  1. uh guys. That's not original art. He said he had to do the hair from scratch; that's a clue. It's an image from 3d package that includes a canned human model that you can play around with sliders and so forth to give it clothes and hair styles of your choice. It's not original.

I mean, if it is, correct me. But it sure doesn't look like it.
  2. erm I think you say something/moonbeam combo after saying you didn't take moonbeam. You probably mean something/gloom?

if that's the case; spanky goodness for j00 ...

no I don't know what it means.

this is probably the ultimate incarnation of The Mighty Storm defender. as much fun as Rad is, it doesn't have the shear-godlike quality that dark does. You need to be able to truly molest the enemy to feel like a god, and tentacles and cones help you do that. Rad is more of a single-target shooty set. I tend ot work on the fringes iwht my storm/rad. My storm/dark is capable of plowing into the center and ripping out the ripe juicy core; holding it aloft as living serum runs down my arm and the cackle of foul beings is heard coming from the shadows which crawl across the street toward my prey.

If only there were a way to addened 'dark' to The Mighty Storm defender title. Perhaps Dark Storm? ...hmm I'll have to think about it. We need something which is severe without being ostentatious; ofcourse, it must be *at least* as pretentious as 'mighty storm defender comma The'.
  3. I've done the freak and the sky raider versions. Haven't cared to try the rikti yet. The sky raider one used to by psychotic, now it's a cake walk. The freak one seems pretty easy, but I had a good team, I guess. Are you doing this against rikti? And if so, what's the problem... are you unconcious too much or are you stunned or is it the swords? I had aproblem with swords once. I got the people to spray my apartment. It's gone now.
  4. holy crap! you can do 3d models in photoshop now?!
  5. playing two games at once is like playing two accounts at once. They charge 15 bucks a month for each account, why wouldn't they charge that much for both games? If they're stand alone products, then it seems like you can't have heroes and villains on the same account. That being the case I see no reason for them to offer a deal or anything else. After all, are you going to play full time on two accounts? I have two accounts and I don't. I keep the second for convenience' sake and to try to convince friends to play. Also I ended up getting it basically as an accident. One big consideration in Pvp environments is making it difficult to communicate with the enemy. The reason is to avoid situations where people farm each other, or have 'spies'. At a certain point, someone with two computers and two accounts can get around this... but the point is to make it dificult. This also leads me to believe that heroes and villains couldn't be on the same account. Taking these things together, it seems likely that it's going to be 15 and 15, and frankly, that's fair. I realize people will scream bloody murder. But I don't know. Maybe you should be able to flip-flop an account between heroes and villains once a month or something. That would be a solution which is above and beyond. But an account on a stand alone product should cost a stand alone price.
  6. Short version: A living breathing base!

    Long version:

actually, I think there's a way to make that work

In a comic book, someone 'offline' at the base is usually doing one of those night-on-the-town or baby-sitting type things. You know--hanging out somewhere on the grounds and brooding.

These heroes could be present with some kind of idle brooding animation such as 'pretending to nap while the stereo is on' or 'reading a newspaper with a hat pulled low over their eyes' and the badguys would have an easy time sneaking up and conking these heroes on the head. The hero would look defeated, but suffer no debt, since they didn't do anything. If the hero logged in, they'd rez and be dizzy for a short time (full health and end) and then the hero would be free to do whatever. The idea being that it serves as a warning that intruders entered the base.

If the badguys didn't sneak up and conk the hero on the head, the hero would run a simple script that had him run to an alarm, and then run out a special escape-hatch like door, which would close behind him and lock. Then the hero would wake up in some part of the base that was designed for this purpose... a ready room or something inaccessible to the badguys. If there are going to be base defenses, and if the base has those defenses, that alarm would trigger them.

So that way an offline hero would be like an alarm system, and even if they failed, they could still participate in the raid scenario--which they'd known to have happened or be happening thanks to their auto rez. Obviously, this has to be debt free.

I think having your SG hanging out when it's not logged in is great.
    however
there is the issue of multiple alts from an account in the same SG. The issue being you can't control them at the same time, so you'd have these basically homeless people hanging out in your base. I think it would be hilarious if you could write little chat dialogues for them so they could say something to you, and give them civilian-like scripts that have them walk around the base doing nothing in particular. It would make a base seem alive. This could give a base a real superhero feel. A base would need to be large enough to accomodate a full-sg. I'm not sure how big that would be. Probably not bigger than most missions, come to think of it.

Man that would be sweet. A living-breathing base idea!

<laughs> well that helps things so positron what is the deal with the history badges...we've found plaques but don't get any badges unless its multiple ones for a single badge. I don't want a hand out but a clue to end some speculation would be nice.
