Quote:Don't have to anymore. We can put images in our posts now. No need to ask the Community Team to do it for us.Quote:That's not the point though. We want to drum up more viewership.
I've seen others that were unaware they could post their own images wondering how to get someone to post them for them.
I guess I should just give up on trying to give information about the forum capabilities, or anything else for that matter.
Carry on. -
I would recommend sending a PM to Arbiter Kim about this (since he's in charge of bugs) and also give him the link to this thread.

I'd recommend upgrading Vista to Service Pack 2 since it corrected several issues.

Quote:The Paragon Studios Devs have little to do with this. All they generally do is come up with the rewards, design the badges and any temp powers that are in the reward and add the code.As you can see, I have a discrepency in my dates as well. I've petitioned in game and through Account Management, and as you can see it has effected both of my accounts:

DEVS, please give us some feedback on this issue.
Thanks

This is a customer service issue that is handled by NCSoft Customer Service in either Austin, TX (most likely) or in Bellevue, WA (very unlikely).
As stated earlier in the thread, file a /petition in game or file a support ticket on the PlayNC site. -
-
To verify whether or not it is working, I took a character into the Abandoned Sewers that had not been into the Sewers at all. Once I got to the correct location in the Abandoned Sewers, I saw the plaque on the wall, clicked it and read the text.
Working as far as I can tell. If you aren't seeing the plaque, you are not in the Abandoned Sewers as Katie V and Catwhoorg stated. -
Try looking at the post just before yours. It gives instructions of what to do.

Quote:I'd recommend sending a PM to BackAlleyBrawler about this, and maybe send a link to this thread as well. It may be related to the other problems and be fixed when the corrections are put into a build to Live, or it may be a completely unrelated matter that he needs to look at and correct so that it can be put into a Live build.Okay, I'm having a similar issue with my /devices blaster. Trying to change some of the colors of things such as web grenade, targetting drone, and caltrops the change won't stick. Ones like smoke grenade and taser they do. Of course the tailor will still take my influence every time I try. Blah.

There is a sticky post about Credit Cards already that was started in August of 2007. You are a bit late. Different credit card companies and banks are using different forms of verification, so it's rather difficult to try to incorporate every possible one into their systems.
There is also another sticky on Contacting Support & About This Forum that gives information about how to contact the appropriate people for problems. This section is for discussion of bugs and Technical Questions, not for official support. Most of the support here is from players helping players. Yes, the Devs do look in here at times, and occaisionally respond, but it isn't anything to count on. Also, billing is not handled by the Paragon Studios Dev team, that is handled by NCSoft's offices in Austin. -
I have Windows 7 64-bit as well, and don't have these problems. I've seen posts by others with the same version that don't have these problems.

The current driver listed on the nVidia site is the 191.07 driver, which is what you have. Look at the last 5 numbers in the Driver Version listed above and you will see 19107. -
Quote:The power name, most likely, is technically Ninja Leap, but the emote is NinjaJump, at least as far as the command names go. It's likely the internal name for it.It's called "Ninja Leap" on the PlayNC store site and in Niv's announcement that the booster was released.
Kinda like so many powers still being referred to internally as Gadgets instead of Devices. -
Quote:Actually, it was worded correctly in the one I look at.Try ccNinjaJump (it works, I promise). The write-up they gave us was worded a little off.

So, you want to use the following instead:
/bind numpad1 "cce 0 CCNinjaJump"
Anytime you are looking for information on emote binds with the various SuperBoosters, the easiest thing to do is to go to the Dev Digest and set the Posts by to BackAlleyBrawler and you should be able to find it fairly quickly.
Wonder how long that last link will work. Hmm. Will try it in a week or so. -
You got me curious, so I checked on my Vet Rewards page. I knew that the most recent one would have an incorrect date since it didn't award properly and they had to apply it manually. I colored it green in the list below. I couldn't get the nice neat formatting unless I put in underscores or dashes or some-such, but this should suffice.
It DOES however show that my future Vet Rewards are back on the original schedule even after this glitch. I've also had several Retail codes for various boxed item purchases (Original CoH purchase, CoV, HeroGear kit, and Architect Edition) applied to my account and it's never caused it to skip a month.
As SliceNDice said, file a petition. They should be able to correct it. If needed, point them to this thread and they will be able to see the differences between your dates and mine and the discrepancy.

Quote:Out of curiosity, what do you consider to be necessary lag?
To some this up , in certain areas I have what I believe to be uneccessary lag.
There is more involved in the process than just your computer, your ISP connection and the game servers. There are multiple hops along the way, and most likely your teammates that are not experiencing lag are not using the exact same hops as you are. Even from houses next door to each other using the same ISP and having IP addresses that are only 1 digit apart, the data can take different routes depending on the traffic it encounters and how the routers along the way route the data.
Personally, I've had very little lag for the past several months, except during the Halloween Banner events, Invasions (Zombie or Rikti) and raids (Hami or Rikti Ship). I had one night during the Halloween event and doing Trick or Treating that lag got a bit rough, but several others were having problems as well so I attributed it to a server issue. Other than that, any lag I've run into has been minimal and not lasted very long.
YMMV -
Quote:Dark isn't a color.Yes, he's always been fire/stone, but he has two builds and uses pyre in his scranker/farming/offense mode, so I can see why you'd think he was /fire. And, yes, I do remember teaming with you as well. ArwenDarkblade is one of those unforgettable names.
Elvish/color/weapon is a good pattern. TalynRedscythe. GaelaroBlueflame. JaronBlackknife.
It works. -
Quote:I was on a Hero.
Question for people that had the problem exiting Lord Winters realm and arriving outside the map:
- Was it Heroes only, or did any Villains experience it?
- Did you exit by clicking on the portal, or did you wait for the timeout to kick you from the zone?
- Did you just enter the first instance and stay there, enter the second and stay there, or enter the first and then transfer to the second?
- There was a short period when entry to the second did not work at the white present. Did you try and enter the second zone during this period and fail?
I waited for the timeout to kick me from the zone.
I entered the first instance, zoned directly from the first instance to the second instance (without going back through Steel Canyon and clicking a present).

I would recommend turning off the Dell Dock completely. It seems to be a Dell branded version of Stardock Software's ObjectDock. Stardock's Windows Blinds is known to cause problems with CoH, and I've seen others whose problems have been resolved by turning off the Dell Dock.
I don't know if it would have caused problems on my computer or not since I uninstalled it immediately after setting up my computer.
I'd recommend NOT using Compatibility Mode either, since we've had reports of others having problems with that setting enabled. The only setting you should need to use on the Compatibility tab is the Run as Administrator setting.
EDIT: You may also want to temporarily disable your Computer Associates Internet Security Suite software. The firewall or other configurations of this program may be causing some of the problems you are seeing as well. -
Two things to /bug, then comments/thoughts. I filed a less detailed bug report in game about each of these, but providing more detail here.
1. I was the team leader on my blaster and received a tell asking for an invite. I sent an invite but got a message " You cannot make a co-op team unless all teammates are on the same map." I thought possibly it was someone that hadn't yet zoned in from Steel Canyon, so waited a bit and sent again but got the same message. I sent a reply tell of the error I was getting and they said they were on the map attacking Lord Winter. I sent the invite again with the same results, so asked what AT they were on and was told MM. They could see my comment about how much room was on the team in broadcast which is how they got my name to send me the initial tell asking for an invite. If we are going to be fighting the same Lord Winter in the same zone, shouldn't we be able to invite players of the opposing faction to our team?
2. We stayed in the second instance fighting the Snow Beasts, Frostlings, etc after defeating LW the second time, and the timer ran out. Once it got to 0 it started counting up. I saw it reach 8 seconds when it zoned me out. That is where the problems hit. I was zoned to a location under the map. My mini-map showed I was in Steel Canyon, but I was hovering under the map. Those that didn't have hover on were falling. My /loc at the time was 2460.4 2.8 1494.3 and I am bolding and coloring this to make it easy to spot for Ghost Falcon or whoever to find it.
Now, for the comments/thoughts.
I loved the comment on the Admin channel from Evil Falcon and got a bit of a chuckle from it. Those that saw it know what it was, but I'm not sayin'.
I was a bit late getting in and the present was already on the map. The blue dot marker made it very easy to find, and I had plenty of time to fly across Steel Canyon to get to the present from the Yellow line. The present was just below the Green line, so that meant I covered most of the length of the map. Once I got there, I still had plenty of time before the present was click-able to enter LW's Realm.
I didn't get de-toggled during either fight with LW, which was a pleasant surprise. I was also able to stay alive the entire fight and wasn't constantly getting agro coming from the mobs between the Guardian fights and back to LW.
Since I was late, I'm not sure if a change was made that we needed to defeat LW twice to get the badge, but I didn't see a message after defeating him in the first instance, so I'm just assuming this is one of the changes.
It seemed as if this would have been easier on a lower level character than the previous test, but since I don't have anything very low level on the test server it's hard to tell. It may also be easier on the lower population servers, but the only way to really test that will be to have a single team try it, then have two teams try it, then three teams try it, etc. until we get enough hard data to find out for certain how smaller numbers of players fare against it.
Unfortunately, I have previously made plans for the evening, so can't stick around for more testing to try it with lower numbers of players.
One other oddity, now that I'm thinking about it. I saw someone mention this during the fight in the second LWR instance, and almost forgot about it. During the fight in the first instance of the zone, I didn't get the FOG effect when LWR called the Guardian, but did get it during the second instance. This was each time he called the Guardian, not just a single time. Was it supposed to call in the FOG during both instances? If it was, I and some others didn't see it during the first instance.
Overall, this seemed to flow much smoother than the previous test.
