Especially since my interpretation was also based on my characters name being on your list and me not being at the event.

You can invite a VIP to your SG, set them at the lowest rank and give that rank permission to pay base rent. Don't give it any other permissions. They can pay the base rent for you and then leave the SG.

There are several friendly VIP's that have been doing this for Premium players at no charge.

It doesn't get you VIP status, but it does get power back to your base and have it available to use.

I guess I just read it as it was written and applied the rules of the English language to it.

The title says "If you missed tonights group shot ... " and the first line says "OR if If your name isn't in the photo below, I need your demofile!!"

So, I read those together as "If you missed tonights group shot OR if If your name isn't in the photo below, I need your demofile!!"

See, the word OR is used to connect words, phrases or clauses that represent alternatives. Such as "books or magazines" and "to be or not to be". It is also used to mean otherwise, such as "be here on time or we'll start without you".

The word AND is used to connect words, phrases or clauses that represent multiples. Such as "pen and paper" and "meat and potatoes". It is also used as an alternate for also or at the same time. Such as "to sleep and dream". It is also used to denote something is in addition to, such as "now and later".

When I saw the word OR connecting the title and the first sentence, I read them as being alternative cases. Had he used the word AND I'd have read it as being a joining of the two.

EDIT: Also, since I saw my name in the list and knew I wasn't at the group shot, it made more sense to me that TA was speaking of two alternatives instead of the same thing.

And this just illustrates how deplorable the education system is.

Especially since this post states that the list is from the photo shoot last night and you running around afterward.

Since my name is in the list and I wasn't at the group shot nor was I running around after that last night, I'm really not sure WHAT the list really is.

I guess it's a good thing your job doesn't require good communication skills.

You need to re-read what TA said.

He said IF you missed the group shot OR if your name isn't on the list in the photo.

The list in the photo is a screenshot of files that he already has of players.

I wasn't at the group shot but don't need to send him my file because he already has my info (I'm on the list).

Since you were at the group shot, you don't need to do anything.

The list is ONLY for those that weren't at the group shot to know whether or not he already has a file on them.

The photo would need to be done in The Hive since that is the only location Eyes of Texas wears that outfit.

After all, everyone knows that costumes cause lag, even Tic-Toc/BAB/Chris.

I don't find the comment that it's unplayable to be trashing the game.

I find it to be quite accurate in my case.

I've tried it, I found it to be quite unplayable after being used to the gameplay in CoH.

It's one saving grace is it's slightly more playable than DCUO.

It doesn't matter how supportive their community, Devs, players and mods have been or how supportive they've been about what's happened here or how many nice things they've had to say about CoH and its' players.

When the game in unplayable for me, I won't be playing it. Trying to "play" that game feels too much like "work".

Very little of CoH has felt like "work" in the 8½ years I've been playing it.

The Devs don't maintain the Servers. The Servers are located in Texas and there are NCSoft staff that handle server maintenance, reboots, etc.

During Beta we have had cases where there were up to 41 Atlas Park instances spawned. The number of characters in the name doesn't matter.

Otherwise, we would never be able to have more than one instance of Founders' Falls, Peregrine Island, Independence Port, etc.

Peregrine Island alone has more characters in the name than Atlas Park 10.

And doing so violates the Forum Rules. You get that also, right?
