Glad someone is actually testing the 186.18 drivers and reporting on whether they work.
Out of curiosity Mateo, what OS version are you running that on? -
You expect people making modern movies based off of existing franchises should make themselves knowledgeable about the history of the story they are telling?
What are you, some kind of Star Trek fanboi?

I'd recommend starting with Zloth's ++ Common Solutions & Posting Guidelines ++ thread that is stickied in this forum.
Secondly, post a log from running CoH Helper as it will give information about your system and the CoH installation and settings.
Thirdly, post a log from running HijackThis. This will show what else is going on on your computer while you are playing CoH.

Must you brainlessly spam every thread with that post?
[/ QUOTE ]
Since the OP contained absolutely no information that would be of assistance in troubleshooting the problem? Yes, although I wouldn't characterize it as "brainlessly spamming" as you do. To me, "brainlessly spamming" would be posting incorrect information in several threads, or irrelevant information in several threads.
If I see a post with enough information to begin troubleshooting, no, I don't post that particular clip of text.
As the poster above me said, if I didn't post to ask for it, someone else would. Considering the odd hours I'm keeping while recuperating from surgery, I can sometimes come in and at least get the information process started so that by the time those with more knowledge than me arrive on the scene they are already armed with the information they need to assist the player. -
You will need to file a support ticket with NCSoft Support or call NCSoft Support for assistance with this. This link may have access to everything you need for contacting them.
This section of the forums is for players to assist players, and all account and billing support is handled strictly by NCSoft through their website. -

EDIT: Also, upgrade Vista to SP2. -
Update Vista to SP2.
Update Video card drivers.
The following line has me curious, so I'll quote it here in case any of the others miss seeing it on first glance as I almost did:

Turn off the MagicDisk stuff, the DAEMON Tools stuff, the GoogleTalk stuff, GoogleUpdate stuff, Live Messenger stuff, Adobe Reader quick launch.
You can also get rid of the following:

There have been some problems reported with the Logitech SetPoint software. You may want to do a search in this forum to see what the issue and workaround was. -
You've given us very little information to work with.

Turn off all the un-needed junk running in the background like the Google Updater, Google Desktop, Ipod stuff (including Bonjour and mDNS), Punkbuster, TeamSpeak, uTorrent, etc.
Your C drive is getting very low on space. Windows will have occaisional problems with that little free space, especially with the Swap File. Move what you can to a different drive to free up a little space on the C drive so that you can be sure it isn't an issue with the Swap File usage or anything along those lines.
Are you connecting to a router using wireless to run the game? If so, try running an ethernet cable from your computer to the router to make sure it isn't some type of wireless interference or other wireless issues causing the problems. -
Congratulations Mr and Mrs. Bennett.
Hey, at least I can spell your name right, unlike the folks that make the nametags for the Meet & Greet 2007. -
Looking at the drive information, your C drive only has 5% Free space. That's extremely low. Windows alone needs more free space than that. It's also where you have your CoH installation.
Move your CoH installation to a different drive, or move as much as you can from your C drive to the External drive.
I don't like running any games from an external drive due to the lower transfer rates. Were it my computer, I'd install a larger internal drive for games only. -
Try lowering your Windows sceen resolution one tick and the game resolution to the same setting. For example, I lowered mine to 1776x10000 even though the "native resolution" for my monitor claims to be 1920x1080. I also run in Windowed mode, and no longer have the sound loop crashes.

Since customization of characters is a focus right now, please don't forget that character customization was seriously damaged by the loss of chat bubble control over "Border Color", Background Opacity" and "Text Scale"
Please note that something valuable was taken away, Dev Team.
Since customization is the focus of the latest Dev Diary by BAB, I want to bump this again as a reminder that this needs some TLC.
What was taken away was a real loss to some of the player population in terms of character customization. I have characters with multiple personality issues that I will not play again until I can make those personalities have their own voices again.
Can we see some attention to this?

You might have better luck getting this seen by posting it in the Suggestions and Ideas forum. Or whatever it's called lately. I try to avoid that area personally. -

I felt much the same when I posted it Zombie_Man, however, I felt I had to do my best to assist a fellow player. Whether they decide to provide the information needed for others to assist them is ultimately up to them.
I've done my part so far. -
You may want to grab Tweak CoH then and use it to configure the graphics settings before launching the game.
Another option would be to select the Safe Mode box on the User Agreement screen to see if the game will launch in Safe Mode.
Have you tried verifying the files by clicking the Verify Files button on the first updater screen? -

Since you are using an nVidia card, I'd recommend checking jg0001's NVIDIA Settings for Quality (ver2) that is stickied near the top of this forum. -
Why mention Santa Clara twice Red? Does that particular city hold some special place in your heart?

You have some corruption going on that is causing the Unknown lines to show up, as well as the 2147483647 showing up everywhere.
I'd suspect a corrupt video driver install. Download Driver Sweeper and follow the instructions on that page to run it correctly.
I'd also recommend upgrading to Vista SP2.
Once you've done those, rerun CoH Helper and post a fresh log of it's output. -
This is not where you'd look for Redname comments on your situation.
This forum is for players to help other players with Technical Issues they are having.
The best solution would be to file a Support Ticket on the NCSoft Support Page. -
