Get rid of the Kiwee toolbar. It's a ... problematic ... program, and according to their website has not been tested with Vista.

I'm seeing many pages of posts from people on other forums with this program causing problems, speed issues, extremely high bandwidth usage and other problems. It's also apparently a bit of a challenge to uninstall.

You might try some of the solutions here that have worked for others. I used this link since it gives several solutions in one thread.

Upgrade Vista to SP2.

Newer video drivers should be available. Be sure to properly uninstall the old drivers before installing the new ones. I would recommend using DriverSweeper and following the instructions on that site to use it.

Newer audio drivers should be available.

p.s is the problem in general related to my graphics card cuz I seem to have alot of problems with this card (ATI) like I'll see triangles off the top of my head and walls will turn into to multi colored circuit board looking things.

Those have me curios as well, but I'll let the HJT experts comment on those.

The stuff with the Winsock LSP's has me curious as well.

Since you mention the other computer in the house, are you using a router? If so, try rebooting it.

Are your Network card drivers up to date? If not, see if newer drivers are available. I recently was working on a new computer one of my campus secretaries bought since her old one was a steaming pile starting to have hard drive issues. Her old computer has no problems staying online with the cable modem. My laptop has no trouble staying online with the cable modem. I tried putting in one of my spare routers and it seems to work much better on her new computer, but there are still occaisional drops that make no sense. So we updated her Network card drivers and it seems to have resolved the problems. Apparently the newer NIC had auto-negotiation issues with the modem that the other NIC's didn't have. The router inline helped buffer the negotiation issues.

It could also be that you may need a firmware upgrade on the router if you have one. The communications issues may be coming from the router and a firmware upgrade may resolve it.

That's what I'm wondering about, whether something in the STEAM Overlay or something else STEAM related is reacting negatively with something in your system and causing this.

You might try grabbing the Updater and downloading it to your desktop, then run it and let it install the game into a different directory.

Also, have you tried using the Verify Files button?

And actually, it WAS art related stuff he was posting about and in response to. I can see him taking an interest in a Don Quixote type character and even a Sancho Panza sidekick and making them look as good as possible.

You are going to need to update to (at least) Service Pack 2 most likely before we can get accurate information.

There are so many security holes on systems unpatched systems that I'm surprised people's computers still run.

I'd recommend installing all the way to Service Pack 3, but with a few caveats. Do a FULL Defrag before installing Service Pack 2. You can download it from here as the standalone full installer. After installing SP2, let it reboot, check to make sure things are working as they should. Once you know things are stable, do another FULL Defrag and then download and install Service Pack 3 which you can get here as the full installer. After the reboot, go to Windows Updates and install ANY updates listed as High Priority updates. I'd also recommend installing any listed as Software, Optional updates.

You may want to see if there are newer audio drivers as well. It's odd what quirks audio drivers can have on video issues.

Once you have that done, if you are still having problems then run CoH Helper again and post it's output as well as the log from running HijackThis.

Go to the NCSoft Games site and log in to your account. Select Game Accounts and then the account you need to look at. Their is a section labeled Veteran Rewards that lists the dates you become eligible for each reward or the date that a reward was awarded to your account. The 63 month badge is currently in grey for me since it is not awarded yet as it is due in the future.

If the date has passed for your 60 month badge to be awarded and you have not received it, put in a support ticket from that same site listing the date it "says" you were awarded the badge. If you get a response that seems they don't understand what you are talking about, ask that it be escalated to a higher level Customer Support person. At that point you may want to email either Avatea, EMpulse, Nivienne, or TheOcho and ask if they can assist with getting it looked at.

Hopefully, it is just matter of it not having reached the award date quite yet.

I think Zloth or Zombie-Man may have the Known Issues list over on Paragon Wiki or somewhere. I just can't find a post on it for some reason.

The one thing I see in common here between you and Vyriss that I don't see in most other cases is STEAM.

Too many are using ATI cards for it to be totally an ATI issue, including me. I can't remember off the top of my head right now if mine is an HD4830 or HD4850, I'll have to look at that in a bit on my system just for my own curiosity.

You obviously have more faith in people being willing to behave like civilized beings than I currently do.

Sounds like a system hardware issue. If you have a really good local computer repair shop, they may have someone that is willing to work on laptops and knows what they are doing that may be able to see if it is something easy to resolve or not. And by local computer repair shop I'm not talking about the chains like BestBuy or similar.

Also, since you are using an ATI card, be sure to read BillZBubba's ATI Issues and Settings Recommendations thread that is stickied in this forum. The first post will give you all the information on the settings you need.

First, post a log from running CoH Helper as it will give information about your system and the CoH installation and settings.

Second, post a log from running HijackThis. This will show what else is going on on your computer while you are playing CoH.

I'd recommend ending with Zloth's ++ Common Solutions & Posting Guidelines ++ thread that is stickied in this forum.

You may also want to download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware free edition. I've gotten rid of some really nasty deeply embedded stuff with this. Stuff that I couldn't get rid of fully with Spybots was no problem at all for MBAM.

I still run Spybot, and keep an updated version of both the program and the definitions on my repair toolkit flash drive, but I've gotten to the point of just skipping past it and going straight to MBAM in many cases since it seems to cut my work (and time) in half.
