Looking danged sweet! I particularly love the close up and the action shot in the back. Can't wait to see this one done. Thanks, LJ!

Happy birthday! Have lots of cake and presents!
-
Very cool! I always enjoy seeing pictures of characters that give me more of an idea of the story going on there.
-
Just a heads up! Brandon has reopened his quickie commissions. Details at his DA site.
*Disclaimer: I have no affiliation with Brandon McKinney other than as a very happy client and a fan. -
I didn't see it and I have plausible deniability. Did not see it, and if I had seen it I am sure I wouldn't have thought it was totally cool, especially the brilliant colors, which I didn't see.

Oh, that's a great one of Dyna, and I didn't know you did elves. Oh, no. *starts to look thoughtfully at credit card*
Great pieces, I really dig the elf! -
Another cool one. I really like her pose and the flow and movement of the piece, especially the cape. Neat!

This turned out so great. I love it. PC looks so cool and tough. I love the way you did the eyes. I know PC's player will love it, he just loves the Batman cover it was inspired by. Thank you LJ!
The only problem is now *I* want one -
I really, really like this one. I love those vines. What a great way to portray this nifty character.

Love this. So awesomely retro. Fabulous.

Branson is cool. He's a pilot, he's cool

Thanks for the good words, guys. I'm so glad to be back on the power grid and online.
Professor, you bet the McKinney will be framed and hung in a place of honor! Like, maybe stapled to my forehead. It gave me a pulpgasm.
Uziel, thank you so much for the kind words! I really want to commission you folks--maybe I will have to see about having you do one of PinUp
Turbo Ski, that's great you had your power on so quickly. I'm glad you came through okay, I was wondering how all the CoHers came through the storm. Glad to hear you are well. Good luck with the schoolwork! (And get some playtime in too.) -
What's that? It must be the sound of radial engines roaring overhead!
Bombs Away! by Garv101
The awesome Garv (a CoH player himself) has created real life airplane nose art, and he recently decided to do this piece just because he's totally generous and cool. And because it's a darn shame the modern armed forces won't allow sexy nose art dames to be on their aircraft anymore. I think that's a real loss.
Thank you, Garv, you are swell! Keep 'em flyin'! -
After two weeks without power (and running water) due to Hurricane Ike, I must say that it's a real treat to log in again and find art waiting for me.
Here is the one I have been waiting for, my Holy Grail of Masked Shrike art:
The Shrike STRIKES! by Brandon McKinney
I was also fortunate enough to get another couple of cool pieces while I was languishing in the dark:
PinUp Girl by Mainasha
The Masked Shrike by Doc Shaner
All of these were as welcome as lights and a hot shower. And I hope everyone who was affected by mean ol' Ike is recovering well, too. -
Sorry, I meant to type 5th Column. (But I never played with them around, alas.)
-
Very clever idea, and even if I'm not familiar enough with the forum regulars to guess all the items, they were fun to look at!

That is just frakkin' cool. A real treasure! I have always thought Imitation was a neat character, and this is just awesome. Brandon is so talented! I really dig the "Shhh" panel. Also, I always enjoy seeing Council be smacked around.
Congratulations on a truly sterling piece of work. -
Wow, spectacular, as always. I really like the angle of the Synchrotron piece, and the duo looks sharp!
*stares at stable of characters* OK, you mugs, which of you would work best in this sort of style? Hmmm... -
This is really a beauty. Congratulations on a fantastic piece of art! 5 days...holy frijoles!

Just gorgeous...love the color, and the poses are powerful. I will be hoping to see more in the future!
