yea this would be cool been thibnking about doing a ark useing the Corlax but could do with some more variation in them.
-
yep thats exactly how it works i often duel box and it can be a bit weird watching a target ragdoll.
Its a bit like propel where the propeled object difers from client to client -
that could work but i was seeing more as you targeting a individual and kind of talking him around thanks to your natural ability to read people (no using psy powers)
But i suppose you could take it to the view of your so charismatic that your able to persuade loads of people around you that there doing things wrong and that they should help you. -
Yea i know that feeling waiting the 21 days or however long it is is the easy part its the moving about that takes a good hour of so tho thankfully i tend to rotate the toon I'm playing pretty regularly so i tend not to have to spend a hour or 2 just shifting toons from one location to another.

Personally I'd be for keeping it unique to MMs and not having it affect other characters.
[/ QUOTE ]
Never seen the point of keeping power unique to a specific AT or faction especially one as generic why should good leadership skills make you evil. Also from a development point of view the more ATs that can use the set the better and each AT thanks to there inherent should function slightly differently when they use the set, tho i wouldn't be agenst tweaking to make the sets slightly different.
[ QUOTE ]
However I'd also like to see Inspiration taken and reworked into a Defender inherent in some way, that in Attacking you give yourself and your allies a bit of a buff (doesn't have to be damage) in the same way that Defiance 2.0 currently works for a Blaster.
[/ QUOTE ]
agreed the sooner they look at the defenders largely useless inherent the better and something like this would work well. -
Ive added some comments in and reworded some of the powers as they didnt make sense but In general I really like the idea of this set
Powers:
1) Group Effort - (PBAoE, +Perception, +to-hit, +def, +DMG toggle)
You and your team mates put in a group effort to overcome the odds of battle and put an all out assault on your enemies
1.0/s end cost
10% Def to all
15% damage buff
10% to-hit buff
Kind of a leader ship pool all squished into one should be nice and usefull in the lower levels and also good in the later lvls when stacked with later powers
2) Motovate - (ally +HP regen +END regen +Res all)
you encourage an ally to carry on into battle dispite thier physical or mental status thus making them regenerate faster and resisting a small part of damage
Just renamed this one as I thought endurance sounded weird not sure on figures setting them to high would make this very powerful
3) Inspiration - (PBAoE +special +DMG)
Your allies see you at the front line and are ispired to greater acts.
For each foe you stand toe to toe with will grant you and your allies a damage boost, the first foe will grant the largest boost with additional foes (max 10 targets) granting a smaller boost
this should be doable by the engine as its pretty much a combination of aghast all odds and assault
4) Outnumber - (toggle AoE +Acc +Perception +special)
depemnding on how many henchmen and allies you have, your capabilities for outnumbering enemies will increase thus boosting yours and others damage, accuracy and perception.
I like this power but more =damage was probably over kill it should still be very usefull with the +acc and preception
5) Doubt (Enemy Confuse -DMG)
your natural charisma can lead a foe to doubt his convictions making him easy to confuse and turn to your own cause. you confuse an enemy into attacking his allies for a small duration but he may hesitate so lowering his damage.
another great sounding power renamed it and slitly reworded it as it didnt quite make sence to me reading it I think Ive manage to keep it as you intended
6) Encourage - (ally +DMG +to-hit +Def all +Res all +regeneration +recovery +special)
you Encourage one of your allies to great heights of power driving them to exead there normal limitations for a short time they will be more accurate cause and take more damage however eventually they will run out of steam and be left exhausted
Duration 60s
+20% to hit
+40% damage
+175% recovery
+150% regeneration
+15% def all
+30% res all
Mag 2 stun for 10s after 60s duration
No regeneration for 10s after 60s duration
No recovery for 10s after 60s duration
-60% Def for 10s after 60s duration
basically this is a bit like conduit of pain or mutation but without the need for your ally to be defeated
7) Shout of Command - (ally +Res hold .ect (much like a break free))
You stop an ally from being held or otherwise in a captured status, you lead them out of the status and they will be able to resist it happening again the next time.
8) Intimidation - (AoE enemy fear AoE +special)
the amount of allies and henchmen you have with you scares the opposition, depending on the total number of your allies and henchmen around as a group the fear will rise
I like the sound of this it could start out as a mag 2 fear (same as presence pool) then eatch ally with a set radious could add .5mag to the fear so with a full set of pets would increase it to a mag 5 fear which is the same as a stalkers AS can cause the only problem I can see is the power has the danger of becoming to good on a full team it would be mag 9 if that team had had other pet users on it it coud be driven even higher a 8 man team of MM would be looking at mag40 fear more if they were thug MM and gang war was up. So some form of limit would need to be placed on it may be 10 foot radius max of 10 targets which would give you a max mag of 7 which is still pretty good.
9) Unmatchable Teamwork - (AoE +DMG +res all +speed +jump hight +Perception + accuracy + ToHit toggle)
through your training and command your allies and you work in unity, when in range your allies will earn a bonus to their movement, damage and accuracy. -
I like this idea and it would go well with the likes of thugs and mercs it would also make a pretty good corrupter, defender and controller set.
I would be tempted tho to limit what each power gives slitly i would also genralise the pet only powers so that they could affect team mates as well as pets as it would open up the set a bit. -
The shockers mask can kind of be created using the bonehead mask found under full masks.
I do think a second pattern option would be good in general (legs body head etc) being able to apply 2 patterns would add a lot of variety to costumes.
And I'm hoping well see a major update to the character creator SOON -
I like this idea in theory but as JD points out there no villain equivalents of course i'm not convinced there needs to be a exact equivalent for villains maybe villains could get something similar but different.
Hows about
Log out next to a Arbitrator and gain a combat shotgun (natural)
Log out in a abandoned lab and gain Super mutagen formula (mutant) /Advanced Taser (technology) /Increased strength Tranq dart (science)
Log near a area of power and gain spell of weakening (magic)
Some work would be required to get these in game but not a great deal a abandoned lab would need to be added to mercy (which would be useful in its self) and also some area(s) would need to be designated a area of power shouldn't be to hard stick some weird standing stones and give them a glow and there we go area of power.
In more general terms i like the day jobs and there associated boosts and powers that they give and would be happy to see some more added into the game i really cant understand the problem some people have with the amount of time they take to get as there clearly designed in such a way that they take a bit of commitment and some time to achieve. -
I don't know about TFs and what not being advertised on the bill boards.
But i always thought it would be pretty cool if they stuck the posters people are coming up with for the MA arcs up on the billboards it even makes a kind of in game sense architect advertising there arcs like real world TV channels advertise there shows. -
Well looks like they may be getting ready to start.

Is it not about time we got a bit of a update on i15 maybe some sneak peaks of the new costume sets or something
-
what about just /hospital
Make it so it can only be used once in a 2 hour period (don't see the point of making it any longer as logging out and back in seems to recharge most timers in the game -
I think it would be great if the trend became more socially acceptable as I'm sick of the automatic assumption that gaming = antisocial.
Just yesterday i had to bite my tongue while one of my managers complained about there son being antisocial because he was always up in his room playing xbox with people hundreds of miles away.
I was pretty sure me pointing out that if he was playing with people he was hardly being anti social wouldn't have gone down well -
I recon we can be pretty sure that there will be a new box why would they let champions have the monopoly on shelf space?
-
I really don't think it was announced now purpose i think it was genially a error some one was probably preparing it all for a big launch towards the end of the month and hit the wrong button and sent the e-mails so they had to make there move early. I recon we'll see more details emerge next week in a series of "exclusives" to the different gaming sites.
-
what again they really need to do something about these US maintenance times I would have thought the entire point of having a EU division was so that you could better schedule things.
-
I think I've maybe had it once or twice in my entire time using the forums but 99% of the time i have no problems and that's across 5 different computers and 2 mobiles with 4 different ISPs.
The problems just seem really random in who they affect -
RSS feeds are only important because people tell you there important if your that interested in a game you should be bothered to go actually look at there web site every so often

As far as I am concerned this whole farming/powerlevelling thing relates to the MA. NOT to PI or Ourobouros or the 'A Hero's Hero' arc or whatever.
From reading Posi's statement again it seems to me that the banhammer will be wielded (if at all - it hasn't actually happened yet) against the 'Meows', RCO farms, etc through the MA.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's part of the problem tho IMO farming should be tackled as a hole not just in individual instances stamping down on it in one place only moves it else where.
[ QUOTE ]
I know full well that posting 'no one made you* play those arcs' is not going to change anyone's opinion on the matter.
I'm also gladdened to see less of the 'it's my subs, I play how I want.' Yes, it is 'your'* subs. Play how you want. If the Devs then tell you that, actually, that's *not* the way to play then you have a few options:
Make a complaint (not here, but to the Company, in writing), vote with your feet (i.e. leave the game, stop paying subs). Those to me are the 'sensible' options.
Arguing that someone made you do something by their omission to make it crystal clear that powerlevelling through the MA is not acceptable is, in my mind, akin to the McDonalds case which resulted in them having to put 'This product contains hot water' on their coffee cups.
So I'll ask a simple question: Is levelling very quickly through the MA (i.e. from, say, 1-35/40/50 in a day) acceptable?
[/ QUOTE ]
While no one made any one do farm missions at the same time no one was stopped you (general you) doing it either. which is partially why this whole thing annoys me so dam much we have people on the forms saying "well the devs told you what they expected you to do with it" when has the player base ever done what the dev's expected were human beings problem solving is built into us on a almost genetic level.
Some people view getting from 1 to X lvl as a problem and look for a way to overcome that problem with the least effort its just plain human nature and the devs new people were going to abuse the MA positron said as much in his initial post they were made aware of a potential problem with the RCOs during beta they could see for them selves the problem once MA hit live but they did nothing for a month a hole month a month that included quite a few spells of server down time to fix problems with the MA but after each one the RCO farms were still there.
In short the problem was magnified by the Devs decision not to move on it
To then make a statement saying that any one who misused the MA may loose progression on there characters and any one who created farm maps may loose a mission slot is ludacris they could have stopped it before it even started but chose not to but feel its ok to threaten to ban people retroactively!
They don't even acknowledge that there slowness in acting exasperated the problem its all positive spin on how there taking a stance against farming had there just been the merest hint of humility in the announcement it would have came across so much better had it included some of the wording from his second announcement it would have been even better but once again we see a PR failure. -
exactly its one thing to [censored] off your player base when you have no direct competition its another to [censored] them off when your competition is coming over hill and that competition apparently plundered your own suggestions section.

*speaks loudly at the sky*
It would sure be nice if some kind of representative of Paragon Studios would come and shed some light on this issue, so that all is made clear us, the players. Hint, hint.

Yes maybe we could get shot of this Damocles sword thats hanging about and back to playing -

Most (not everyone) of those who seriously would quit over farmer bans are either in "and good riddance" category or would quit no matter what
[/ QUOTE ]
And what about that small "not everyone" group (which I'm in either that or I'm a good riddance member)
There you have a group of players that have paid there subs quite possibly for several years and have more than likely purchased most if not all the booster packs loyal customers that your happy to see move else where (and i bet you can guess where they would move).
because i know personally I've pored a lot of cash and time into this game (2 accounts all the boosters numerous character slots and transfers) if it came to the point where i couldn't log into a character because i had farmed with them at some point i would quit without a second thought also if it happened to any of my in game friends and they quit i would quit along with them.
I would do this because i don't want to support a game that would change the rules and then retroactively apply them I'm all for drawing a line in the sand but it should be a line it shouldn't be
"well now we've decide we don't like MA farming so every one who's ever done it may get banned"
It should be a case of "As of (insert date) farming will no longer be tolerated any one found to be taking part will be banned"
this message should be posted in game and pop up as soon as people log in then there can be no claims of "i didn't know" that way the line is drawing and then every one can move forward from that point.
Of course even then farming wont disappear and i believe the devs are foolish if they believe even there current statement will stop farming all that will happen is people will find better ways to disguise there farms in the MA or they'll move back to PI and GV but its still going to happen.
Any way i await and see what comes of the statement but at this rate it'll be another month before we here of any action.
