You are very likely right. Like Dual Pistols as well... didn't Malta Gunslingers have them way before Thugs MMs and Lady Jane got them?

It seems like the Devs like to use enemies as tests of how something might work for PCs.

    Multiple Arms

Would it be kinda cool to have 3+ arms? Yeah, I think so.

But... I don't see this happening anytime soon. The skeletons just aren't put together to include a spot for extra arms... Not to mention the animation system. Literally every animation would need to be re-engineered so that the arms do not clip with one another.

Massive Work for BaB and Co. + Minimum Payoff = Not Gonna Happen.

The thread isn't about the weakness of some characters relative to the foes we face, despite your attempt to denigrate me and change the topic. It's about the existence of maps where you can't load in before you're defeated.
    Honestly?

I almost made that exact comment as a post here, though I didn't neg you for it.

I didn't notice that at first... but it is humorous now that I have.

Don't you mean "the latest"? As in, the join date tells you they started playing the game at the date listed... or sometime before it? They couldn't have joined the forums BEFORE they started playing, though.

Yeah, join date is less than useful. I have been playing for just over 27 Months now. <.<
  5. Wow, you really have that down to a science, Ironblade.

I really want to run this trial at some point, but haven't had much of a chnace.
  6. I don't know what to think of your Scrapper... I didn't see him yet.
  7. I think what's tripping you up is the fact that the power name for a Warshade is two words, and not one like Teleport and therefore all but requires the use of " ".

    (Also, _s are totally optional. powexecname = powexec_name = po_we_x_ecnam_e)

I have no qualms about the content of the post, just the way in which it was described.

I didn't recognize him at first without the Rugrats avatar. I should have known better.

    Rectally.

    Sideways.
During the one day that I used my free trial in WoW (man I hated that "game"), I saw more "lol" than is humanly healthy. There was one guys, who would put in a "lol" literally every fourth word... it was his comma, period, line break... EVERY-lol-THING!! I wanted to hurl.

As long as it is a first tier power in Teleportation... I am so there. I see Stone Tanks using this to get around in a spawn and Teleport enabling them to travel and move between groups.

Perhaps, but they have as much ground to stand on as a guy who uses his free meal coupon at an Olive Garden, and the next day start selling an even tastier meal... now he wants that one instead...
  13. If it is anything like my experience with a Fire/Kin Pre- and Post- [Transference], then yes.

After that power, I felt like I could respec out of Stamina... I didn't, and probably won't, but I could and still get by pretty well. However, before 35? It was kinda painful, granted that Stamina helped, but that combo is hellish on the blue bar.

I don't have any specific experience with the above combo, but I feel that the parallel could be drawn.

Really? I have more heroes who will be going Villainous, than the other way around.

AFAIK, they only impact a few things: what enhancements you can slot, the damage of a couple vet rewards, and your starting contact.

Something tells me that you have not yet done EVERYTHING there is to do in this game. There is SOMETHING for you to do... if you care to look.

Also, I am excited about the new stuff in the Halloween Event this year.

For starters, the power pools are tiered. Why should I be able to get Superspeed or Superjump at level 6, but can only pick Fly at 14, or Teleport at 20 - and must have SS or SJ first? That's a wasted power. The tiering in general just looks goofy.
I think the intention was for the Movement pool to NOT be tiered, so that one could get any travel power at lvl 6.

    Quote:
Second, Kheldians *cannot* pick Teleport or Fly. What are you going to do to that pool for them?
    Good question.

    Quote:
Third, you'd now force (for instance) my Fire tanks, who can grab two pools (fitness and leaping) to take three - one for combat jumping (slight defense, immobilize protection,) fitness, and the travel pool. I've got some characters who already utilize four pools (especially support) - fitness, travel, concealment and leadership, for instance. You'd absolutely break those characters with this.
    Very good point.

    Quote:
Fourth, it's FAR too late in the game to make such a major change. You would break *every single character in the game.* For me, *personally,* that would mean going through and having to respec over 170 characters - and I know many people with even MORE, not to mention what people would see on reactivation weekends - "I came back to the game and had to change my characters, so I just didn't bother, later COH." Adding a power to a pool, such as was done with the PPPs and APPs, doesn't have this issue - but that's not what you're proposing.

I believe it was the four year anniversary where we were told there were several *million* characters created. Think about that - then think about having to go through most of them and do a complete respec with these new (and, I have to say it, rather disorganized seeming) power pools.

Last but not least, what are you replacing the 60 (?) month vet reward with?
    Agreed, agreed, agreed.

I think the intention has merit, but the follow through leaves a lot to be desired. A far more elegant solution might be to un-tier the travel powers so that they are selectable at lvl 6, and then make the 60 Month Vet Reward give the capability to pick them at Character Creation?
  20. I was very confused as to what to find in here based on your Subject line. Now that I am here... I totally agree.

Perhaps: Architect Ed. options: SB I, II AND III

The Devs identified the problem with the drop tables... (I guess a variable wasn't initialized properly and caused the game to think the enemy was grey to you, and thus didn't drop things). I thought that got fixed in the last patch or the patch before that.

Actually, if the character were asleep, his protection would be suppressed.
  24. One comment on the above build... isn't it a bit odd to wait until 38 to get one of the signature Stalker powers?
