    I have...

    1) A Dual Blades Tank that combines themes of samurai and wild-west dueling, who won't be rerolled because there's not as much finesse in a giant slab of metal (or something else of that size class)

    2) A Broadsword Scrapper based on the theme of a contemporary, roguish black knight, who won't be rerolled becasue a gigantic sword doesn't seem quite as classy.

    3) A Dual Blades Stalker --

Well, really, this is boiling down to a tradoff between a brute-strength concept and a finesse concept. I have a hard time believing we'll be seeing a Titan Weapon Stalker. I think we barely got Broadsword Stalkers.

    Yes.

These, and a few others, are what keep me up at night, wondering what I'll do about Titanic Weapons when those come about. All of this assumes the set won't suck mechanically or be horribly ugly aesthetically, but on this account I choose hopeful excitement, so I'm looking forward to it. I just want to cover all the bases I can with little to no information so I'm ready to act immediately when that launches.
Well, if you recall what little info was given during that one Ustream, our characters won't be wielding styrofoam models: the attack animations are going to start out slow and improve with successive attacks, if I recall correctly. Also keep in mind that over the years, many people haven't had the patience to work with attacks with long animation times such as Shadow Maul or Hail of Bullets (until the latter got the def bonus during the animation) because it left them vulnerable to respond on the fly; Titan Weapons users will have to learn to deal with this issue. I have to believe, however, that the burst damage of Titan Weapons will be even greater than Broadsword; but on the other hand, I also believe that to balance that again, your Momentum drops straight to 0 the moment you stop using Titan Weapons attacks (which makes sense, to be honest.)

    Also, go to sleep. :V
  2. I've got a LVL 39 Storm/Elec Defender for Eden and LVL 50 Dark/Dark Brute for Ice Mistral.

They could doorsit and the 300 romans would be slaughtered just as fast and Nictus-powered Romulus would go down just as fast.

That is indeed unfair to the 49s. It makes them feel like they're being powerlevelled. It's boring and unfun. It contributes to the game's subscriber churn and will eventually cause a player to move on to more interesting subjects.
To be very honest, all of the Incarnates I know that could potentially do this were already at that level of power before I19. As far as I've been aware, all of the Incarnates I've met that couldn't before I19 still can't (barring now-fixed Pyronic madness).

The issue of non-Incarnates feeling shorted on their efforts by Incarnates is a phenomenon I have only heard about on the boards, not something I've seen or experienced on my own characters ingame. I have never seen this discussion occur on any global channel I listen to, which includes both main server channels on my main server and the MA Arc Finder channel.

I cannot believe that this is or will be the major issue that you claim it to be.

It's not fair for my LVL 50 to have more powers via flashbacking than an actual LVL 11 character when I run Posi for the WST on their team. I never use them because they might feel insulted, flaunting my LVL 50-ness all over the place. I also make sure to take out all of the enhancement sets I've slotted for my character because it's not fair that I can get more enhancement value out of them per slot than the lower-level players might.

Well, they happen every thirty seconds, so you'd basically be getting warning spam in addition to all the other messages popping up in front of you...

Your character does recieve something akin to the 'I HAVE A METEOR FRAGMENT' aura from Bloody Bay, and in addition, you receive a warning that Anti-Matter is disintigrating you that other people can see if they're paying attention. In the heat of the battle, though, it might be hard for other people to see either after the initial message if you don't tell them you're melting, like a guy I saw last night not do.

One of the most important things people need for this trial is good communication.

I saw that thread, but there's some auras avaialable that aren't previewed on the update page, and none of the emotes are previewed.
  8. Does anyone know of any screens of the costume pieces, emotes, and auras that are new with I20.5? I figured someone might've posted some on the 20.5 beta forum somewhere, but if there is, I can't find it.

You're assuming that the Coming Storm and the Battalion are the same thing. We've never had a lot of solid info on what the Battalion is or has done. You're also assuming that what you're thinking of as two different plot lines aren't actually tied into one another, although that is also speculation.

Right. However, that's just one of a few tenuous connections we can make between the Shivan meteors and The Coming Storm: that they aren't of this world (and that's just maybe, in the case of the latter.) The other two are that 1) the Shivans are being used as a type of 'scout force' for the Coming Storm (perhaps unwittingly), and 2) They both wanna wreck stuff on planet Earth for one reason or another.

I'll go as far as to accept that any further appearance of new Shivans could be related to the Coming Storm, but only as a peripheral to any actual invasion.

As for the far future Kheldian plight, the Nictus are candidates for suspicion as much as anything else...which isn't to say that the Nictus couldn't be the force behind the Coming Storm, too, but I'm of the mind that the TARDIS comment is slightly closer to the truth than anything else. Slightly.

  23. More tweaking. Dumped Taunt and Oppressive Gloom for TP Foe (which I use) and Dark Obliteration. I'm also still thinking of taking Ageless Radial over Ageless Core because Cardiac is supposed to close the endurance issue, and Dark Armor has no -DEF resistance; any -DEF could crumple the defense bonuses I'd have worked so hard to get.
