That's only true for most of the first season, the characters really come into their own from around the midpoint of season 2 on.

Quote:ooh... Good point, I wouldn't mind punching the occasional tank.Belated, but I just now saw those (I've not done the Lambda Sector trial, and my flagship Praetorian just entered Neutropolis today)--yeah, I'd like to see those made enemies, too!
Come to think of it, those military vehicles don't see a lot of action, do they? They look to be very similar to the models used in Vanguard and Shadow Shard military areas, and I think the only time I've ever seen those actually fighting is when they're stationary, and have a Turret entity as their top half. -
Could work for the, somewhat ignored, new Sutter TF as well. Granted, it's not as full-on Incarnate TF as Tin Mage or Apex but the Sutter TF has a strong connection to the invasion as well. Also, would give it a little more love, seeing as it was fairly overlooked as a lot of people were chasing the new trials.

Quote:You say this like people didn't go crazy over costume recipes and use every style of wing and rocket boots when they were harder to get and use them regardless of whatever travel powers or general concept/theme they had appeared to have chosen for their characters already. Are people seriously going to trash their existing characters for the sake of turning them into Thanos Jr?
If it's "rare", some people will jump on any bandwagon, ignoring if it actually fit their concept or not.
----
That being said, I wouldn't mind a few other designs for "Incarnate" hood rather than just the set that we've seen so far. -
There's usually a ton of the recipes for cheap in the auction house. Plus, unlike most other recipes, it actually comes with a couple of styles of winged boots.

Quote:ooh... Could use the Steam Jump's flying/jumping pose coupled with some sort of glowing talisman/amulet/tchotchke in the hand or maybe some sort of noticeably glowing amulet/necklace/legacy chain neck piece/other assorted bling on the chest during flight mode. However, as great as it is in functionality, its limited in concept. Sometimes I don't want my magic or mutant characters wearing a whopping great jetpack while flying. So how about Flight Charm? It would be functionally identical to the craftable jetpack, but without the pack as an alternate flight recipe more in line with magic or mutation (or even some natural) themed characters.

Quote:Ranged attack is easy, Hand lasers. We have eye beams, now put them either as palm or from the fists(think there's a rad version of this for X-ray eyes) or a little bit higher than the fists. Ta-da, ranged issue solved. Granted, they'd probably have to bulk out the Hand/fist/wrist lasers a tad, but it doesn't seem like it should be too hard to just swap in lasers for some of the other energy type effects, would it?
: A dominator-tweaked version of Cybernetics (see above). Sort of a stun-heavy Super Strength, or the Devices of Assault. I know "Cybernetics" doesn't scream "ranged attacks", but those could be replaced by hefty debuffs (e.g. Surveillance) and build up-/power boost-type self-buffs. -

How does it look when wearing a jacket?
-
Quote:gloves/hand options too, while you're asking. The short sleeve options on the jackets w/sleeves don't take into account the chest options for the upper arms and default to skin.
IMO all jackets should be combined into one category, giving an additional sleeve option of none and all the shoulder pieces from the sleeveless versions.
The same for robes/robes w/sleeves. -

Quote:Dude, how do you think you get to the point where you think Vader is? What you've typed is one of the types of people it takes to become Vader, and not just because it was shown, but because that's one path to take to end up somebody like Vader. The only thing you missed is the part where for all his control through fear and intimidation, he spends his entire time in the employ of somebody else and only considers taking over when he sees that there's somebody else there to help him to do it.Anikin was a whiney, little baby who blamed everything and everyone for his problems and tried to control events through thought and (what he felt) rightious action, around him and failed. So he gets angry and blames the universe, and decides to control through fear and intimidation.
Vader has always been a bit of a wimp too. -
Quote:Nighthawk is the Squadron Supreme's Batman. As for Batman, I can only think of Moon Knight off hand, but I know there's other Batman homages too.
The way they use Black Panther in the new Avengers cartoon has elicited more than a few Batman jokes by my brother and I while watching it too. Not that Black Panther is a Batman homage, but in the cartoon, with his vibranium claws/throwing weapons and martial arts prowess and his ability to sneak into the Avengers mansion during his first appearance and his constant showing up of Tony Stark, i can't help but think of him as the Avengers' Batman. -
Quote:But the point of Hyperion and Gladiator were to be Superman stand-ins. That's ballpark enough in my book. But none of them, Blue Marvel aside because he's a Sentry-Like retro addition, were Superman. They all had limites welllll below Supes, until power creep set in in the late 90's. Especially in Hyperion's case. Gladiator was "close" in that his strength could fluctuate into the Shift-Xish range.

And vice versa, the magic pack's bolero on a male character could make for a really nice Emperor Ming the Merciless sort of look. And while I don't currently have any ideas for the short Victorian female jacket, I'm sure people would be able to figure out something interesting with it.

Gorgeous pack, seriously.
Quote:But yeah. The pistols could just as easily be recolored to look more like retro futuristic ray guns. And since we have swap ammo, these potential ray guns already have different possible effects. Fully Tintable versions of the pistols(and rifles) would be a welcome addition to the pack.Subjective feedback:
1) Can we PLEASE get a seperate version of the new assault rifle and new pistols that is completely colourable, the fact that only either the stock changes on the assault rifle version and the little decoration that's almost impossible to notice ingame on the pistols doesn't really give many options.
Hence why I'm suggesting that you do two version, like there is a Legacy and colourable version of various weapons. Make a non-colourable legacy version and a completely colourable version which takes both primary and secondary colours like all other colourable versions of weapons do. -
I don't understand how somebody wouldn't have more than enough inf by the time you even need to start making IOs for yourself that they couldn't afford a handful of slightly overpriced mid-range common or uncommon salvage. Even if you aren't e-mailing yourself a small pile of inf to seed yourself to begin with and/or only playing and using the market casually.

I bet they'd go to renting the books, but the per month would exceed the amount you would have originally bought the book for. Which, they totally do right now at a local student bookstore for the physical copy.

It's not quite Carnival of Shadows, but have you seen what people have been making with the Steampunk pack yet?
