It also had a nice callback to the original X-Men books with the whole "Children of the Atom" thing Shaw went on about. This was later dropped in the comics for a more genetic-centered origin of mutants.

I loved that they weren't afraid of making Magneto look like Magneto.

Quote:If there is such a thing as Arcane Defense, I hope they have an Arcane Melee as well.Actually it was one of the UStream chats but you are exactly right. The Dev team said that any time a powerset or FX would require Ultra Mode just to look right would be a idea-killer. They just won't consider it (rightly so).
Personally, I'm hoping for something along these lines-
1) Radiation Melee/Armor (lots of "splash damage" and maybe -Regen as a secondary effect?)
2) Multiplicity (with the introduction of the 'reflections' tech in the new Posi TF, how cool would it be to have a MM set where you summon versions of yourself?)
3) Insect Command (could be a control/assault set with 'blasts' looking like streams of flying bugs, immobs/holds being bugs bursting up from the ground, DoTs, etc)
4) Plant Armor (LOTS of regen and PBAoE sleeps/slows etc)
5) Arcane Defense (a mix of Defense and active ways to disrupt attacks like a Placate without the Crit function, maybe even AoE abilities like a Bubble or a Flash Stun?)
I wouldn't mind seeing a Force Field Defense for Tanker and Brutes, but instead of just a bubble, it would be a more closer aura like the Clarion incarnate buff. -
Okay, have a suit that can pour out a ton of red sun radiation.

Don't forget Hero 1. I like the idea of cool armor that I don't have to drop 10 bucks to get, but the Ascension armor, while awesome, is a bit too armored sorcerer for me. I'll use it for some, but not many of my costumes. I hope the eventually add a unique helmet for Incarnates, because the most famous of the main incarnates have a cool helmet, like Statesman, Lord Recluse, and Hero 1.

Imperiex Probe Armor that Steel wore or (for Marvel side) the Destroyer armor (which is less armor and more of a mind piloted robot).

Has anyone tried to make Breakneck's costume in the game before?

Bout that time again. This time lets share our super speeders. Also share what powersets were used (since there is obligatory super speed associated attacks). Since I can't work my print screen button, I can tell you he is heavily based on the Flash (more closer to Zoom actually). I decided to mix up the powers by making him an Elec/Fire Brute. The electric melee is a bit of a no-brainer for a speedster, but the fire is supposed to be a friction shield.

I think we can do away with shards for rewards. Seeing how they are only tied to the alpha slot (only loosely now, since threads can be used). Other than that, I like it.

Just want to chime in here and say lol, internet fight.

I think Charlie Sheen jokes died out when he was booed off stage during his stupid winning tour.

How about one where Rome never fell? Maybe one where the Mongolians managed to take over Europe.

Someone needs to make a steampunk Batman with the new wings.

Quote:The game didn't bomb because Koreans like being punished, it bombed because there was no end content. In most standard MMOs, end game content is what players work to, but CoH end content was until last year was "make a new character".[ QUOTE ]
Actauly in this link it sayes that the release in korea was cancled, and I was thinking for the anime/manga expansion idea to having costume parts based on anime series (e.g. series from shonen jump)

[/ QUOTE ]
He was talking about when City of Hero was first released. That's when they added in more anime-styled costume options. Several anime-like faces, the various robes, and even touted a vet reward costume piece as "Anime Armor" (even though it's called Tech Sleek in-game).
After City of Hero was released it bombed. Korean gamers found CoH to be far too easy and not fitting to their usual "ZOMG! The game doesn't [censored] me for dying once! IT's too easy!!" mindset.
Also the Superhero genre isn't as popular there as it is here, which is also what helped lead to its failure.
But when City of Hero came out they did add in anime-inspired things, and since it's downfall we've inherited their good and bad parts. The Korean NPC have since been added to the game, but so has their gold farmers. -
Heinlein wrote the book during the Korean War, so you can expect a strong "serve your government" and "destroy the hivemind(commies)" vibe.

For the build I think I may drop Combat Jumping for Hasten.

Except most domestic sitcoms have the husband as an idiot and the wife as the smart one and in control. In the Flintstones, Fred was always the man of the house (without the threat of battery like in the Honeymooners).
-
Let's be honest, even if he tries to be faithful, it's going to suck. You can't take a classic show from a point in time (IE rip off the Honeymooners) and try to modernize it. A prime example is that horrible new Looney Tunes Show on CN right now (not the timeless reruns).

It's a lot better than mine. I picked up leadership and other end hogs. Did you pick Spiritual for alpha or was that added in mids?

I need help making a more heroic soviet outfit. I have a bunch of evil soldier with a black, red and gray pallet.

Quote:Yeah, for Molotov Commissar. I used champion belt for the waist and wristbands for his sweat bands (may change it). When I get my aura, I'm going to try to make Mech ZangiefOne thing I like to do with many of my costumes is by creative mixing of parts, patterns and colors I make parts that actually don't/shouldn't exist in the game exist.
There actually is no good chest hair option in the game (as you mentioned the Y doesn't cut it and looks silly on the back)... however using the "Lion" chest emblem and making both colors the exact same shade of brown will give the illusion of a hairy chest with nothing on the back.
You have a Zangief costume too?
