Somewhere around 1600 Paragon Points per month sounds about right to me.
No permanent license. -
Quote:Sounds as if your IP address changes regularly.....
Every, EVERY ******* ****-headed time I try to get into my account, it asks me to do the whole damn 'Verify Account' schtick.
The only time I have to go through the Verify Account stuff is if I'm at a completely different location since my public IP address at home doesn't change and my the public IP address at work doesn't change. -

From the Announcements post (I'm not surprised there is no Discussion post to go with this):
Quote:This is an outrage.
The PlayNC website will be offline for an extended maintenance tomorrow, 4/4/2012. Purchasing Paragon Points, the PlayNC Store and all billing related services will be unavailable starting at 5:00 AM PDT/7:00 AM CDT/2:00 PM BST/15:00 CEST until 12:00 PM PDT/2:00 PM CDT/8:00 PM BST/21:00 CEST. We apologize for the inconvenience and will work to have all services back online as soon as possible.
A slap in the face.
How am I supposed to buy Paragon Points when the site is down?
Billing services too?
What if my account expires?
Will I lose out on the Loyalty Program?
This is so unfair to those that are living in areas that this comes in their prime time.
Okay. Someone had to be the maroon that posted something like that. At least this time it was someone making a joke. -
Last time I looked (a week or so ago) the Halloween event was still running.

Quote:Sorry but the devs are too busy making ligers for us to buy at inflated prices.Quote:
Because the devs that work on bug fixes are clearly the same as those that work on concept art, graphics, and coding powers. Oh wait, no they're not.
Folks, it's been 8 years, maybe we can stop trotting out this hilariously false equivalency now?

Quote:One of you two owes me for a new keyboard, monitor and desk calendar that I just spit Iced Tea on.
I don't really think it's Bill that owes me. How could he not respond when fed a straight line like that. -
Quote:More than once.Didn't they get burned by that sort of thing at least once already?
(Or even release order... remember the SSOCS that... er... never showed up that was supposed to take some sting from ED? Instead, we waited for Inventions.)
They released the date for ... Issue 19? ... release at the 2010 Bay Area M&G and had to push it back due to problems that cropped up. There was much wailing and gnashing of teeth on the forums, even though they qualified it when it was announced with an "unless something unforeseen occurs" type statement.
And yeah, SSOCS. *cries a little* -
If you don't mind a bit of a wait for me to arrive Friday, sure, you can ride with me.
I'm arriving 10:45 AM on Friday and don't fly out until late Sunday (after you), so I can handle that as well.
Fair warning however, my first destination once I get my rental car will be to Schaub's Meat Fish & Poultry for a Fred's Steak Sandwich. I may have desert at the little shop we spotted in October across from Fred's.
I figure with the time of year and the expected weather that the visual treats perambulating around the Stanford Shopping Center should keep my attention quite well. (For those that don't speak D.O.M. that means I expect plenty of eye-candy walking around to keep my neck turning continuously.) -
Quote:Well I could see that if Titan Weapons and Staff Melee were released at the same time.
But Beast Mastery and Staff Melee are two entirely different playstyles.
Yeah. Because there aren't any players that enjoy both melee sets and the MM playstyle.
Pretty much my thoughts as well. -
That's okay, maybe they'll spot it faster with at least two threads about it.

Quote:You might be surprised.Oooooh...
Nice
See Liberty is so cool we don't have devs playing on our servers! (or do we?!?! bum bum bum...)
Quote:
I'd like to just talk to devs as people and not "what's in i25?!"
Don't get me wrong I'd still ask that for fun
And then I waited for the next HeroCon or M&G or Pummit and then asked the questions that had built up. -
Quote:I'm tired of Montague and Percy and their stupid faces. I would pay money to have access to it on all my toons.
Especially since you have to solo it now if you want credit for it. It's been done with capes and auras to avoid those stupid missions, so let's do it for midnighters too. Pleaaaaaase.Quote:That arc is kind of annoying... They changed it so you had to solo it? WHHHHYYYYYYYYY?
You can do it on a team.
People have done it since it was changed without having to solo it.
You can run the arc with each member getting the same missions and completing them then run the final mission (talking to the Latin Student) once for each member of the team.
You just have to do the entire arc in order to get credit for it, not just the last mission of the arc.
Then again, perhaps this is what Zwankeedoodledandy was referring to when he said tomorrow's item is his favorite Paragon Market offering.
Maybe they are going to sell an optional Cimerora unlock for those that don't want to run the missions, similar to the unlocks they sell for capes and auras. -
When they initially stated their plans for Freedom, non-VIP accounts would have read only access to all open sections of the forums. Several of the forum members asked that it not be so restrictive and asked that they at least open up sections such as Gameplay/Technical Issue & Bugs and Player Questions so that they could get help from other players.
Paragon Studios and NCSoft saw how that would be beneficial so they worked out a system to allow limited posting access to non-VIP accounts. They tested it in Gameplay/Technical Issues Bugs then rolled it out to the current ALL ACCESS sections.
Part of the problem is that the forum software recognizes only two types of accounts. VIP and non-VIP. Just as on the Account pages it either shows the account as being VIP or Free. Since the forum login is tied to the game account login, there isn't really a way to make more types of accounts without having to rewrite much of the Account parts of the website. Then the web team would possibly have to change how the login scripts tie to the account servers to allow multiple levels of access.
Quite a bit of work for little benefit.
We don't want the web team monkeying with trying to hack something into the system to track vet status, they do enough damage as it is with their custom script to tie the forum login to the game account login.
It's highly doubtful given the web teams limitations as well as the limitations of vBulletin to have multiple levels of access such as what you are asking for, whether it be a purchase or a Paragon Reward.
In a way, they do sell full forum access. It's called being a VIP. -
I followed Black Pebble's directions and this is what I see:
It's there.
You can even find it by doing a search for Imperial and going to the last page. I should have tried Dynasty as the search term but didn't think about it until now. It would have kept out all of the Imperial Defense items and bundle. -
Quote:Yes, I do.
The only time I remember FB and the devs was, I think, when BABs left and people said, "hey he's on FB, friend 'em!" and either he (right before he left) or some other dev said, "Uh, yeah...love you guys but I'm not friending anyone beyond family (and real life friends)."
So....you have a friend in BABs?
Of course, I'd played with him before he was BAB and after he was BAB, but before I knew he was BAB. Confuses even me if I try to stop and figure that one out when I'm tired.
I actually put things together based on some in-game conversations from before he went to work on CoH and information I gained after he went to work on CoH.
Many long-time/old-time Justice players had teamed with him and he seemed to get a delight in dropping clues as to who he had teamed with. When he said he'd teamed with me and outside of a Hami Raid, it narrowed things down quite a bit for me since I had gotten to a point that I rarely teamed at that time except for Hami Raids.
Chris has several friends on Justice as well as other servers, especially those that have had a chance to visit with him at the HeroCon events. I have a few other FB friends that are current or former CoH Devs or OCR folks and one of the things I insist on is that I don't ask them anything about the game. Of course, aside from 2 real life friends and 2 Justice players the only people on my FB friends list are people I've actually met face to face and because of the game.
Being rather socially inept, I consider myself lucky that so many of these people consider me a friend. -
Quote:Facebook mostly. At least for me.Dang, I don't know how some of you follow people (Castle, BABs, etc...) and know where they go to and all that...
Too much stalking going on!

I didn't even know TV left CoH....where was the announcement of that?
I think where I saw it was in one of Arcanaville's posts, but again, I could be wrong.
Hopefully someone will correct me if my memory is failing me. Today hasn't been a good day and it isn't getting much better. -

We keep ours consistent throughout the district, and we even try to match up our schedules with the College in the nearest "big city".

I was keeping with the theme that Zwallnegesternigh seemed to be going with.

Quote:The school district I work in has off Friday of this week and Monday of next week.Alternativly, its Easter next sunday no?
So this week would be a holiday weeks for schools and stuff no?
We've already had our week for Spring Break.
Not all school districts take Spring Break at the same time. -
I'm planning on Sunday morning for certain.
If they decide to do an early registration on Friday night I may go Saturday morning as well.
As for Friday night, since I've heard nothing from Red Gren about a Friday night dinner, I may just decide to check out the local live music scene.
Is there any particular place you might be able to recommend for Friday night? I enjoy hearing guitars, mandolins, bass fiddles, etc. -

Quote:If I get curious enough I'll ask him about it then. I likely won't get curious enough as it isn't something I consider that important now.Neg. That reference was up on his Linkedin page several months before the unfortunate event when he left Paragon. It was a Paragon studios project.
I know Auto Assault (his previous game) was DX 9c so if it specifically said DX11 I'm unaware of what it was.
As for ClawsAndEffect confirming that he was working on Neverwinter, I knew the name of the game but didn't have it on the tip of my tongue to put it in my post.
