Yes. It increments in amounts of .50 above the current bid. That way you don't have to be bidding every minute.
If you put in a bid of, for example only, $100 for an item and the current bid is $2.50 it will list your bid as $3.00 and it will keep bumping the amount up to keep yours as the top bid unless someone bids over $100. If I were to bid $10.00 on that item it would still show you as the top bidder with a bid of $10.50 currently. -
Quote:This sounds right. My guess is you don't get the contact if you don't know the secret yet.
Go to Ouro and get the badge and see what happens then.
It's been a while but someone came into the Technical section of the forums with the complaint that he hadn't gotten Ramiel as a contact after hitting 50. I think it was just before Issue 20 or right after. He got someone to drop an O-Portal and Ramiel also wouldn't offer any missions. The common consensus amongst the regulars there was that it was due to not having the badge.
It was confirmed by Support that he didn't meet all of the qualifications (Entrusted with the Secret badge wasn't owned). Once they got the badge they got an intro to Ramiel.
EDIT: A small bit of research on ParagonWiki shows this to be correct. The requirements to unlock Mender Ramiel as a contact are as follows:
Trained up to Level 50
Have the Entrusted with the Secret badge
Purchase of Going Rogue
Since Going Rogue is not included as part of the VIP package, that would mean you either haven't trained up to 50 (not just dinged, actually going to a trainer to Level Up) or don't have the badge. -
Quote:Melissa "War Witch" Bianco has been with the game since February 2002. so yes, she's been there all along. I think from some things that were said at various events over the years that she was there before Matt. Since I can't find anything listing his start date like I did Melissa's, I'll have to rely on inference from other things that were said over the years.Matt Miller is the key figure. I think he is the only one in the team (unless there are some non-public faces) that has been part of the team since launch until cancelation. He did not have his fingers on every bit of the game, but he has the closest thing to a "game vision" that you can get.
Going from Staff Game Designer to Senior Game Designer to Lead Designer to Producer gives a pretty good idea that she has a pretty good "game vision" as well.
EDIT: Well, I found his LinkedIn page lists from July 2003 at Cryptic, so that would mean Melissa was there a year and 5 months longer. -
Quote:Oddly enough, I'd been considering contacting Night Hornet to ask about if commissions were available and about pricing if they were.Ding! First with the right answers is Texas Justice! Congratz!
1. I am in Peregrine Island (many people were giving me island names instead of the zone)
2. Fortunata
I've loved his renders that I've seen on DA. -
Quote:Well, don't delete or edit these two posts because I'm sure someone will be spreading the rumor that they heard Disney tried to buy it but was turned down. We'll need the posts to be able to link to them to prove it was just someone trying to make a joke.I apologize folks, I was trying to add some levity and thought this would be an obvious enough joke on its own. I was wrong, or I failed to take into account the way folks would read it.
The joke was - Disney called NCSoft and asked if they could buy CoX, they were told no, so they decided to buy Lucasfilm instead. -
Quote:Save costume from any server. Make level 1 hero. Load costume. Apply and join in.
Easy peasy.
I avoid the server with that name for similar reasons. -
I knew it was at a Hazard Zone gate due to the towers. I also knew it had water access because of the type of gate.
My big mistake was that I thought I'd be able to see the road going to the bridge from that angle in IP so I was trying to place it INSIDE a Hazard Zone. That road must be further down in elevation than I thought.
Good going GreatRock. -
Quote:According to an interview with Robert Iger, Disney actually contacted NCSoft about purchasing City of Heroes. However, they were turned down, so they went with their second choice instead.
Source?
or
Link to Source?
I've heard enough idiotic rumors not to trust anyone's word without reputable and trustworthy sources to back it up. -
I'm more likely to suspect it's a Rangle Plotâ„¢.
Especially since my suspicions are for it having been from the Spring Pummit. -
Just to verify, I again set my default browser back to Firefox, loaded the game, logged in to Texas Justice and got the same message when opening the Paragon Market.
Wonder if it happens on Beta?
EDIT: Well, that's a bit odd. It's fine on Beta. Could it be due to how on Live it connects to the account server? -
Yes, but from the way things were said it was that their employment ends at close of business today.
Not sure what time the PS offices closed, but being in California I'd expect that to be somewhere in the next half hour to hour from now (5:00 PM or 5:30 PM Pacific).
Also, I'm wondering how I lost an ID card at one of the Pummits or at a HeroCon (I'd assume the Spring Pummit since otherwise they'd have given it to me during a later event). -
With Firefox set as my default browser:
Loaded the game, logged in to Texas Justice. Got the same message when opening the Paragon Market.
Exited to desktop.
Changed default browser to Internet Explorer:
Loaded the game, logged in to Texas Justice. Paragon Market opened normally.
I have no other browsers installed to test with.
-------------
I know that Firefox asked permission to apply an update today when I launched it after work.
I wonder if something in that update isn't compatible with the Paragon Market? -
Testing now.
Will update with results. -
I think it's the end of the time they are being paid through due to the WARN act or Cal-WARN. I think the number I've heard is 60 days.

Quote:I'm not sure what his policy is on commissions (or anything else of late) but you might want to see if you can contact David Nakayama (aka Noble Savage). His DA page is at http://pixel-saurus.deviantart.com/Yeah that was my idea also, specialy when the 'end is near', i have the artist-book you could buy a while ago, i believe all names are in that. I'll give that another try
As you can tell by my avatar, I'm a big fan of David's work. Of course, I was a fan before I got the avatar, but I use that image almost everywhere. -

Quote:Not according to the LinkedIn profile.CuppaJo had been moved to Tabula Rasa community, but well... then to Aion, but I don't know if she's still there or not.
Left NCSoft in August 2008 after having been Associate Producer on Dungeon Runners.
Was a Producer at 2K Games from September 2008 to October 2009.
Was Director of Quality Assurance and Producer at Red Fly Studio from February 2010 to September 2011.
Was Production Manager at Vigil Games for Darksiders 2 and Dark Millenium Online from September 2011 to May 2012.
Is currently Director of Community at ZeniMax Online Studios (since May 2012).
Nothing I've seen from Cuppa via Twitter or anywhere else, nor any searches online show any involvement with Aion.
That's what I've been able to find as well. After the stint on Dungeon Runners is when Cuppa left NCSoft. -
Take care houtex.
I understand your reasons fully. It's been difficult not speaking my mind on several things but so far I've been able to not click the Submit button on several posts I've typed up. -
BAB and Castle have already been covered, and we all know Jack is still at Cryptic.
pohsyb went to work for Apple when he left. He's still there according to his FB page.
Jay left to work at Glu Mobile and appears to still be there.
As far as I know, Geko is still at Cryptic. I heard poz may have left Cryptic but I haven't heard what he's doing now, he could just be on vacation.
Ex Libris is in Nashville working for Henderson Community Consulting the last notice I got.
Niviene is still with Zynga as far as I know. I haven't heard if anyone in the Bay Area was affected by their closures of studios.
No others are coming to mind at the moment. -
Castle wasn't fired. His leaving was of his own choosing.
Here is his comment from his goodbye thread.

Forbin_Project is correct on this.
If you are VIP on Live, you are VIP on Beta.
If you are not VIP on Live, you are not VIP on Beta.
They do not implement the character limits on Beta as far as available slots as they do on the Live servers.
The only thing they did was enable non-VIP's to be able to access Beta. It was normally accessible only by VIP's. -
Absolutely no problems here.
Double-click my shortcut to launch the Live game through the Launcher.
No patch.
Game launches normally and I log in and play.
Haven't tried Test or Beta shortcuts. -

So long Tim. It was nice getting to meet you.
I'm hopeful that Hit Streak can sticky this BS thread so that it doesn't get lost amongst the general chatter.
EDIT: Interesting side note (well, interesting to me at least). In Max's arc in DA I only did the mission to fight Black Scorpion of the three optional missions on Live during my original run through. Fighting Blue Steel was something Texas Justice would never have done on principal and it just meant I'd have to be ready for the ambushes. Reichsman and Requiem were a bit too much for a non-IO'd Texas Justice to face alone and Gyrfalcon didn't seem to be much help in any event when it was in Beta. I enjoyed the opportunity to beat down Black Scorpion, even if it did mean I was freeing Slinger, and BS always went down so easy in our fights. One of my most enjoyable fights before starting to build on my Incarnate abilities as at the time I only had the Tier 1 Alpha slotted and had only a handful of common IO's.
