I have to say that this looks astounding and far exceeds what I expected based on the concept art. Keep up the great work! ( ' :

I don't recall our stats, but Team Gorgon wound up finishing close to 12:30am I think.
We had at least 1 major team wipe and that was at the the doors of City Hall before getting to the dopplegangers (which all went down pretty fast). For some reason, there was just an insane amount of ambushes that came at us. It looked like it was going to be okay, but then the screen just kep filling with them. After regrouping, it still chewed up some time as we tried to hunt down a runner, incurring a few more deaths along the way.
Still had lots of fun ( ' : -
basically, that.
If you have access to the old machine (or hard drive), start by running the installing and running the launcher on the new machine, then click to install city of heroes. Once it starts, cancel it and copy over your entire city of heroes directory. Then fire up the launcher again. -

Malcolm Reynolds is basically a darker version of Han Solo <snip>[QUOTE]
Malcolm Reynolds is basically a darker version of the original Han Solo from Star Wars IV A New Hope-- the character who shot Greedo dead out of self-preservation, because he always looked out for #1, but then experienced a modicum of character growth by coming back to save Luke and the Alliance.
Not the Han that became more popular than most other characters in the Star Wars Universe and, consequently (because he wasn't killed off....like Mercutio), became comic relief in Return of the Jedi before getting further marginalized by editing possibly his most character-defining moment -- the confrontation with Greedo. People call him a grumpy curmudgeon now, but Harrison Ford was right: Han should have been killed off somewhere in the middle to eliminate him as a distraction from the main characters as well as maintain the dignity of his character. Malcolm Reynods is Han Solo written properly and brought to the forefront. -

Captain Malcolm Reynolds is all the scoundrel one needs. And, he most certainly shoots first.Quote:Didn't Mal say something to Simon to the effect that he would only kill/shoot him if Simon was armed and facing him?
I can recall a mercy kill or two from Mal, notably that villager in the movie when they escape from the Reavers, but the rest were people that were fittin' to do harm to him or his. -

Quote:Here ya go ( ' :[A tied-up Crow is made to kneel outside Serenity as it prepares to lift off]
Mal: Now this is all the money Niska gave us in advance. You give it back to him, tell him the job didn't work out. We're not thieves... well, we are thieves, but the point is we're not taking what's his. We'll stay out of his way as best we can from here on in. You'll explain that's best for everyone, okay?
Crow: [stands up] Keep the money. Use it to buy a funeral. It doesn't matter where you go, or how far you fly, I will hunt you down, and the last thing you see will be my blade.
Mal: Darn. [kicks Crow into Serenity's engine intake]
[Cut to another henchman being placed before Mal]
Mal: Now this is all the money Niska gave us in advanceĀ
Henchman: Oh, I get it! I'm good. Best thing for everybody. [desperate grin] I'm right there with you.

[Mal refuses to kill the prone, humiliated Atherton.]
Sir Warrick: You have to finish it, lad. [Mal doesn't move] You have to finish it. For a man to lay beaten, yet breathing? It makes him a coward.
Inara: It's humiliation.
Mal: It would be humiliating, having to lie there while the better man refuses to spill your blood. Mercy is the mark of a great man.
[He lightly stabs Atherton.]
Mal: Guess I'm just a good man.
[He repeats the poking.]
Mal: Well, I'm all right.

"Your backup is only as good as your ability to restore it", a memorable quote my mentor shared back in the 90s when I first started consulting.

1.) Golden rule and all of its corollaries that apply to real life......treat people as you want to be treated//leave the place (supergroup stocks) as good, if not better than, as you found it//etc.
2.) The response to any variety of "can I bring my <insert toon>?" is "play what you will have fun with, we'll make it work."
3.) Review badges during any sewer run/DfB to identify new players, then welcome them to the game. -

Quote:I'll second this recommendation. I picked up an Asus G74 XC1 during black friday at newegg -- also snagged an ssd and stuck it in there -- runs fantastic. It might not be exactly what you want, but the ASUS G74SX-A2 (or any of the G74 series) Republic of Gamers laptops come close to or exceed all the specs you have listed for your desktop. The screen size is 17.1", not bad for a laptop, but you can pick it and take it w/you anywhere. The best part...............knock about a thousand bucks off the price for an alienware.

Quote:3960 points are sitting on my main account, accruing 550pp/month since the launch of freedom -- I've bought no points and have only picked up beam rifle and the barbarian pack I believe.....it's partially an interest issue and partially a valuation of the goods offered (i.e some packs are too pricy for what they offer and I have the self-control to wait).Anecdotal evidence:
I'm sitting on 900 something points as I've had nothing that interests me come out lately. I most likely would have bought the Halloween pack last week while creating a new toon, had the option been available.
In turn, that would have meant I'd have to purchase more points to buy Staff when it finally hits. Instead I'm now able to save those points and as a result I won't have to spend any to get Staff... -
It was a fun outing -- Team Spin Kick took no prisoners, managing to steamroll through DfB 3 times, picking up all of the badges between the first 2 runs.
