Quote:No offense, but doesn't this usage of "CC" seem a bit odd? If you parse it out you get: "[Total Domination] is pretty useless when you can crowd control a group of enemies without it." Just seems redundant to me. It would be especially bizarre if one were to take "mob" to mean a single enemy, as it is sometimes used, then it would just be plain paradoxical as one enemy does not a "crowd" make.Total Dom is pretty useless when you can CC a mob without it.
Sorry for the semantic tangent, you may now return to this thread, already in progress. -

This!
I think this is the idea I saw that I really liked, but there are a couple other mutant ideas in that same thread... perhaps it was a different one. -

I'm sorry, but out of a possible score of 20 pts. per post, your OP got an F.
Perhaps if you were to do some corrections on your original work, you may not have to retake Posting 101. -
Quote:Actually, I think those may be his words. I am pretty sure he self-edited at some point when discussing them.JLove has been quoted as saying he wants stuff to look good, and he thinks that having long and/or physics skirts looks like **** due to clipping (not exactly his words).
Since he's basically the person who decides, he wins.
Plus, I like that some of the NPC costumes are not available for players, it makes the NPCs more unique. It actually bothers me that some of the newer NPC characters (Merit Vendors and others) use parts from the Booster Packs... it makes me feel as though my characters aren't as "special" because even the NPCs bought the packs and are using their contents. -

Quote:I don't know if anyone will take you up on that. It usually costs someone money to trasnfer Infamy from one server to another (which is often necessary), also it is commonly accepted that Infamy is worth more than Influence.I post on the forums that I would like to trade 1 hero inf for 1 vill inf.
However, there are lots of generous folks around too... so, you never know.
No, and then yes. -

Quote:I would say that probably happened during the Forum Migration.Ive tried to open a few of the builds you posted its not working. Says data may be corrupted and I noticed smiley icons popping up in the info your supposed to copy and past to Mid's.
Just manually edit the text to remove the smileys and add back in the colon and whatever that makes them... it should fix your issues.
It might also help to turn off the code for smileys, and then quote the post that contains the code and copy it from the quote, instead of the original message. -
Quote:Right... because what the AE really needs is a giant crowd of XP whores begging to get on a team.so it wasn't like that pre i16 there were always dozens of people in the AE building visable people now not so much. If you think the same amount of people use AE now as pre i16 your just kidding yourself.
I look at it this way:
If I pick a random time of day, and go to, say the Talos Island SG Portal. How many people do I see there? Two, maybe?
How about checking out Ouroboros. At any one time? Five?
People don't generally stand around just to stand around anywhere else in this game (except maybe the D where that is the whole point and AP, where it has become the point) why would they do so in the AE?
(Note that I am not arguing that the population hasn't decreased... it has. What I am arguing, is that it isn't that unlike the rest of the places and features in this game at the moment.) -
On my DM Stalker, I actually preferred coming out of Hide with [Midnight Grasp] it did good damage, and tentacles suddenly enrapturing you out of nowhere would be disconcerting to say the least.

Quote:Just to clarify: I did not make the web page I linked to... I merely found a link to that page on these boards somewhere a while back and saved the URL for it.I've been impressed with all of ZNRGY's posts in this thread so far, and I had not seen the previous mentioned URL. After glancing at page that you did for ZNRGY, I just had to view every single image / character.
Now...all my characters seem...well, rather BLAH. Very impressive gallery that you've put together Thirty-Seven. I do hope that ZNRGY aproves and likes what you have created. I also hope that it finds it way to Sexy-Jay.
Amazing and creative work ZNRGY...I love your thought process on the little details. Thanks for sharing them with us. -
I played a Dark/SR to 50... The single target emphasis and the extra -ToHit from Dark really made me feel like a Stalker... Hell, I was not only blending into the shadows, I was using the shadows to kick ***!!
-
Also, as some mentioned, there were some earlier designs done by ZNRGY... and as soon as I found the following link originally, I nearly wet myself from the awesome, and immediately saved the URL.
So, I hope he doesn't mind, but:
MORE AWESOME is only a click away!
(Note: This is not my website, I just stumbled upon it... and kept the URL at the ready.) -
Quote:I actually think it's part of his cape... now the shield thing is a nifty item I really want to see in game. What ever the weapon is in the character's right hand...I want it...now. And I don't mean in the game. I wanna walk down a crowded street with that thing in my hand. "C'mon Punk...yeah you...want some of this?"
Heck, I want to see all of this stuff in game. -
Quote:Wow, I just had a moment of pure ignorance... I saw you say "Ka" referencing a Scrapper Primary and was like "ka" what the heck primary is two words... first starts with a "k" second with an "a"? I was stumped.I'm no CoX experts so I haven't tried alot of combos. I did run an Ma/Fa to like 24 I think and "scrapped". Him. Had a Ka/Da a few years back and scrapped that too, but I may give it another go since it improved. Maybe even fire/da. I guess that's the beauty of the game...to try out the many combinations and see what works for for me.
I actually had to look at the wiki to see if I had forgotten about the Kabuki Assault set or something... only to /e facepalm and realize that it was a shorthand I had never seen used for Katana.
I'll do it again:
/e facepalm -
Couldn't it simply be published as a link to a PDF document? Or as a series of JPGs (bereft of the ability to link
), or some other such work around that doesn't actually involve it bein "on" the forum post itself? Perhaps published as a webpage, with just a link to it in the forums (it would seem your layout staff knows how to work in HTML).
I'm sure these have been thought of already, but it seems like these ideas could work. -
Quote:And I thought I was the only one who did that...For most of my characters, a quick bio will be made up for them on their creation. It doesn't matter if it's short, it works as the backbones as to who the person is, and will most likely get expanded.
For others, their bio may come a little while after their creation, when inspiration hits, and sometimes, they'll get their signature uniform changed due to this.
For almost all though, they'll have to somehow join my relationship tree in my head from any angle, even if it's minor.
And putting it to paper gets me this...
Before you ask, yes, it does get a bit confusing. :3
Most of my characters are connected (some retroactively) to the company my first villain 50 owns and operates.
