Nope. I included a postulated reason as to the "design decision." Admittedly, the rest of my post could have been left unsaid... as it already was. Said that is.
I think someplace in my head, the post had more merit and individuality than it actually came out with.
[I edited original post to look a tad less stupid.] -
I get the last part of your suggestion... but what do you mean "free account"? That all Europeans would play for free? Wouldn't all us NAers jump ship to play for free over there?
Also, try at least a little to make a post that is actually a coherent suggestion. You know, with full sentences and an actual argument as to why anyone should care about your suggestion. Heck, I wrote more than like 12 of your posts just to comment on it. -

I think the original reason may have simply been not to confuse people.
[What Aggi said, here] -
In a way, that is very similar to placing rewards on people's talent with MA (which were soon after removed). Depending upon the gravity of the rewards, and what is required, I could get behind this idea.
For instance, if players could simply rate you a "Thumbs Up" or a "Thumbs Down" on a given costume, and there were, like 2 or 3 badges for it. One badge could be for getting rated at all, positive or negative, on any costume. One for getting your first good rating, and perhaps another that gives a tailor discount for getting a good rating on all your costumes. Could it be gamed? Certainly. Would that really impact anything? Not really.
An important piece of my idea is that the value of those votes would be hidden to everyone but the player. That way, some jerk can't make someone look bad to other players. And it's not like the system would really mean anything. There might be nothing more than a small icon on the "Costume Choosing" screen. -
Quote:Ummm, cya? Sorry that I don't really care about your sob story and somewhat backended threat to the Devs: "You not doing exactly what I want made me quit, so there. Do what I want, or others will quit too. Muahaha."My annual renewal is due to happen Tuesday. I canceled.
Regular info releases about GR probably would have kept me paying until beta. C'est la vie.
I'll be back. Eventually.
On the positive side: I really do think it is likely that tommorrow or Tuesday will bring us some more information on GR/i17. I have no idea what, and I doubt it will be the opening of the Beta... but it should hoepfully be something. Perhaps telling us if GR will be i17 or not. Maybe a hint as to the contents of the SB V: Mutant Pack... something.

I've been told that Necro/Thermal is a pretty good combo... flaming zombies, and all... but you are right, it wouldn't have too much to do.
Why would you not take at least one of the Primary Attacks?
I have a Thugs/FF that I am quite pleased with. -
Quote:I think his question was referring to the idea of a "fiscal" year, which doesn't always correspond to a calendar year... and thus the quarters, too, would be non-standard.Q1 is January-March, Q2 is April-June, Q3 is July-September, Q4 is October-December.
Q stands for "Quarter," or ¼ of a year.
In this case, that isn't the case though, so he can rest assured it is a simple 4-way breakdown into 3 month blocks. -
Quote:The powers that use those phrases are not really possible, AFAI'mC. Why? Because they would be binary. If you encircle a foe, you can't also coil a different one. You would have a ton of mutually exclusive toggle mez powers at your disposal... powers that would also make it impossible to use any other whip powers while they are active. Think about it.encasing your foe ... coils around your foe ...encircles your foe ...
Also, the reason the whip is on fire in Demon Summoning? To mask the issues they had in making the whip look passable. I guess that type of bendy-ness doesn't mesh well with the visuals the game is good at pulling off. Exactly why is beyond me.
Also, I am fairly certain that it would look bizzarre encircling certain enemies, and having them be immobed... ghosts, spring to mind, but that is already an issue with Control powers, so that might be a moot point. -
Quote:Respec him into a Huntsman, and keep the gun!! Aisinya (sp?) has an excellent guide, and with the increased speed of the powers, is quite fun and useful on a team.My Arachnos Soldier. He was stuck at 8 for a while, mainly because I got tired of looking at his Arachnos armor. Then I learned that SoAs get a second costume slot at 10 so I started playing as him. He's a level 26 Crab Spider now.
TBH though, I kind of liked him as a guy with a gun, so I'm considering remaking him as a AR/?? Corr on another server. The only thing that's keeping me from doing that right now is the fact that I despise all the non-unlockable rifle models.
[Edit: I see many others have recommend this too. Did the peer pressure get to you yet?]

Quote:I don't recall what Dev said it, but I am fairly certain that current tech prohibits this type of thing. It has been suggested a bunch of times as a way to "fix" several different powers in Gravity Control.I would like some kind of "reverse repel". Specifically, Gravity Controllers and Dominators need a "Black Hole" power. It could work as something with a droppable target, or as an anchor attack on an enemy. Picture the opposite of Hurricane. A power that sucks enemies towards a central location, instead of pushing them away.

I get what you meant, but regardless of when they were "expected" they were projected to be in Q1 of 2010... so they won't even be "late" until well into Q2, as it was only a projection of the time line, not a promise.

OK, listen: I really don't like the fact that "U"s are all doing what "U"s are due. That kind of messed up (as opposed to some other kind of messed up). Just stop what Ur is doing or there will be problems.
Hmm. I don't know why he has issues with the letter "u" (or what is due to those letters) and I am unsure how we are to stop what the ancient long past city of Ur is up to... not to mention that I am unfamiliar with the fact that there are multiple types of "messed up." I thought it was a boolean-type variable: you know, on or off. -

Quote:I will usually call it off. But I don't ask them to gather, instead I tell them I am going to drop AM near a certain player (usually the tank, if there is one) and if you want it, make yourself in range, for instance: "Dropping AM next to Ice Wall in 3, move it if you want it!"This does get to be a problem, when I'm playing one of my Rad characters I generally don't bother to call for AM, I just move to where I can reach most of the players and fire it off. That way most of the team gets the buff; on a good team that sticks together everyone gets it and it doesn't cause any break in the action.
(On a sidenote, I just started an Ill/Rad recently.) -

Gravity Control has it's -KB in its Holds, not its Immobs, so be careful with that one. I thought, that the singing tentacles did have a -KB component... though, it could be of short(ish) duration.

Perhaps the only reason this isn't allowed is due to PvP. You would be nearly impossible to detect... regardless of Perception as a Stalker.
Also, it would be hard for other players to select you, in order to Trade, get Info or whatnot.
I have to ask, though: why? -
Quote:Funny, cuz when I did a search for "ski chalet" it came right up. Though it did have a title that was unhelpful. Who asked you to be sorry? In fact I DID do a search, and did not see the thread you linked. I don’t have to be sorry for at least trying to find another thread, and I’m not.
Quote:Secondly, I am apologizing for opening a repeat thread, but to the forum mods…NOT you.

Dear Little Ecks Big Ecks HalfSlice Big Ecks Little Ecks,
A decent workaround is to use the unloadgfx command to make WWs load a bit faster.
I made a macro (based on Zombie Man's advice) like this:
/macro uFX unloadgfx
Then, anytime I wanted to use WW or the BM, I simply clicked the little uFX button, and waited a bit... then I clicked the contact person and it would load much more reliably. Never crashed from WWs after that.
Now, I am on a far better computer, so I needn't worry about it. The weird thing for me, was that the issue didn't begin until i16, before that the interface had merely been slow, afterwards it would invariably crash if I had been playing for any length of time before I went there. -
Perhaps, you could have done a search first... per the forum rules you didn't read.
If you had, you would have found this other thread here, that basically makes yours a bit redundant. -
