That shouldn't be a big deal... there aren't really that many things that use "twitch" reflexes in this game... some things are downright slow, compared to FPS-es.

I am sure they are a little surprised... but I would imagine loving the fact that we are as pumped as they probably are about it... with far less information than they have.

Quote:No, you can craft from level one.nope i got everything for bat wings..Do you have to be a certen level..?
You have:
- The recipe for bat wings
- 1 Demonic Threat Report
- 1 Spirit Thorn
- 1 Regenerating Flesh
and 5,000 Influence/Infamy
I got beat to it, but you put the wrong inf amount, Master. -

I had no clue what he was going on about.. so I had to look it up. I guess the dude who accidentally brought the word "guy" into the vernacular did some crazy stuff under Parliament? Sounds like an exceedingly odd reason to have a party and burn effigies.

Quote:Wormhole is a enemy centered AoE attack that teleports any enemies hit by it to a location you designate. Once there, they are hit with a fairly decent Stun. Can you elaborate a bit on how Wormhole works? I've never seen one in action and from the description, I can't tell if teams would love you, hate you, or even wait for you to use it...
So, a team could love OR hate it OR both, depending on who you team with, and how big of an idiot you might be. If you teleport a group across the room, and sing "It's raining men!" as they scatter from the cieling... you will have an angry team. If you use the power to collect a spawn and stun them, placing your target area near to a tank or perhaps on an ally's Ice Patch, your team will surely love you. I have also used it to gather 2 spawns together if the team is really rolling.
As to whether or not your team will wait for it? Probably not. Though there was a */Storm Troller friend of mine who would wait to place his locational AoEs until AFTER I WH-ed a spawn someplace. That tactic worked swimmingly.
[Edit: Dang, you beat me to it.] -
The powers won't be part of anyone's attack chain, and likely won't be used all that often... so I don't see the fuss.
Neither of them fit all that well conceptually with the VEATs, so pick whichever one you like better. Personally, if I had to pick based on effect, and no other consideration, I would go with the Black Wand... its lack of KB would make it better for pulling if necessary.... not that the VEATs really suffer a lack of ranged powers. -
Quote:What is your obsession with an EAT being unlocked by getting to 50?As I said, I think the best way to get a glimpse of what kind of EATs we might get from GR is to see what holes it leaves in the existing method of unlocking EATs when you get to 50. If getting a Praetorian to 50 doesn't unlock anything, likely an EAT will be added for that. If you can get a Hero Blaster to 50 and it unlocks Kheldians, but a Villain or Vigilante Blaster doesn't unlock anything, then likely that will be an EAT. If getting a Blaster to 50 unlocks Kheldians whether he's a Hero, Villain, or Praetorian, and the Villain ATs similarly unlock SoA no matter what, there is the possiblity there will be no EAT, or the EAT will be unlocked in some other way than getting to 50. (Although it's certainly possible that getting an AT to 50 could unlock more than one EAT)
The Devs have stated that they regret making 50 the means to unlock the HEATs, and that they wouldn't have made it the way to unlock a VEAT except so that parity could be maintained.
If there is an EAT (whether that be a LEAT, REAT, PEAT or GREAT), I am confident it will have NOTHING to do with achieving a 50 of ANY alignment. The Devs finally have a chance to start fresh on this one. -
Well, if it makes you feel any better, new weapons are often being given default auras, like the Tech-looking weapons (broadsword, mace, etc.).
Also, this might be something for the (un-official, I think) weapon request thread. -

Pardon me if I am splitting hairs here, but isn't that younger than a teen? Which is what the game is rated for? (Also, I thought I read somewhere that there is a minimum age to play... that is above 13. I can't access a copy of the EULA at the moment to confirm this).
As a further devil's advocate... when you let your child play, does he/she click the [I Agree] button? Technically, your child is not allowed to do that because clicking that button is in essence agreeing to a contract, something persons under the age of 18 are not allowed to do.
So, while I can abide that there should not be swearing (as per the EULA), it should not be to accomodate someone, who as far as I know, shouldn't be playing this game in the first place when not totally supervised, including having dear old dad click the [I Accept] button.

While I am not trying to criticize your parenting skills, indeed I know nothing about you or your child, I am instead simply using your text as a springboard to my prefered method of advocating for a certain goat-legged ex-angel. -
Quote:Thank you sir, for being far blunter about it than I would have been. I started trying to ignore her posts completely a bit ago... it just got monotonous and obnoxious wadig through the same trite objections.Honestly, aren't you getting tired of this?
Would you rather I go to the "Join the Resistance" and start mocking you all for being spineless do-gooder/do-nothings?
We get it. You enjoy being the goody-goody. Can't you just let us enjoy some honest villainy without the wretched slums for once? Evil + Sunshine = Better Game!
Go find yourself another Frenchman to double-entendre, OK? -
On a somewhat unrelated note...
I wonder if knowledge of Cole's power and influence in Praetoria will somehow find it's way onto Primal Earth and throw the relatively pure intentions of the Statesman into doubt...
That said: Long live Emperor Cole, but I hope the Primal Cole gets smacked around by an angry mob who he can't defend himself against without looking REALLY bad. -
