He had a vague idea of what they were.

He'd teamed with enough blasters to get the gist of it.

I've not met Arcanaville, but TheNet is the wrong gender to be Arcanaville.

Speaking of which, you ended with a comma rather than a period.
The comma was the lead in to his signature.

Just as you end a line before your actual signature on a piece of paper with a comma.
  4. Matt, you've been great to us over the years.

I've only had one problem with something you did, and I know it really wasn't intended the way many people took it. But that's all in the past.

Thanks for all you did for the game, for the players, and for the community over the years.

    It's been a fun ride.

Wishing you the best in the future.
  5. I have several Blasters at 50.
I have two Scrappers at 50.
I have one Controller at 50.
I finally got my day one Defender to 50.
I'd really like to get my Tank to 50 so that I can round out the original 5 AT's.

Yeah, I've even teamed for a few things since the announcement.

I just get so disheartened as I start playing that I can't last very long.

They aren't going to do that.

The moderation since the announcement has been a really heavy load for them.

Opening up all of the forums would just increase that load and Zwillinger, Hit Streak and Freitag are busy enough as it is right now (on top of having to look for new jobs).

They did open up the PM system for all posters. That was probably the most they could do without adding more work for themselves.

    City of Heroes!
...and I'm guessing there will be other groups. There is a forum on Steam and keeping in touch helps. Maybe one of the CoH servers will get misplaced ^_^ [I would SO help with that.]
F*** Steam. I wouldn't put that steaming pile of crap on any computer I own.
  8. Lots of Justice people showing up there.

    Not Goodbye

Oh, don't worry. You can guess all you want, or even make bad jokes like that one.

I know who he is, but it's not my place to say.

So Alpha Wolf, are you going to do a reveal as well?

*waves twice and slips back into the shadows*
  11. Andy, Jessie and Kevin.

I'm not going to go on some wild rampage, but I've had enough with walking such a tightrope as I have since Eric was there.

I may slip on a few things but nothing that will be too severe.

If you must, you must, but it won't change how much I respect you three guys.

    Not Goodbye

I want to thank you again for coming to the Friday Night Justice dinner at the first Pummit. It kept our tradition of having a Redname at the meal alive.

Even better than that was that we all got to meet and visit with a really nice guy that loved the game as much as we did.

Wishing you the best in the future.
  13. Nice to hear from you Gilgamesh. It was a pleasure to meet you at one of the Austin NCSoft Meet & Greets. That was also where I met CuppaJo, Cricket and Arctic Sun.

It was also where I first heard about Tabula Rasa (you told me that was the project you were working on then).

The highlight of my night was when one of the TV news women wanted to get me over to a corner to talk to me. She had mistaken me for Robert Garriot as were we dressed similarly. I just thought she had taken a shine to me and that I was going to get lucky.

    PWNZ, lolwut

There are two RickRolls that surpass the original for me.

One was Leandro's epic RickRoll of Lord Recluse.

The other was Ex Libris et al RickRolling us at Karaoke during the first HeroCon.

I barely remember blurred pieces of the second one, but I've seen pictures so I know I was there for it.
  15. Keetsie, it was a real pleasure to meet you and get to talk to you. I'll agree with the sentiment someone else posted that Leo is a lucky man. Both of you were so easy to talk to and added so much to the game.

    I'll miss you both.

Whatever your next venture may be I hope that it fits the bill.

  16. I've already said it in a Facebook post and another post here on the forums but when the game ends I'll be hanging up my gaming hat for good.

Anything less than what I've experienced here with both the game, the Devs, the OCR team, the rest of the community and especially my Justice Server family would be too painful. Rather than take that chance, I'll just quit while I'm ahead.

Some of us old dogs just can't learn any more new tricks.

Dan, getting to meet you, MissInformed, Neutra, Moggie and Glowplug from Virtue, infallible (from Virtue but adopted into the Justice family), Vestansan, Miri and others at the NCSoft events in Austin were what started me in trying to get a bit more social in real life.
  17. City of Heroes Credits:

    City of Villains Credits:

City of Heroes: Going Rogue Credits:

I haven't been able to find Credits for City of Heroes: Freedom or a current Paragon Studios employee listing.

EDIT: I removed my earlier post because it looked like a steaming pile of dog ****. I couldn't get the formatting to work right so I just remade the post with links.

Edit: I remember when Doug Shuler was popular a few years back with his character illustrations.

I'd love to be able to commision Doug to do a piece with a few of my characters or even just TJ.

Alas, I can come closer to affording to hire Doug than I can to hire David.

Seeing my controller Eyes of Texas as depicted by DN would be ... quite special. Having seen his work on the ladies of CoH in the comic, I know it would be amazing.
  19. To Melissa and the rest of the staff (past and present) of Paragon Studios and Cryptic Studios when they were still part of the game, thank you for the past 8+ years.

Words alone cannot express my feelings towards you all.

Nothing will ever be able to give me what CoH did, so when the servers shut down I'll be hanging up my gaming hat.

Thanks for everything, and may God richly bless you all.

And I wonder how many Mai Thai's I'd had before that pic...
    I don't think you'd had that many.

Now, we won't discuss how many you might have had the Saturday night at the Spring Pummit ...
  21. The servers are in Texas. Paragon Studios was in California.
  22. Texas Justice

    Convenient

I'm hoping that I don't have a home football game that week.

I've been working quite a few of the athletic events for my school district for the extra cash.

I'm already committed to being the ******* that won't let people into the Reserved Seats section until they show their Reserved tickets. I don't care how long they've had those same seats if I don't see a ticket they can go around.
  23. As I told you the other day on Justice, tell Jo I said Howdy.

Hey, it's probably the last time I'll ever get to post that in response to one of your posts.
