If you're tanking on a team, you'll want to hold aggro as much as you can. Ideally, of course.

I had always thought that the 5th Column was an Axis organization comprised of German Nazis primarily along with their allies, the Italian Facists. However, the more I look at it, it seems the opposite is true.

Compound that with the fact that Arachnos was also an Italian organization backing the Facists before Recluse took the reins (according to the novels)... Was Italy at the forefront of the Axis during WWII, instead of Germany?
Not really, but it does appear that the Center was hiding a considerable amount of power, maybe to rout Hitler's forces after the war if the Axis powers won. I mean, he was able to place Requiem as a mole as Hitler's blackguard. That's power.

We still don't really know what caused the break between the Council and Arachnos.

  5. I'm really actually curious.

I think this thread will be more interesting, so to speak, if posts are made supposing that we know nothing of what's already here or of what's already coming, and if our 'wants' are stated in the positive (i.e. "I want..." not "I don't want...")

    Please, be specific.
    __________

I'd like any endgame to be fun; whether it's the satisfaction of participating in a well-written plot, the feeling that I actually completed a tough challenge that was worth my time, and/or taking the opportunity to advance my character(s) in a way that I feel was significant, 'fun' for me means that I feel like I get something positive out of the experience, no matter how many times I have to do it.

    I'm not terribly picky.

If we don't, though, we'd have to start stealing stuff from Malta.

That comes out at 1,124,400 different colours and combos for hats
Actually, for some hat options, you have 160 colors for hats, and 160 colors for the hair under those hats.

    Just sayin'.

Well, the only Praetorians we've gotten to know again through gold side are Tyrant, Marauder, Anti-Matter, Neuron, Mother Mayhem, Chimera, Dominatrix, and Mynx. We don't really get to relearn the motivations of Battle Maiden, Black Swan, Malaise (though that might not be too hard), Infernal, Diabolique, Seige and Nightstar until we actually have to fight them, so for all we know they could still be the "using your blood to write on the wall" kind of nuts that we already know.

Primal Hamidon has been known to have the intelligence and know-how to hijack dimensional rift technology to try and invade other dimensions. Would be bad if his more powerful Praetorian version got his hands on it.

'course, that won't answer the question why we don't try and scrap all of the portal tech over there, and then let Praetorian Hami take over. Maybe the heroes wouldn't like those aesthetics, but the villains might not care so much...

That's really an issue that's split between two different problems:
    1) I think BAB told a story about how they initially had power customization, at least in terms of changing colors, for Mastermind henchmen. When they were starting out, he asked one of the art folks to apply a blue swatch to some MM zombies. They became bright blue smurfs.

Basically, they'd have to spend time making sure the color mapped to the right portion of the texture over the character model.

    2) This isn't even considering the entirely new models and 'ugraded' bits they'd have to make for each model for them to make sense. I saw your suggestions in another thread, n' I thought they were kinda interesting. The art team is already overtaxed as it is, though, and implementing a new character model for play involves a bit more than fitting it over a generic humanoid animation skeleton. So, I don't know what their budget would be to do even just this part without having a reason to bundle it in with other content.

I do think it's possible to apply customization to Incarnate abilites. There's already weapon customization for Mace Mastery and Munitions Mastery, though this works a bit differently than changing the shader color for FX powers. However, I think they would have to change things so that every player already has every Incarnate ability, but they only become visible/usable/active when they have the appropriate enhancement slotted. Similarly, each player has the power in their power customization list (or whatever it's called) but all save the one they're currently using are locked and invisible.

Note that I have no actual idea how the costume/power customization code works.

In any case, I'd have the actual mechanics for the Lore slot ingame before any tweaking is done on it "for fun."

The 'market leader' has infinibux to do it all at once. CoX does not. Meanwhile, to my understanding, the 'market leader' often makes the uberloot you worked so hard to get worthless by the next go-round, so there is that. CoX does not do that.
I like this post on both points.

It's way too small to be an entire zone.

I'm not sure if the Well is actually the source of all power, other than to give a jump start to the new age of supers, since there's in-canon evidence of super-powered beings before Statesman and Recluse drank from the Well. The five origins we use right now actually seem to be determined by the state of the 'power grid' thing that Dr. Brainstorm was trying to tinker with.

I think the only reason that people roll their eyes at the Origins of Power explanation of things is that it was explained way too fast for something that was supposed to be a fundamental piece of canon, in a 'Oh, by the way, ALL MYSTERIES OF LIFE REVEALED' sort of way. If the idea had been introduced more slowly that superpowered beings exist not by chance alone, but by destiny or potential as well, I think it would have been recieved better/more seriously. I think it's okay, for what's been done.

I'm sure we'll find out what the real motivation of the Well entity is in the future, because I don't think many people buy it's "I don't believe in good or evil, only power and will" stance, because that's a position that most villains claim to take as well. I mean, Merulina seemed to have a pretty good idea of what it was up to, and when she tried to stop it, it killed her and helped Calystix turn her corpse into a gigantic sea monster. Jeez.
