Quote:I tried using the LFG the first day and it was a colossal mess in terms of teams that couldn't take down whatever EB, and not getting the basics of how things worked. It was a mass of people running around and almost making things work until you hit a wall of the randomness of the LFG not putting any debuff on the team or because it limits to just the bare minimum. The incarnate content WAS hard the first few times you had ran them. Even with a fully IOed toon, it still took the few teams I ran with a long while to the trials. Plus, there were FAR more deaths than what there are now.
2 days later, once it had shaken out and found that people were actually organizing full leagues, I went to Pocket D, asked for a team and you could not have seen a smoother run. At least a few people on the run had a clear idea of what needed to be done, and it was like a mostly well-honed machine as to how organized it all was.

As for what I'd like, I'd like a passive like what we had when facing off against the not really them AVs that we had at the beginning of the Alpha slot/Incarnate unlock, where anything that was within my Steamy Mist was in a constant dps aura. It wasn't a lot, but it was nice to have a stealth PBAoE tick away at something. -
Quote:So, what you're saying is, "Maybe eventually" while citing a source. Which, is a lot less annoying than a seemingly random comment and a winky smile.Devs have said that period zones are not likely to happen. At least not for just a few arcs. It would have to be big... like Cimerora big. The design of a 1950s zone, e.g., would be as much work as any brand new zone. So, unless you want to see two issues dealing with time travel to just one specific period, ain't gonna happen.

Quote:I'd disagree, depending on who and what the powers are.As a side note, contrary to Mar-vel I'd place most superhero children, the second generation if you prefer, in the mutant bracket as it is defined in CoH, i.e. people born with inherent meta-human powers. That means, for example, that Ms. Liberty would be a mutant if she were not boosting her powers with a magic belt, and Miss Liberty, her mother, would currently be classified as a mutant.
For example, if two mutants have a child that has completely different powers than their parents, then I'd say mutant. However, if that child has powers that are similar to the parents then it shouldn't be considered a mutation. Because at that point, it's no longer deviating from the baseline of the parents. In effect you could breed these specific abilities into every following generation. It seems, to me, that you can no longer consider it a mutation, but rather a natural trait of your genetic heritage, even if part of that heritage is mutant. -

"Hey, what time is it?"

Really cool looks here folks, especially liking the short skirt over the armored skirt and under robes.
Is there a clockface belt buckle for male characters too? -
-
Nice. But, the real one has better boots.
-
The other problem is that right now, a lot of people are chasing Incarnate stuff. So, it's a lot of people dusting off their 50s and charging through the two trials, on a seemingly endless loop, instead of doing the 20+ content.

But then, they didn't even give us fancy guns to take advantage of their special utility, they just handed us what we'd already seen in-game plus a handful of cowboy guns. And to top it off, when Going Rogue came out they add in the Resistance who have pistol users who use guns with glowing parts and then, not add that set of pistols to the pool of Dual Pistol options.

Sure sure sure.
I'm just saying I'd like to see a little something for the non-compliant folks too. Just because I don't mind some of the co-op content doesn't mean I can't see the other side's point of view as well.
They're creating an entirely new zone with probably a few storylines/scenarios, can we maybe get a little something for just the villains too? I don't need an entire zone just for them, I'm talking about a 4 to 5 mission story arc or two. Just a little something that wasn't locked behind a strike force or what have you. Or that ended up with villains having to be heroes. -
Quote:But then, that ends up meaning that there's no new content for some existing players/characters/toons to take part in.If you feel strongly that your character wouldn't do it, then don't do it.
Personally, I'd advocate additional material for villain-types to take part in, but I understand that there's limits to the dev's time. So, while I'm happy to have some characters/toons to take part in the action, it would be nice to have something else for them to do that was connected in some way to whatever was going on story-wise, that wasn't wholly involved with yet again saving the world, because there's certainly some opportunity for mischief to be had during all the hubbub.
Even if it was as small as a Wailer zone event heroside after that Hardcase mission. -
Quote:The problem is, it's not just a story, it's a game. There's limited development time.
That's really the clincher: Heroes get to engage in co-op content by continuing to do what they were doing anyway - being heroes. Villains don't. On the contrary, villains need to stop doing what they were doing and be heroes, and we're just thinking up excuses for why they're justified in doing that, all the while ignoring the fact that, in a well-written story, they shouldn't be doing that in the first place.
I'm all for them adding villain only content for these events/zones/arcs. There's definitely room for assorted villain type shenanigans for villain types to get up to take advantage of some, if not most, of the situations they put us in. Who knows, hopefully the devs will add it at some point. -

Looks like a midriff to me, which if there isn't a leather semi corset version would be a real shame.

In the Ustream thingie, did he say weapons when he was talking about the Steampunk rifle?

Quote:I have a problem with this because how do we determine 90 days in comic book time? How long is that in real time?Firestorm is going to blow up in 90 days... possibly the lead in to the next event?
And as I don't believe there's a forthcoming Firestorm book, where does this storyline get dropped into? -
Quote:My thought is that the White Lantern was setting up a situation where somebody either Hawk or Brand would step up and be killed by the boomerang. Granted, Hawk is supposed to stop the boomerang, but seems to me, that the White Lantern entity stacked the deck and made sure that Brand was there to take the hit just in case.Odd that in the White Lantern's eyes Hawk "failed" his mission. How exactly was he supposed to catch the boomerang, anyway? From what the Lantern said, it seemed like the plan all along was for Boston to die again saving Dove, so... what was the point? Ah well, at least Dove and Deadman can still talk to each other.
For me, the real question is "Why does Dove have to survive?" -
Weren't there a couple folks complaining about furries before the animal pack too?

I'd like to see something a little more superhero sidekick/supervillain lackey thematically for the Lore pets. I have no idea what these would be. Just a bit more comic book themed than enemy mobs.
