  3. 1) Bring Heavys too (RWZ and RV) they can somewhat tank and do put out pretty nice damage.

    2) For some of the more difficult AVs (GW/LR/Scricco) I might suggest you all go to warburg and pick up hyperphase then have someone aggro the av, pop hyperphase and try to 'tank' while the rest damage it, rotate a new 'phased' tank before the first phase drops.

    3) If you can stack the team with /mental. Drain Psyche is a nice debuff and with it stacked on an AV it should go down fairly quick. Also standing close to each other with World of Confusion will also help with mitagation by confusing the mobs around you.


    Shivans, warwolves (you can get them through Ozone), wedding band, nukes, heavys, and katie pets are all things that should help.

    I picked up this pack, just for Ninja Run. Yes part of the decision was because of PvP (which is getting fixed) the other 50% was it is a nice 'travel' power to use in missions. Nice speed and leaping abilities without the end cost.

  10. Ah, I feared that... haven't seen Haav in awhile. I just looked at the Coalition that RIBO belonged too to get the names of VGs.
  11. One of the popular misconceptions of Victory is that CoV is 'dead'. There is actually a very active player base who for the most part is overlooked because they are not active on the forums or in the 'major' global chat channels.

    RIBO, Lostsouls, Original SM, Inherent Chaos, HAZTEAM, and Death Rangers (plus a few others) make a very supportive and active coalition of Villain groups. Not only are these players active they also run events such as: TF races, Scavenger Hunts, PvP events and much more.

    While it is a ongoing joke that Victory has not run a successful Hami Raid yet, the truth be told there has been numerous Redside Hami raid successes mostly impart due to this Coalition and its players.

    Unfortunately, I do not know who the leadership of these VGs are but I am sure if you ask in broadcast in Cap or GrandVille someone will be there who can get you invited into this group. I have to say I have been lucky enough to join these guys on some really fun events and SFs.
  12. my emp is /elec, which actually works very well. I typically try to buff everyone up, then jump into mobs and short circuit them. Typically with 2 applications everything lower then a boss has no end. This helps to reduce the need for me to spam heal other or rock the aura so I can keep everyone cm'ed and forted.

    TS and HD were turned off on this event because that is what was decided by PvPEC. I believe the reasoning behind this was most of the outrage people had about 'new pvp' (post i13) was about those two options: Heal Decay and Travel Supression. So those for the most part have been turned off on all of the events hosted by PvPEC.


    I just want to say that it was great having these types of events where new pvpers and vet pvpers alike can come out and have fun.

    I would like to see this type of friendly competition to continue on Victory as well as for it to grow. For the most part I see people with good attitudes coming out to fight night and these pvp features, lets keep up that type of behavior and have fun.

    • Elimination Round: Three 3-vs-3 Swiss Pointed Rounds
    • Semi-Finals: 3-vs-3 Double Elimination
    • Finals: 1v1v1 Free For All
    (See the section entitled “Additional Details” for more information.)





    EVENT RULES

    • This is a SHW Event. Levels 47-50 only.
    • In the event of an odd number of players (not divisible by 3), random player(s) will take a turn receiving a PASS. No player will be allowed more then 1 PASS.
    • All matches will be 10 minutes in length.
    • All matches are required to leave Diminishing Returns enabled. This means that the "No Diminishing Returns" option is not to be selected.
    • All matches are required to have Travel Suppression disabled. This means that the "No Travel Suppression" option is to be selected.
    • All matches are required to have Heal Decay disabled. This means that the “No Heal Decay” option will be selected.
    • Teams may agree on the map of their choosing. If both parties can not agree on what map is to be used, then the map will be randomly selected by the arena system. No map resets will be permitted, including for cage matches.
    • One Reset is permitted for player disconnect within the first 90 seconds of a match. Any disconnects after the first 90 seconds (or a second disconnect) will result in the team having to play shorthanded.
    • Spawn camping is not permitted. If spawn camping is reported, the match will be repeated AFTER the Round Robin segment of the tournament has completed WITH the event host present. If an event host observes a team spawn camping they will be immediately disqualified from the tournament.
    • Only inspirations and temp powers bought from the arena store are permitted. SoW's (Strength of Wills), present inspirations, and/or base buffs are not permitted. Any player is subject to random checks by the event host. Refusal to accept the trade or team requests by the event host will be grounds for immediate disqualification.
    • Please be respectful to your fellow players by refraining from "trash talk". A player may be disqualified at the event host's discretion.
    • Please try to arrive at least FIFTEEN minutes early to register for this event.

    ADDITIONAL DETAILS



    The Elimination
    • The Elimination Round will consist of three 3-vs-3 matches.
    • Players will be randomly assigned to a team by the event host.
    • Players will be reassigned to a new team between each match.
    • Matches will be scored based on a Swiss Style Point System. 2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie/draw, 0 points for a loss. If a team forfeits (or refuses to fight their opponent) the forfeiting team will recieve 0 points, while the remaining team will receive 2 points for a win.
    • The players with the 9 top scores will pass to The Semi-Finals round. In the event of an uneven number of players (not divisible by 3) the players with the lowest score(s) will be eliminated in a free-for-all match.

    The Semi-Finals
    • The Semi-Finals round will consist of a 3-vs-3 Double Elimination Tournament. Players will participate in matches until they have 2 defeats.
    • Teams will be selected in a “Kickball” fashion. Team captains will be randomly chosen by the event host. Each team captain will then take turns selecting their teammates. You will keep this team for the entire Semi-Finals round!
    • The players on the last remaining team will continue to the Finals round.

    The Finals
    • The last three players will compete against each other in a 1v1v1 match.
    • The player with the highest score will be the event champion.

    Nice run Viv. We ended up getting masters for a few people who needed it.

    Everyone really played smart and worked together, for a Pug team it was pretty damn amazing.

    Seeing as it is r0x. I think he is talking about the masters of the 5th column ('cuda version) and masters of ITF.

    So blaster might work for the 2nd one but not the 'cuda.
