Actually, it's highly likely that the people able to post the ADMIN messages in the game don't have posting privileges on the forums, at least not on an official account or one that would show up in the Dev Digest or Community Digest.

I'm pretty sure Zwontyoucomehomebillbailey, Freitag and Hit Streak aren't getting up that early just to post a notice.

I think the part about checking the forums is part of a macro they've had for several years and haven't bothered to change.

If the character has completed the TPN Campus Trial, yes.

Entirely possible since it is calling an Echo of Statesman and not Statesman.

All of the Signature Summon powers summon Echo versions.

Since Ghost Widow is dead and can have an Echo summoned, why not Statesman?

So ... I don't know why it would be in the market.

The Belladonna Vetrano arc is for Incarnates only, so it seems Smersh has run into a different bug if non-VIP's can get the popup, access the contact and accept the missions without VIP status.

    Hopefully Smersh filed a /bug report in-game.

EDIT: And it's not in the market, at least not according to the newly posted Featured Items post.

    Incarnate System
    • Once you’ve started your Incarnate journey, you can attempt the new Apex and Tin Mage II Task Forces which will reward Incarnate Components for those tough enough to handle the first taste of the Praetorian Alpha Strike.
    Task Forces (Incarnate-only)
    • We have added two Task Forces for characters who are level 50. These TF's should be tackled by characters who have slotted the Alpha slot with a power. Emperor Cole has perfected a debuff that affects characters who have no Alpha Abilities slotted. Characters without an Alpha Ability can still attempt the TF but it will be significantly more challenging.
      • Apex Task Force – see Apex in the Rikti War Zone to thwart an attempted invasion from Praetoria
      • Tin Mage Task Force – see Tin Mage Mark II in the Rikti War Zone to take the battle back into Praetoria
Gee. Looks like it is Incarnate Only content for those two.

Tin Mage is the WST beginning June 19. This week it is the 24-33 Respecs.

Don't ask the Wiki to update if an unlocked 50 can do it (unless they put in a note that there is a bug allowing unlocked 50's to run it), but definitely /bug it if an unlocked 50 can run it as that is counter to what is in the patch notes and what the Devs told us their plan for those two was.

I think nothing else would need to be adjusted except the lightning attack. It's either too big, repeats too often, or lasts too long. Yes, there are ways around it. But there's nothing simple about 24 random players in a PUG running around with their heads cut off every 10 seconds either to get a light or to avoid the lightning. If players didn't get rooted when attacking, it might be different.

As it stands, this has been a very unfun experience. It didn't feel epic, it feels like I don't understand the game mechanics. Rather than being simple, it feels exceedingly complex (or just obfuscated so that the absence of clarity results in confusion). There are at least 5 major mechanics going on: his tendency to fly and move around, his lightning strike, his eye beams, the lights of the well, and the favor of the well. Potentially, there's something about Olympians buffing him, dying when health is >50% or <50%, etc, but I haven't confirmed it.

I do hope this was just released prematurely and it's being evaluated.

I do understand that first week trials can be hard and people get better. Unlike almost every trial so far, though, I don't see what we're supposed to understand.

With BAF it was understanding that LT prisoners don't get mezzed and turrets are bad so stay away from them (or disable them).

With LAM it was a fix that made him easier to defeat combined with players learning how to use the temp powers.

With KEY it was not to attack AM during reactors, how to use temps, how terminals stopped his regen, how dying during last fight really boosted his health.

etc. There were mechanics added in almost every trial that may not have been intuitive, but could be taught.

I suppose if the only lesson in this trial is keep running around and neglect dedicated damage because dying is worse than attacking once in a while, then maybe I can teach that to new players. But to expect entire leagues of PUGs to be able to avoid being killed as often as I'm seeing on my trial runs, then you've just set a very high bar for PUGs for a game mechanic that is very hard to teach. I'd rather them have to use 10 different temps in sequence within 20 seconds or something than have people survive for 15 minutes running around without dying despite massive unresisted dmg being sprayed all over the screen every 30 seconds.

Perhaps when mostly players are +6, this might be more enjoyable.
Since I know of at least one Magisterium run that not only finished the trial but also earned the Really Hard Way badge, I can't agree with your assessment. Note that most of the participants of that badge run had been on at least one successful regular run before attempting the badge run.

As you noted, however, during the first week the trials can be hard and people get better.

Give it time. Players will adapt and learn, just as they did in the previous iTrials.

See my conclusion from point 2). You knew you were about to start using softcore porn to sell your product to teenagers, and you decided to institute a policy enabling you to delete or modify the posts that call you out on it.
It's not a newly created clause. It was a clause in the previous version of the forum rules that The Ocho had posted on August 4, 2010.

How do I know that? I have a printout of that post at home and at work. I'm looking at it right now. I also have a printout of the new version of the rules. I wish I'd had enough foresight to do that with previous incarnations of the rules just so I could post them somewhere to show how little they've actually changed over the years. Then consistency of the enforcement of the rules is all that has changed very much in all that time. I doubt anything will change in that regard in the future.

The only new part of that is the written addition of "subject to moderator descretion" which is an out if they WANT to leave a discussion up. The "discussion of the aesthetics of the human form" was in the old rules with the additional part that they removed in this version "(particularly that of models, actors or actresses)". Several of us referred to that as the "Christina Hendricks" rule.

You are just cheesed off because they enforced the rule that had been there for almost 2 years.

It broke the old version of the rules and it breaks the new version of the rules. The new version just removes one specific aspect of the wording and implicitly states that they have discretion about whether to remove the posts or not.

Your incorrect conclusion has been proven wrong.

I got TJ (SO/HO build with a couple of Common IO's) from Alpha Unlocked and slotted with T1 Spiritual before I22 hit to switching over to Cardiac in Alpha and having all 5 slots unlocked and slotted with T3's. I've gotten at least a second T2 going on Alpha, Interface and Lore so far and am working towards getting the T3's in Interface and Lore.

I'm not that worried about the T4 since I know I'm going to have to burn Empys to do it and that will take quite a bit of repeating the arcs in DA to get my weekly 2 Empys. Unless I get stupidly lucky on a reward table roll. So far, it's been only Uncommon or Common with one Rare somehow dropping.

I've also started working my Controller through the Arcs but things have picked up at work so I haven't had much time to put into her yet.

Because it's not currently in the market, and premium accounts do not have access to it without purchase (like First Ward).
First off, I've seen reports of Premium accounts being able to access Missions and Arcs there even though it is supposed to be Free-for-VIP/Purchase-for-Free-and-Premium.

Second, Smersh is on a Premium account and is running an arc there. White name on the forums means not a VIP.

  18. The Game Account Details page only shows Paid Time. It doesn't count free months from purchasing box versions of the game, free time from the 12+2 or 6+1 programs they've run in the past, free time from the old Refer a Friend program or free time from the old Bring a Friend Back program.

Annual badges are not being awarded since Freedom launched and it's unclear as to whether or not they ever will be again.

The character slot awarded for each year of subscription time appears to still be awarded.

As an example, my account has been active with only a lapse of 1 day due to an incorrect fraud alert on the charge since the game launched. My Game Account Details page shows my Paid Time as 7 years 0 months.

If you want to contact someone to verify the time, you will need to open a support ticket using /petition in-game (since you are a VIP you can do this), using the Ask A Question tab at the https://support.cityofheroes.com site, using the Live Help tab on that same site (only available from Noon to 5 PM Central time Monday through Thursday and Noon to 3:30 PM Central time Friday), or by sending an email to support@coh.com

If they deny the /petition, I'd ask (politely) that it be escalated to a senior GM and send a PM to the members of the OCR team (Z, Freitag, HitStreak) and ask that they assist with getting it corrected.

You can get the exact spelling of their names from the Community Digest page.
  22. My suspicion would be that it is one of the pieces of the AVG system that is blocking access to the registry.

I don't run AVG anymore at home and don't have any systems here with it installed so can't check it myself.

An easy way to check would be to open the AVG interface and go into each item and disable it temporarily, try running CoH Helper to see if you can get the registry entries and then re-enable all of the AVG items afterward.

The only other way I know of to see the game settings would be to take screenshots of the following registry keys' entries:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cryptic\CoH

Be sure to blank out the entry for Account Name or just do the screenshot of all of the entries in the right-hand pane after that one by scrolling so that it has "just" gone off screen.

EDIT: It is also possible that the nProtect Game Guard Service is blocking access to the registry. You should be able to simply Stop that Service and check to see if you can access the registry with CoH Helper.
