    Coming Storm?

The Battalion was supposed to be a villain group that needed new invention related stuff to fight. Originally, they, the Coming Storm, and the Well were all untied. While the Battalion has mostly been forgotten about (they were announced back when Jack was lead developer) the Coming Storm has been retcon into including the Well and the Incarnates.
  2. If Kevin Costner can be Pa Kent, then he can be Jor-El.
  3. This is a really good list. I was expecting to read it and start complaining, but I can't really dispute it. Also, for those of you that are iffy about Superman II being on there, you should watch the Richard Donner cut of the film.
  4. Why is there no bat on his breastplate?
  5. Oh, I got it screwed up. Sorry.
  6. So it appears the Mummy really likes playing fallen heroes (Black Adam and Sinestro).
  7. Things have been changed. Like a pre-blue Dr. McCoy talking to a Dr. Shaw on the tv in X2.
  8. Another thread about normal conventions in sci-fi and superhero media being taken from this game.

Or perhaps that he was just a boy whose anger was crushing metal in his vicinity and flailing tables and tools. He's just a kid with no control over his abilities. If he did have control, he would have moved the damned coin.

    KM/? pvp build

Been wanting to make both a KM character and a pvp stalker, but I have no idea what to have for a secondary. My friend is unsure of either regen or ninjitsu, but I'm not sure. ANy ideas of what a good build might be?
  11. I wouldn't mind a Mu archetype as long as it did more magic stuff than shoot red lightning.

Also glad I stopped reading long before the writing became this lame.
Wolverine has had many iteration that weren't fully explained in the comics themselves. Originally, in the Hulk issue he appeared in, his claws were apart of his gloves.
  13. Just dinged 24 with my soldier and want to make him a crab. Problem is, I don't know where to begin. Does anyone have a good leveling build, or at least a level 24 starter build I could use?

The X-Men movies never quite felt the same. It wasn't as noticeable in the first two since you could kinda see it as an extreme condensing of X-history. By X3 it was just a mess and trying to tie the new movie into that continuity killed my interest from the get-go.

Also, it was a prequel. And I'm rarely interested in prequels. That's just a personal thing.

And again, I'm not hating on First Class. From the sound of it the film turned out pretty good and I'm glad people enjoyed it. I just kinda wanted the X-movie-verse to be back under Marvel's control. One, cause their movies feel more faithful to the feel of the comics, and two, cause I wanna see the X-Men show up in Marvel's burdgeoning movie universe. Same with Spiderman.
The problem is that X-Men was the first big Marvel flagship comic made into a movie. To get people in theaters, they had to alter it so people could accept it more (remember, this happened before the superhero movie craze that we're in now).
  15. Thread for predicting possible groups or ideas that would make good EATs. I'm excluding the ones who were previously mentioned, such as the Coralax and the Blood of the Black Stream. My choices are the Order of the Four Winds or War Earth weapons.

The Four Winds are tied heavily to the lore of both CoH and CoV and it was stated back in the old Canon Fodder thread that they are looking for wielders of all the winds (the Four is just talking about the cardinal winds). It would be a mix of close range martial arts with some wind gusts doing wither heat or cold damage and maybe even some vortex holds. This would also be the first EAT that is tied with a magic origin.

The other idea was having one based around a discovered War Earth weapon (again, mentioned that they aren't sure how many weapons are on this earth). Perhaps the weapon itself will be a pole weapon many people have been wanting? Besides the melee powers, I'm not sure what else the weapons do because they are so ill defined in the current game.

So what ideas do the rest of you have.

    New Zone

Time travel doesn't sound bad. I wouldn't mind fighting Arachnos back when The Weaver was in charge and Lord Recluse was still in the ranks.

    S.
I heard somewhere that they were ignoring at least the Wolverine film. And Jackman appearing doesn't mean they are following all the movies.
  18. What I don't get is why is there are these storylines going on right now like Batman Inc., Flash Point, and the Green Lantern search for the spectrum avatars if it will all be null come fall.
  19. The first thing I ever saw him in was the Children of Dune miniseries where he played Leto II and even then I thought he was good.

It was truly amazing. I was very impressed. With the acting, with the nods, with the cameos - Everything!

Kevin Bacon was delicious as The Big Bad! All three characters were great - And so smartly dressed!

Also: Sebastian Shaw's powers: Absorbing Kinetic Energy and releasing it...Kinetic Melee! I bet the Devs are happy!
You mean they were happy that the character they took the power set from was in a movie? Shaw always had that power in the comics.
  21. How about a city like Recluse's Victory (IE one that changes) based on the missions the heroes and villains do? No pvp involved, just dueling pve for some reward.
  22. Xavier is still young and not much of a teacher. If he was as wise now as he is older he would have avoid all the problems that pop up in this movie. Also, X-Men and Spider-Man aren't technically a part of the Marvel Movie license. They are just Marvel comics made into movies by another company, unlike Iron Man, Thor, and soon to be Captain America and the Avengers.
  23. Saw it a while ago. I like it more the the second and third ones, but it still had its problems. It seems like they fell back on the whole "let Jack take the back seat and have the focus be on Will and Elizabeth", but since they weren't in it, it felt like there were long bits where there was no main focus and everyone was a side character.

I felt the missionary/mermaid subplot was a tacked on love story and the only purpose was to move the main plot along. They could have found a faster way to get it moving without having these forgettable characters take up screen time.
