Advantages: endurance is a problem without Cardiac Alpha, will replace it with Musculature, very nice
Disadvantages: I'll lose my perfect stealth (with a stealth IO in Sprint), as well as a slot for LotG +7.5% recharge. Overall I'd rather lose Time-Bomb rather than CD, but I'll manage

Advantages: steady attack chain from range, nice!!
    Disadvantages: none

    - Overall conclusion = /hugs dev team, /hugs Arcana for clarifying the 22% toHit issue and its obvious effects on Targetting Drone

    --------

    Things still missing:

    - Crashing nukes revamp - apparently to solve later
    - Extending the range of webnade from 50ft to 80ft (or at least match it with its Traps version at 70ft) - the new blaster secondaries (Mental and Dark) have their tier 1 at 80ft, webnade deserves this too
    - If we're keeping it, I'd like to see Time-Bomb's absurd 27 sec activation time fixed
You aren't losing Cloaking Device, it's being renamed and the +regen/+recovery part added.

The same with the powers being changed in the other secondaries. They aren't losing what they currently do, they are gaining additional buffs to go along with what they already do. Many are a +regen/+recovery buff, one is a HoT, one gets an Absorb mechanic, etc.

As far as Targeting Drone it will give the buff ONLY if it's combined with other +ToHit powers or is slotted to get it past ED numbers. I think someone said 4 SO's would get you to +22.06 which is just over the amount needed to activate the instant fire.

If the iStuff gets vastly more playable time added then it is the majority of the focus.
I haven't run Laura Lockhart's mission, but I've run some of the other low-to-mid level stuff often. Twinshot's arc, Habashy's arc of course, First Ward, getting ready to start on Night Ward.

I've not run a single Trial.

I ran the DA arcs running 1 arc/day each day. Once that arc was done, I swapped to a lower level character and worked on leveling them up.

During that time I did see people doing repeat runs on some of the iTrials, but I also saw other low-to-mid level content being run repeatedly by people including DiB, DfB, First Ward, Moonfire when it's the WST, others running the Roy Cooling arc, others running the Laura Lockhart arc, other running the SSA's, in other words plenty of people running other things than just iTrials.

Most of the people I've seen will run the trials a few times in a row then switch to other characters to run other content for a while to keep from getting burned out on the trials too quickly. In the past week I've been to at least three Hamidon raids, two Ship Raids as well as running SSA 1.7 and SSA 2.1 mixed in. I might have run two DA arcs on TJ to finish out my weekly run for Empyreans and I think I ran three arcs on Eyes on different nights.

There's been a lot of content added besides just Incarnates since the Incarnate system was introduced and I see it being run fairly often and at least as often as I see calls for Incarnate trials.
  3. Yes.
    You keep it.
Only while you are VIP. It will not let the iTrial start (or a DA mission) with a non-VIP on the team.
  4. The chat and video stream on the computer here at my office were both extremely smooth. A vast improvement over uStream.

The video stream on my iPad (3rd Generation) was lagged about 10 seconds or so behind the video stream on the computer and after about 30 seconds or so would die and go to a garbled green screen.

The chat did work very nicely on the iPad this week.
  5. There has been plenty of lower to mid level content added that has nothing to do with Incarnates.

1 or 2 iTrials per issue along with all of the other content isn't a majority of the focus.
  6. To add to what Memphis_Bill and Dechs Kaison have already stated:

    It's all one game now.

It is still, at it's core, a subscription based game.

They have added a Hybrid F2P model to it as well. You can play most of the content from 1-50 for free, but there are parts of the game that won't be available to you unless you purchase that system, earn enough Paragon Reward Tokens or subscribe. For example, use of the in-game Auction House, the Alignment system, starting a character in Praetoria, the First Ward mission content, the Signature Story Arcs, Mastermind AT, Controller AT and more. Non-subscribers do not get in-game support but they do have support available through the Support website and email.

Some systems are only available through subscription such as the Incarnate System, the ability to create Super Groups and bases, pay base rent and get in-game support.

Some powersets are free to all, some are free to subscribers/purchasable by non-subscribers and some are purchasable by all players. The same thing goes for costumes and costume sets.

A good resource for the game is ParagonWiki and the rest of the Titan Network. Some good pages to help understand the City of Heroes: Freedom F2P system are the Paragon Rewards page, the Paragon Market page and the City of Heroes: Freedom page.

You may also want to look at the official website's City of Heroes: Freedom Overview page and the pages it links to.

If you have any questions, the community here is good about answering them.

They tried to add a method to get us 3 more slots.

    Things broke horribly bad.

They are still looking for a way to add more slots, but they'll have to be careful with how they do it.

I'm not looking for it to be a quick solution.
  8. Actually it wouldn't work with the game engine as it currently is.

The game engine as it is currently does not handle stretching, growing or shrinking. The closest that it comes to growing or shrinking is using the Super Tailor to change the height and body sliders on different costume slots.

After I got home I tested on my Premium Account. That account has only earned 5 Reward Tokens and has filled Tier 3 with nothing in Tier 4.

Even though he had earned Reward Merits before the change to Freedom, clicking on the Merit Vendor does not bring up any dialog box at all.

So apparently until a Premium account fills Tier 4 (8 Reward Tokens earned) they cannot even spend any Reward Merits they have earned previously.

We still dont know who or what it is..other than it had a knife and spikey bits. And considering the thing was basically the ONLY reason that most leagues can even kill Tyrant..a little more depth would have been good.
There is another previous reference to it, although not specifically by name. In the Midnight Club one of the books you click on (lying on a table) brings up the following:

    Quote:

Why I Left and Why You Must Stay
    -by the Dream Doctor

Hopefully, when you read this, my name is not forgotten. I don't know why that's so important to me. I guess after all I've seen, a part of me is still human. I wonder if the same can be said for my counterpart, Rularuu.
As I used the blade, I shaved off a piece of myself. I am not the same man anymore. I still work among you - looking for answers. But I've also begun searching in the dreamspace for a way to protect you, and the rest of the world, from a fate that grows closer with each passing day. Something is coming and I must find out what it is before it's too late.
I have never been afraid to ask for help. If you remember anything about me, please remember that. But this...this is something I must do on my own. I'm going to try and save the world... again. But by all means, don't let that stop you from trying to save it first.
    -The Dream Doctor

That also is one of the clicks needed for the Midnight Archivist badge.

    Jocas = Joking??

When clicking items in the Midnighter's club to earn the Midnighter Archivist badge you click on a plaque on a bookshelf titled "Rularuu Library". One of the books it lists is "Crafting the Dagger of Jocas" by Pontice Doub.

Not a newly added item to the lore.

Nope. It was Forbin_Project that made that suggestion to you.

I'm the one that started a thread in the Justice server forum section to see if there were any active RP SG's on Justice.

I also gave you the two busiest Justice server channel names in case you had access to Global Channels.
  13. Nonsense. Players have posted links to websites running a poll that included City of Heroes as well as other games, without being locked or removed.

Some of them have even been polls about the same three games as this one.

Well, the edit of the OP doesn't put it in the Community Digest, but the post I just quoted gets it there.

And the link from the Announcement post gets them here as well.

So ... we'll take what we can get.

Although, if you'd done the moving sooner it wouldn't have been as many posts.

    If not less.
Yeah. I trust that compatibility checker about as much as I do the Minimum System Requirements for this game.

I remember loading Windows XP on a system that barely met the Minimum Requirements for a Hardware class my previous employer sent me to.

Sure, we finally got it to finish loading. We let it sit through the initial boot for a two hours (including lunch). We let it finish logging in to the Desktop about a half hour later. We finally got it to bring up the Control Panel 20 minutes later.

Sure, it "ran" Windows XP, but I'd hate to have had to use that system to try to do anything.

    Possibly.

My memory could also be faulty.

And since I'm not at a computer where I can test it myself I won't make the claim that the Wiki is wrong yet.

And once I do get a chance to test it I'll edit the Wiki if I verify that it's wrong.

I keep forgetting Microsoft coded artificial memory limits into the different version of Windows 7 64-bit.

    </threadjack>
If they get downgraded to Bosses based on those settings then several of the missions must have them hardcoded as EB's. Since the missions don't follow the No Bosses setting for the Minotaur's and Cyclops, I don't see why it would on that one specific Keres in that mission.

    Ah, posted under wrong account.
  22. From the ParagonWiki link for Story Arc that I gave in my previous post:

    Quote:

There are, however, some contacts whose arcs count toward the "two main arcs" limitation. If there is a mini arc active for any of these contacts, it must be completed as if it is a main arc.
It then says "All of the Rikti War Zone contacts" and lists them.

So apparently if you have one or more of these mini arcs that isn't an actual Story Arc active it will count against the limit as well.
  23. They'll never hire you.

You apparently know what you are doing.
  24. I learn something new all the time.

    Thanks Zombie Man.
