I'd enjoy reading more about their story, Kheprera. It's an intriguing piece!

That is a sexy pose! Does Armor Illustrated do a swimsuit issue?
Great lines and great pose on this! -
That is really cool, with a moonlit feel. Very fashion-sketch-like!
-
Hi there! Those are some *nice* pieces, one and all! Very cool, I really like that portrait, simple but full of personality. And the third one is one heck of a thank you, love the colors and the effects. Congratulations on some excellent pieces of art

Sprocket? Now is the time on Sprockets that we DANCE!
Both so lovable. And that greybaby looks like a real sweetie!
This thread is making me jones to adopt another grey. -
The incredibly diligent UndergroundUno finished up my 4-piece series even in the face of a very busy Real Life.
The Masked Shrike
and her daughter
Ms. Afterburner
Good to see Undergrounduno's art again, I look forward to seeing more new work from her. -
I only lurk around a few other areas here (the general forum, badges, that's about it). I like the friendly, open community here in this forum. I'm glad I delurked.
I post here and read here because I love character art. I guess I'm way too enthusiastic about it right now, it's still exciting and new. Having my own characters done enhances my enjoyment of the game. Sharing the art I've received is a way to participate in the larger community, and I also feel like recognizing the artists by bringing their work to the forum. Hopefully I can help bring some artists to the attention of others, as I know I've learned about a *lot* of artists I love just from browsing through the posts here.
Being around other people who understand and embrace the art-related part of the hobby is a lot of fun. I'm enjoying the forums more than ever before.
I just really dig character art, my characters or those belonging to other players. Seeing them depicted in different ways makes the game more fun, and the world more 'real' to me. And it makes all the characters more a part of the Paragon I play in. I feel more connected to the larger community, if any of that makes sense. -
Is that a profile/face/silhouette as the shadow on that building in the background?
Or maybe I am now reaching for things! I never see these hidden surprises. -
I love her stuff too. I would even consider dealing with the dreaded Western Union or WebMoney again if she ever decided to reopen her queue. Thanks for the reminder of this artist!

Greyhounds! What sweet babies. Yours are beautiful, Quickening. Two 40 mph couch potatoes looking very adorably smug on the sofa.
Here is a photo of my Happy Cakes, she was also a retired racer. It's a very cruddy photo but I don't take pictures much.
Happy Cakes snoozing
How I miss her -
I really dig this...romantic and pretty and yet sort of creepy. It made me want to learn more of their story.

Yes, I may or may not have seen it, and I may or may not have thought it was really well done...*looks round shiftily*
Great job by RocketBoy! -
I'm no artist, so I would not presume to offer any in-depth critique of anyone's art anywhere. I'm simply not qualified to give that. I *do* always at least try to offer some small observation when I comment and praise pieces here and at DA. If I am moved to comment, something has prompted me to do so, so it would be lax of me not to mention it. Nothing insightful, just whatever I feel, like "I love the sense of movement" or "What great expression!" Whatever it is that pushed me to start typing in the first place. Not sharing that thought would make me feel I'm not being respectful to the art, the artist, and/or the commissioner.
I have posted a couple of bits or writing, and even some drawings, at DA. In that sort of forum I would expect critiques. Here I'm not so sure. It's a different sort of feel, a community of enthusiasts and appreciators as well as creators. So I just don't know. I do know I will try to be more thoughtful about the issue. -
Both, actually, sorry for the confusion. Thanks to Slick I have a nifty avatar now, so I'll take the tips offered here and see what I can come up with on the wallpaper.
-
Okay, ya got me there, Hericane! I guess it's obvious I've never played a stormie, heh.

RocketBoy does it again!
The Shrike lends a hand
Thank you, RB, for this request. It's incredibly cool. All I have to say is, I can't wait to see what you're going to be doing for your commissioned pieces.
This piece makes me wish it rained in Paragon sometimes. -
Heavens to Betsy, Slick, thank you! That's so nifty! Once I figure out how to save it I will be using it. But then someone who digs Vlad Taltos must be cool.
(And for the record I've never actually had an avatar with a font so you didn't duplicate anything.) -
So full of movement! Very cool.
Looking forward to seeing the rest. -

I can quit anytime I want. *twitch*
Who am I kidding? I'm just glad I found the ennabler...er, support forum. -
Thanks for all the tips and advice, folks. I will certainly give it another try.
Slick has it hit on the head there, I'm really wanting an artsy misty girly soft-focus collagey thing complete with sappy writing. I think you all know the kind of thing I'm talking about. (No, I'm not 13, though I may have a few Lisa Frank notebooks in the house somewhere.) I admit I don't actually have Photoshop, just Photoshop Elements, as I thought if I could figure that out I would then try the 'real thing.' But seriously, operating an aircraft is much easier than figuring this stuff out!
Permissions hopefully won't be a problem as it's mainly one artist at this point, and since the wallpaper will be for use only here on my computer, I'm hoping he'll agree to allow it.. Since the slideshow type avatar thing is more complicated, I'll just stick with the old-fashioned stationary type (to the relief of all).
Anyway, I'll keep at it, thanks for all the ideas, guys! I'm sure that threatening the computer with a heavy blunt object will also help. -
That's going to be splendid hanging on one of your walls.
-
Thanks for the info, LJ! I guess what I was hoping to have done was something really nice and artistic, using various images I already have. I've seen some really lovely wallpapers here and there so I know they can be done!
Unfortunately, I just can't manage to do much with, say, Photoshop. I can't make heads or tails of it. Computery type things make my brain implode.
But I'll sure go check out Photobucket. Thanks!
