the 50+ people in the Search window you have sent tells to, and which of them had what response, and which are new to the list since the beginning of the last mission. I don't do blind invites though... so I guess I am better than that jerk.*blind invite*
*Declined*
Player: Wana join our team?
me: No thanks
*20 mins later*
*blind invite same person*
*declined*
Person: Wana join our team we can make a full 8
Me: no... -
Quote:I was getting this on Guardian from a different player. I swear, every hour or two the same character would broadcast in a few different zones and send the same /tell macro to me and my SO. Got really annoying, really quick. IIRC, it was before the advent of the /ignore_spammer command.while not a blind invite, on freedom i keep getting these tells on daily basis at least 4 times a day. [Tell] Guyver-datdun: Want to join a cool super group? datdun = dumb *** that doesn't understand no. everytime i get this i say no i'm already in a cool sg and that he really shouldn't be sending tells to join his sg, specifically to the same toons that keep saying no, as it can be considered harrasment. amazing how some people just don't get it.

I was still under the impression that it was not going to be fixed, mostly for technical reasons, but also because it matches the storyline of how a Crab becomes a Crab... by having the legs fused to his spine via the "backpack."
Also, I guess I should have not mentioned the Known Issues List... I was aware of how it works, but posted in kind of a knee-jerk kind of way. Hence, my careless use of the term. -
Gratz.
I only have five 50s... But, I have something you don't: a level 50 Peacebringer. -
If I were to hazard a guess, I would say: having smart friends. Most people would not slap that "stigmatizing" of a label on something that, to them, increases their fun. Heck, I'm not sure that I would want to either, and I agree with your assessment.

I myself have a Thugs/FF, and just recently took [Provoke] so that I could even more take on the role of a Tanker. I have almost exclusively solo-ed with this character... so he may not be optimal for teams, not too sure.
However, he can melt most foes pretty quickly, and his HP rarely dips below green, until and unless all the shields fade and I don't notice... (The exception was Calystix... I just could NOT solo him!) -
