Is that... maybe... the Quiver back detail that Zwill hinted at?

Also, it was noted that the Whip is a flame whip specifically because then it could be a particle effect and not need to be a physical weapon (like an Axe or Bow)... thus making it disappear once the power was done animating and thus causing fewer issues and less animation time than a whip that would have to move around a lot when "drawn" like ordinary weapons.
So, unless something amazing happens... this isn't really an option.
Also, I see you noted holds and other "whiplatch" type powers. How exactly does that work? How would you be able to do additional attacks if your whip is holding an enemy? You can't very well attack AND hold a target with your whip. -
Odd, I never had an issue determining what any of the IO symbols were. Maybe I am just a weirdo.
(As if there were any question on that score.) -
I think there are two main reasons all the "antis" you mentioned come out in force to these threads:
1) This game survived for a very long time without end game raids... as such, there are many of them around.
2) Their opinion to the question in the OP is just as valid as anyone else's. -
I really don't look forward to Incarnate Powers too much. I feel like the ones we have really cover the bases well enough as it is... I mean, Hybrid seems rather... out of place? Not sure that is quite the right term, but it just doesn't seem to fit. Mayhap since it was added without a companion slot.
I view the Incarnate Powers as a bonus... that is mostly un-needed.
What I do look forward to is new content. Like, you know, actual story development. While I don't specifically look forward to new trials, that is the vehicle that most of the content is delivered through, so I take what I can get. I honestly get stoked to see the video portion of each trial for the first time, since they really knock home storyline development. Notably exciting were the UGT's video and the one in the midst of MoM.
What do I expect from further powers? I haven't a clue. I really don't think our characters need any more power. Mayhap that opinion will change once Battalion comes around.
I just thought of one thing that I do hope for for sure: That one of the iPowers ISN'T a transformation power. I would like my characters to not have a form change thrust upon them. I really don't like the idea of all characters suddenly looking the same for periods of time either... iPowers have done enough to homogenize the game as it is... let alone the one bastion of individuality we have left. -

I am constantly and consistently reminded why I love this game so much. And it is due, in large part, to the Developers and the rest of the community, being so darned nice and willing to lay their cards on the table and explain what is going on (unless it doesn't happen Soon™ enough for them to say).
Hawk and Synapse have been amazing in their back and forth with the community about power set development and implement reasonable suggestions, while also being able to weather the flames when an unpopular choice needs to be made.
Zwillinger, Hit Streak and the rest of the community team have been going above and beyond (see the implementation of the Tweet Code changes as just one example) to make as many folks happy as possible. And the Coffee Talks have gone a long way to give a face to much of the Development Team... and get a window on what is going on over there in Paragon Studios.
Don't even get me started on awesome folks like Dink...
I am sure I am forgetting a few, but there is no end to the awesome that can be found around these parts. -
Considering the time period (1930s) for Brass Monday, an entire new map would need to be constructed with period pieces to properly cover it.
Aside from that, it is a wonderful (and requested every so often) idea. -

Quote:I think this is, basically, what I will end up with.Maybe a mix of Living Hologram, Solid Hologram, and Hologram?
Boss pet could be "Living"
LT pets could both be "Solid"
2 minions could be "Hologram", with another being Solid.
3 Solid Holograms
2 Living Holograms
1 Perfect Hologram (or something like that)
Thanks for all the input, folks! -
Quote:I think it goes beyond that, Cpt. I think the thread title implies that all of us have been "doing it wrong" by NOT using Ouro once we skip to 14+ and then go back to play the stuff we missed since Ouro is more efficient. But the reason people are reacting negatively to your thread title is because it seems to suggest that we haven't already thought of your suggestion (and it's a very simple and obvious suggestion). That may not be what you intended, but it certainly doesn't help that you've earned yourself thin social capital from a weary audience.
The problem with that is: It just doesn't "feel" right. And that "feeling of wrongess" is why I won't do it that way. It is hard to describe any better than that for me. -
He very much is supposed to be "Baby New Year" the personification of a new year. Of course there are arguments as to how well that was accomplished with in-game assets... and well... it didn't really do the job.

Kinetic Melee is prolly close... I should think.

The vast majority of those are too long when used in combination... and well... none of them really work to give a hint that the items are actually Holograms... and not demons. Which also throws all of your demon suggestions right out. Holograms aren't evil in my mind, unless programmed that way, and these are for defense.
Also, what I need is a combination of 3 capital I's or lowercase L's. Either will work for this. -

Quote:I need 6 variations. Not 4.So still, why can't "Solid Hologram" work? You can have one with both Ls as Ls, and one each where an L is actually an I.
I think Advanced might be too long... but the idea has merit. I will hold out for one in which they are all the same, because that is my preference, but that could work just fine. -
Now I just sound really picky... but the O --> 0 thing isn't close enough for my taste. Lowercase L and an uppercase i are identical. Not to mention that I don't like caps.
