Please note that the idea of the LargeAccessAware flag is mostly a legacy for *developers* to use when they have written their 32-bit application to be able to address more than 2Gb of RAM and the /3Gb switch is a bit of a half-***** fix.
Thus - and this is the important bit - while this may fix the Out of Memory problem on some 32-bit systems it's a hack and there is a good chance that it will cause other crashes as a result of things trying to access memory that they're not supposed to be accessing as well as reducing the amount of memory available for Kernel Mode apps, which could equally cause issues. -
In the case of a name dispute or copyright issue, the character is simply given a generic name, not deleted. I would suggest logging a support ticket via the NCSoft website.

Quote:Specifically, they tend to apologise in advance for their poor grasp of the language, usually unnecessarily.Oh and incidentally it's usually very easy to tell if English is a second language. Errors made by a non native speaker almost always consist of syntax and conjugation mistakes. And they usually apologize if they can't be understood rather than complaining that it doesn't make any difference.

Almost certainly not.
The load it puts on the servers is hugely disproportionate to the upside it provides, especially for - and I quote the devs here - "a vanity item". -
Can you be more specific? Does it stop responding immediately? When you zone in? At random? After a fixed amount of time?
Have you tried adjusting the graphics options and/or resolution?
Are you running Windowed or Fullscreen? -
Correct. As a free player you get 2 Unlock tokens to start with and you can use them to unlock any slot on any server.

Quote:All Ice needs is some graphical tweaks, maybe some additional power effect options like Stone has to give a bit of variety.I rarely see anyone using this defensive set. I honestly think it needs love or at least some updates.
Power-wise, it's pretty damn good these days, ever since Circeus - with vocal support from the cadre of we few Ice Tank fanatics - helped convince the devs that it was under-performing quite dramatically compared to (then) Stone, Invuln & Fire. Since the Chilling Embrace changes, the Slow RES changes and the moderate DDR changes it's a pretty solid set. It's come a hell of a long way from being able to slot RES enhancements in the armours.
Though I wouldn't say no to a cold component to Icicles' damage. -
Quote:Correct. Reward tokens are still being awarded at the end of the month like Vet rewards were, the devs want to change this but at the moment they haven't been able to.Okay, the account-based rewards for subscribed time is still kinda...funky right now. Initially, when renewing a sub, you were supposed to get all your reward tokens up front. That's not happening for reasons that haven't been made entirely clear, but seem to be an issue with how they're implemented.
Now, the token you get with your sub, I believe, drops at the END of the subscription period "month". I'm not entirely sure. Could be wrong.
The PPs are issued at the start of the billing cycle but September (first month since i21 launched) seems to be a bit odd, so a lot of people haven't had their PPs issued on day one of their billing cycle, but I'm not sure how it's "supposed" to impact new subscribers or from what date it is supposed to be working correctly (I had heard "From October", but that's vague enough as to not be much help).

Quote:First Ward I agree with, but not the SSAs.Those SSA rewards could be locked behind a subscription or license instead of locking preems out by not even letting them join the team. Who cares if preems piggyback on SSAs if they aren't getting any rewards.
If someone buys First Ward they should be able to invite their friends along. -
Why would anyone buy the SSA content if they can just piggyback on someone's else's mission and get all the benefits of it for free?

Minor misspellings are not a problem, grammatical errors are not a problem as long as they're not too egregious - as has been said, many people are not native English speakers and many native English speakers are functionally illiterate - the problem comes when sentences are completely indecipherable and/or take genuine effort in order to decipher.
The problem also occurs when people fundamentally misuse the language by saying things such as "I could care less about X". Those people should be killed. -
What's worse is that it's exactly the same "mistake" they made with the Hollows way back where most players never realised there was any content from 5-15 *other* than the Hollows because Wincott started giving them missions straight away.

Quote:Many people are idiots. Many people are also blinded by the new shiny.I went on an Eden run today and brought my sonic/rad defender. They said we would go fast because they had 2 Time corrs (which I will admit are good). Then the guy says, "Oh and we have a kin, too." I mentioned that I was a sonic so I could contribute to the debuff, to which I got a "Sonic? Meh" and that attitude prevailed throughout the trial.
I understand why some people think sonic (and bubbles, too) need an overhaul, but they are hardly useless, but on my team of 8, I seemed to be the only one who thought that.
In that team you were probably going to be overshadowed a bit by the /times but they've only got one -RES debuff and they can't buff RES like Sonic can, so you were far from useless. -
I'm saving my unslotters for respecs where I need to remove a few key enhancements extra, no idea what I'm going to do with the boosters.

I feel left out, all my stuff is working fine
-
At a guess I'd say it's related to the Patron Pools now being available 5 levels earlier than before and the mission not having been updated to reflect it?
-
Plus they could take payment for Inf/PL services in PP using a slightly inflated price and then resell the PP.

Existing VIP or have you recently re-subscribed your account?

Quote:That was a flashback to a point early in the Machine's development where it only covered New York. By the time we get to "now" it's covering at least the whole of the USA.Watched last night's ep
fairly good, more insight into Finch. More buttkicking action. All in all I am liking this series alot. Personally I see this kind of like the ground floor beginning of an even larger operation by Finch as the version 1.0 of the machine only covers New York. Considering he built it for the NSA, I wouldn't be surprised by the end of this season he goes "global" with his project. -
The launcher doesn't allow multiple instances by default, look in the options and there's a checkbox to allow it.

A nice idea, but way too abusable by the RMT crowd so it won't happen.

Top right of the splash page "Continue to cityofheroes.com". If it's not there, clear your browser cache and try again.
