It's a rather arbitrary forum rule. Honestly, post count is mostly meaningless, and I don't find it to be too much of an issue.

Of course there is a limit, have 4+ posts in a row can get obnoxious... especially if the person doesn't quote what it is they are responding to.

    This.

I made a Stone/Mace Tanker... and lets just say I have to juggle which toggles stay on so that he doesn't faceplant when they drop... Not to mention just standing around in a spawn once and awhile. But, I know it will get better when I hit 12, and even better once 20 and then 22 roll around. Hang in there, that combo should be awesome post 22 and more so after [Power Sink].

Positron promised they would give players what they want, within reason, and I have to say they have delivered monumentally well on this promise. I've not played another game where it felt like the development team was as much part of the community, as understanding and as reactive. We say "But we WANNA!!!" and they come here and explain why it can't happen, why it might happen but at a later time, that it's already being worked on, or say nothing and it pops into the game a month or two later.

Frankly, I'm sticking to this game as much for its development team as I am for the actual game. Just goes to show that cool, talented people make a difference.
I may not always agree with you, Sam, but I certainly do now. Ditto to all of that. (Though I think I like the game a bit more than I do the Devs... Sorry guys, but ultimately, that's still a compliment. )
  4. I think all of the new "stances" or idle emotes, or whatever you call them, are awesome and add a lot in the way of flavor to the game. Great job BaB and minions (or whoever did that).

Sucks that there is a glitch with one of them already.

Perhaps at first, but like anything else in this game, people would get used to it and be tossing around a buttload of new abbreviations in no time.

It is not true, and therefore you cannot do it.

I have no idea from where you got that impression. Nothing like that has been even suggested by the Devs.
  7. I couldn't find any mention of that on http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Main_Page (bookmark this, it is your friend), but I didn't do an exhaustive search either.

I do not think that having 4 pools will lock you out of the Ancillary or Patron Power Pools, though as stated above, I am not 100% sure as I have never taken that many pools before.

I only noticed I had leveled when I exited the mission and saw the Green Arrow in my level indication circle thingy.

This is the first time I've noticed this issue and I was not the only one on the team experiencing the issue.

Anyone else experience this bug? Is is a known issue?
I just experienced this today, and /bugged it. The really annoying part was the lack of Insp drop upon leveling.

That is a good point that didn't initially cross my mind. Wouldn't that be partially counteracted by the kind of aggro that a Spiner can draw?

I refer you to Dark Armor which literally makes it impossible for some enemies to attack, and it is available for Brutes. (I won't argue that that set is optimal, but there is a precedent for counter-Fury powers(ets) existing on Brutes.)

Agreed. Is it really that complicated to type one additional keystroke? And "to" is conveniently located a row BELOW the numbers anyway. Please don't pretend this is a text message.

    Need Help

First off, I recommend that you bookmark http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Main_Page it has a wealth of information including the answer to the question you asked.

The items required are either the arcane Oracle or the tech Mission Computer. Either of these will need to be placed in a Control Room and are "auxilliary" items, meaning that they must be placed in the same room that a "main" control item is in (the requirements are listed in detail on the linked pages).

Information on the actual Strike Force can be found here. I have done this SF on my Huntsman, I must say that the final mission is rather obnoxious... and I hope you like to kill... err, defeat Sky Raiders.

I'm not sure that is entirely true.

While GR will certainly reinvent AT distribution, I don't think it means that making new and different ATs should be axed. There is certainly room for some new AT combinations, and post-GR each one added will actually do twice as much "work" as they did before.

    Help, Im new

Welcome to the game!! Glad your question was answered quickly. (Though it is a newb mistake, it is certainly one A LOT of new players make, so don't feel like you are an idiot or anything.)

It's a terrible failing on my part, I know, but I've found it impossible to dismiss the high level of correlation between people who ask "Would you like to join level 35+ in Brickstown?" and an enjoyable PUG, and those who begin with "wana tem?"
I have found this as well.

I also am kind of a name snob. I have found that "Ebony Guard" is more likely to be an effective member than "black nite-." Just something I have come across...

That's pretty much exactly what I was thinking. You know a thread won't go well when the OP includes a "dead horse" issue AND can't spell his way out of a wet paper bag.

    *passes out soda and popcorn*
  18. Not to mention that ALL critter TPers have had the annoying ability to teleport to places that are NOT in their LOS. The aggro-ing to you from another room thing is certainly odd, not something I have ever seen before.

With regard to the Lost issue? I would be willing to bet that it is a bug.

P.S. The initialism you are looking for is WAI (working as intended).

Nice work. Me wants both please Devs.
Agreed. Very nice on both fronts.

It fills the desire for Hero MMs and also the issue of not having a balance in AT introduction by coming up with a AT for the villains to toy with. Pretty much every base is covered in the above, and all I have to say is: WOW, that must have taken some time to compile!

  21. Guess what?

How 'bout you /bug each of the missions that you encounter that has this issue? That might actually get things done. It is a long tedious chore to wade through hundreds of missions and check each and every objective to see if it is properly spelled out or not.

Coming to the forums and whining about it won't get anything accomplished if you can't/won't provide the specifics.

However, I do agree that it can be annoying, but it has never annoyed me enough to post about it here. Also, keep in mind that phrasing a post so that it is only really directed at a Dev is not necessarily advantageous, as I am not sure how often Devs read through this section. It is mainly other players who look and help out in this section.

It's not an abbreviation formed from initials.
I've concluded that is futile to state the difference betwixt an acronym (ex: AIDS) and an initialism (ex: HIV).

Most any mod: Avatea, Mod 08, etc.

Also, regarding the OP... my only criticism may be to change some instances of the word "need" to "want" as I think that would go along with the general idea of your post a bit better.

But, I am so glad someone has decided to put this down in a cohesive format.

    Agreed on all counts.

I too heard this. Praetoria will offer a new "early game" entirely, and consist of several zones. Soooo, if I had to guess, I would say that you can start at Lvl 1 (Neutral) in Praetoria and work on gaining alignment points as you level, at some point you will be considered a Hero/Villain and gain access to the appropriate zones in addition to access to Praetoria.

If the character already exists, or is made a Hero/Villain, based on what has been implied by the Devs thus far, I would imagine that gaining enough alignment in one direction or the other would be about a TF or two worth of missions (totally a guess there, but it seems to be what has been implied).

Edit: Pretty much all of the information that has been released is linked to at the bottom of this page.

    Too limited.

To day I went to make a Corrupter with Fire/Ice powers and I discovered that the powers have a preset color palette that prevent me from doing what I wanted to do. Ice power tints were all set to the cool palette of pale pinks and blues for the most part, and the fire palette where on the warmer end, of deeper colors. My choices where not as expansive as I was expecting. And made it impossible for me to do what this new system was said to I would be allowed to do ie. customize my powers to my theme.

I do believe the devs have to open up the choices in colors to the complete spectrum. (Really wish I had been able to get in on the beta, and caught this before it went live. Ah well)

I hope that in the near future they can fix this so I can make the toon I was trying to make.
I guess I must play this game differently than some.

When I go to make a new character, I keep in mind what limits the game has imposed on the creation of that character. I then work within that framework to create a concept. It's not that hard.

It is simply not possible to encompass ALL possible character concepts. Someone will always be mad that their perfect concept is unrealizable. I think the Devs did an awesome job of giving option to the players for Issue 16. Then again, I try not to look a gift horse in the mouth, or be overly entitled. In all honesty, they didn't HAVE to give us PC at all.
