A "board" for example, can be a craftable recipe that appears when Fly is activated. There can even be several different ones to choose from. The standing animation already exists in Power Slide.

Tech can have a disc of some sort.
    Magic can have a carpet.
Elements can have a Boulder for Stone, Ice for Cold, a shadowy disc for Dark energy, etc.

We don't need to waste time and resources duplicating Flight powers that already exist in the game when a costume recipe can make a dramatic difference in how that power looks.
    Like a flypose emote.

I like to think of it as not as simple as yet another one-note nomadic warrior culture(which lets be honest that's what Traviss was pushing/selling), instead a culture/people that are trying to be pacifists, but have a history with firm militaristic roots.

They should say something soon though, with the eminent release of the distinguished competitor's game coming online, some words would be better than no words at all. Maybe not a full-on 'state of game' post, but something for us to try to parse for any smidgens/gnaw on the bones of possibilities and to placate the handful of players that might jump otherwise.

It's also on at 10:30 pm on Sunday too. I've been catching the later showing because unless I've been up all night that morning showing is kind of too late/early for me to be staying/getting up just to watch it.
  7. Not to nitpick, but kind of nitpicking: Hypertime is entirely the brainchild/fault of Mark Waid and Grant Morrison.

Starwars.com usually has the most recent episode up by Monday morning and they keep it up for about a week. Granted, this doesn't help you catch up with the first half of the season, but you can watch this half now that you know.

Though, looking at the site right now, they appear to have at least 4 of the most recent episodes up, so you might be able to catch up.
  9. Seeing as you're in the City of universe, I'd go with a Longbow red, probably darkish like their spec-ops guys.

THAT is the sort of backdrop of super powers that gives gravity to the special TFs where everything is so difficult it's almost unfair. You can think to yourself "Holy ****! I was able to take a tank shell to the face without flinching and that guy just backhanded me through three buildings! His power level must be over 9000!!!"

Basically, team-only events with the difficulty cranked up to 11 need a context of more "regular" content to highlight their difficulty and their exclusivity. When everything is an end-game raid, nothing stands out, and all you do is shift the bottom line bar up to 11, instead of having that be exclusive and exciting.
I also don't want them parading that opening mission to the Ramiel arc as a common practice either. If we are that much more powerful, let it be an accurate depiction of our increased abilites, as opposed to the shadow puppetry that that first mission seemed to me. Because upon reflection, while that first mission tells us we're powerful, it feels really false for one of my characters to run roughshod over all the big names as easily as I did.

I go with throwing whatever-a-rangs. So, in your case, Lion-arangs.

I mentioned this in one of the Art pages that Noble Savage put up, but I'll post it here too.

I'd like to see the Resistance style glow applied to all the existing weapons too. Sure, it's no lightsaber, but if you replaced the blade/mace head. Heck, why not bows/guns too. You'd have a quick makeshift sorta glowing "energy" weapon.
  12. Vampires sorta fit your criteria. Lots of ways to do a vampire costume in-game.

  14. Council Ascendants - something about their whole costume design, very cool.
Crey's Paragon Protectors - Look, super villains. I know, they're all supervillains, but before safeguard and mayhem missions, these guys were the only costume wearing supervillains in-game, barring Praetorians, which are only sorta supervillains.

  16. Even a moderate amount of dumping all your invention salvage and big ticket recipes on the market will net you most, if not all, of the free slot unlocks.

    Just sell everything for cheap.

It'd be nice to see some new types of Rularuu while they're at it, something on the same sort of scale as the Rikti changeover from naked to armored suits.

For all the random hacking he does in the premiere, I'm just going to assume that it's Tim even if they tell us in an episode differently anyways.

You know - they're pretty good/awesome but maybe don't have the personality/appeal to be major stars/titles and thus don't get brought out that often, or can't carry a full title by themselves so are usually a part of teams and such.
Here's the thing, within the comic book universe, the Tier 2 guys are only slightly less famous than the Tier 1 guys. So, in-universe they usually are not all that different.

Basically, think of it as the proper English gentleman of superhero comics. Does the work, but doesn't get the accolades and adoration by comic fans. But in-universe, most folks in tier 2 aren't that far behind in recognition. They aren't the go to heroes, but they are specifically not down in the dumps losers or also rans, like the film The Mysterymen. You can have a small rivalry going with whoever you consider your tier 1 sorts but it's usually seen as a friendly rivalry.

Tier 2 is where it's at though, they get to have the fun adventures and actual long term change. Tier 2s are the guys that can get character growth. Primarily, because they don't have the same sort of fanbase that the industry "requires" the sort of stagnation that comes with being a AAA title. So, there's a lot more wiggle room for advancement and growth for these heroes than the Tier 1s.

Which, is why most of my characters are, in my mind, Tier 2 and below sorts of characters.
  20. I'm debating leaving the first build alone on my 50s and just using the second build as an opportunity to fiddle with inherent fitness. Other than that, I'll go on a case by case basis on whether or not a character needs a new build or can use the second build to see if inherent fitness is the thing for them. Particularly, in the case of my over lvl 32 characters where I only have to worry about adding the occasional standard IO or pick a new power. Already sitting on more inf than I need for most of the over 32s, that I could easily afford a standard IO rebuild out of pocket, and still have plenty to spare, without breaking the build that already works.

If rare can be gained within a couple of months of casual gameplay (doing whatever you'd be doing without the new system, not grinding TFs) is that too slow/too fast or about right?
If I can see a level 50 Dual Pistols blaster within a few hours on the day of the powerset being unlocked, I'm betting that we'll be seeing an Alpha slotted hero by the end of the day that issue 19 drops

  25. Hardly ever.

I get them about 3/4s right. But usually, what happens is that I'll see the color in-game daylight and something is now off from the character creator, so I'll push to 3 and VIP port to Pocket D, or in the old days run all the way to the north end of Steel Canyon or rough it out to Independence Port, to fiddle with colors to get things just about right. This is the stage when things get a bit tedious, as I run through very slight color variances, sometimes one or two shades from what I had picked initially. Or realize that I missed some element that filled out the costume.

But from there, there's the sudden realization x amount of levels in, where something would improve this character in some way, or while I'm playing another alt entirely, I'll see something on that character that would fit the new character more or better, sometimes resulting in the other alt getting a change or leaving it, and jumping over to the other server to get that option right while I still remember what the change that I had in mind was.

In one case, I kind of had a problem in that, everything that I seemed to do would result in me not liking the next costume over, so that one would get altered, which would lead to the previous one getting an alteration so that it meshes with the just altered one.

Then, you get into new booster packs. And the announcements of packs, that sometimes set the creative juices boiling and I'm off again to tweak some element with either new parts or parts inspired by the new parts.

Then, I hit 20, 30 or 40 and the dance begins again.
