Quote:The problem that I see with them having added Simian features would have been people complaining that Beast Run isn't really Ape/Monkey/Simian Run.My guess would be that a gorilla/ape head would have been easy enough to make, but it's the rest of the body that was problematic. When you consider most of the beasts we now have access to (big cats, wolves, and bulls/bovines) they are all four-legged creatures, whose limbs all end up about the same in terms of mass and length. To believably adapt them to the humanoid skeletons we have in-game, you simply lengthen the hind legs.
The bird model was a bit more of a stretch, considering we can't make our arms the actual wings. But again, adapting it to the in-game models was probably relatively easy, considering it was plugging a pair of bird legs on to the bottom of the "Monstrous" leg skeleton, and designing a realistic looking bird-of-prey head.
For an ape, the problem is that they are already semi-bipedal (we evolved from them, after all). But they have longer (and in the case of gorillas, more muscular) arms, and their legs are comparatively shorter. If you put an ape's upper body on our human or monstrous lower body, it would look disproportionate.
Who knows, maybe we will see a version of this in the future, but my guess is that they skipped it this time around because they wanted to get the pack out and trying to figure out how to make Simian features work would have pushed back the release.
Think about the poo flinging(hardy har har) there would have been from the Ape/Monkey/Simian loving contingent. Plus, that's two or three different types of heads right there, add in another type of animal on top of a Ape/Monkey/Simian run? That's a pack right there. -
I'll say it again, make a separate European tournament. See, the pre-existing tournament is the Superbowl and the other one is the World Cup. See? Both football tournaments, but totally different. That'll work, right?

Grrrr, Pill hate cliffhanger endings to seasons.

Honestly, I'd rather have a sword based secondary(also some form of hand to hand secondary) for blasters.
Granted, you could have a claws/kinetic/mace (does katana have a short ranged attack?)sort of situation where you only get a couple ranged attacks to go with the melee ones. But, if I wanted to have both ranged and melee, I'd rather have a full complement of both rather than a lot of melee and 2 or 3 ranged attacks and be willing to accept the downside of being a squishier class.
Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind your idea. But, if you really want a ranged attack or two, to go with your sword guy, couldn't you just buy a revolver recipe(or get a shotgun temp power from safeguards/mayhem) and kludge it? -
Speaking of which, I noticed there was an interesting damage tics per second while within range of something, be it Willpower's taunt toggle or Storm's Steamy Mist. Kind of curious if we'll get something along these lines when they unlock the rest of the slots.

I'd love to see some new Fire/ice swords or no sword at all for some fire/ice attacks. If they have to be part lethal, would a fire/ice claw still be viable for the fire/ice melee?

Is it possible they stealth added these guys into Maria's arc? Anyone run one recently?

The funny part of your example is that Mutant SOs are the only SOs that have a small description next to their fancy name, so you don't always have to right-click to check what the SO does.

But, they don't cost different amounts, the commons are all the same cost. There's no real complexity other than switching back and forth between two menus to make sure you pick the right one.

Quote:Take a look at the other Incarnate slots though. I can see a lot of ways that the Interface and Destiny could be redefined easily without breaking too many of your rules.Yeah, that's more or less I intend to do. I have too many problems with the whole system right now, so instead of embittering myself for nothing, I'll let the system develop and see what comes of it. Maybe sooner or later something will pop in that will blow my mind. Everything is possible.

Quote:I don't understand why you'd go that direction when there's two robot groups that you could just as easily reprogram the fallen ones from the Praetoria storyarcs or related TFs.IDF Lore: Holographic Techonlogy enables you to summon an IDF Clone capable of enflicting Energy Damage to your Enemies. They take the form of IDF soldiers as it creates confusion and breaks the moral of Marcus Cole's legion.
As for the OP. Have you considered just unlocking Judgement but not slotting it until they, hopefully, add to the system? I understand not wanting the slot to go to waste, but if you don't feel comfortable with it, there's no reason not to simply hold off on that one slot. With the size of the trials, nobody's going to notice one less person throwing their Judgement power around. -

Good point. I was just hoping for anything that would lead into a godwar, rather than Praetorians/Hamidon/Cimerorans/Rularuu/Shivans/Nazis.
-
Ooh, can we pin it on another prankster god? Sure, he can be manipulated by some other god. But to end up with an all-out Godwar with our characters in the middle.

Quote:Oh geez, you re-roll every character every time something big/game changing comes around, don't you?Half a moment here...
This whole "merge the EU/US servers" thing... does that mean that everyone will have complete access to all servers? If it does then that means more character slots for free, doesn't it?
Dear lord... more servers means I need to expand out my tournament so I still have a team on every server... which means more spreadsheets... which means re-vamping the spreadsheets I already have...
Wait a second... but... but... would it be fair to the newer characters I create that they will be going up against veteran characters that have had so much more play time than them....?
Oh no...
Hmmm, make a European tournament. So, it's separate. See? All better now, not at all unfair, because the European server characters will be on their own tournament system. That should be okay, right? -
I have a character that has a different costume for each of the different ammo toggles. Let me tell you, I kind of hated having to wait 'til 30 to have the complete set. Even if I stay on Incendiary ammo most of the time.

That's just the basic list. I don't think it includes the Sentai shows or the Kamen Rider shows or Metal Heroes.

Battlecry: "Hey, I'm colorblind, alright?!"
I've already come up with easily 25 ideas for new animal-themed toons, most of which will never see the time of day because I already have too many. This guy might not even last, but the couple of levels I ust snagged for him were fun.
