  1. So, I got the full stipend plus VIP bonus on my primary account today and just 400 points on my secondary. I also got a reward token on the secondary, but not the primary.

They wouldn't even lift a finger to save their own grandmothers from the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal without orders signed in triplicate, sent in, sent back, queried, lost, found, subjected to public inquiry, lost again, and finally buried in soft peat for three months and recycled as firelighters. The best way to get a drink out of a NCsoft executive is to stick your finger down his throat, and the best way to irritate him is to feed his grandmother to the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal. On no account should you allow a NCsoft executive to sell you a game.

In other words, the poor working stiff at NCsoft Austin that could change the account wouldn't get approval until sometime next year.
I'm really going to miss reading your posts, Snowy... stupid ncsoft....

Thank you for taking the time to do this Posi, et al. I think all of us are in agreement that the amount of work put into backstory is greatly appreciated, as was the time to answer these questions.

Hopefully we will get our miracle: recovery!

Considering it's largely licensed from Cryptic? Not much....
  5. I'll be there, possibly bringing a SJ/Shield Brute, Ball Hawk.
  6. If no one else is really interested, I'd also take take lot 36 off your hands too, please ( ' :
  7. I used this one -- 34D5-HAX9-6J5Z-PK5Q-6HFT

    Thank you!
  8. I would love to take 1 of your Scrapper's Strike lots off your hands,please ( ':

  10. Yeah, it occurred to me only late last night that perhaps I should just start walking around demorecording NPCs and provide a master list to the Titan Network (for what it is worth).

  12. So, my primary account is subscribed into 2013. Typically on the 7th I get my 550 points -- so far nothing has shown up. Has anyone entered that window of time and *not* received their monthly stipend?

That would really be annoying if that process was discontinued.
  13. If they migrated the existing game into an enduser-run experience (basically packaging the server software and client together like diablo i and 2 or the FPS), I would totally be in it. It would be up to the purchaser to figure out the bandwidth needs if they decided to host something accessible on the internet, but otherwise doable on a lan (or own computer for the single player experience).
  14. I would love to take a minimum level LoTG 7.5% off your hands(or 3, if you could spare it). Please mail to @Texarkana

    Thank you so much! ( ' :
  15. I've been doing something similar, a countdown journal inside an Excel Worksheet. Other Tabs have various bucket lists for specific characters and/or missions arcs to complete. A suprising amount of time is suddenly being invested in the demorecord function.....

I will second Atlantea's comment regarding, Jennie Nova -- yet another fun concept realized -- great write-up and costume!
  16. Depends on how many VIPs, Tier 4 accounts (lifetime ww access), tier 7 (lifetime invention access) there are, along with those with enough points left to buy respective licenses for WW and IOs that may not fall into the above categories.

That is quite a few factors to account for, never mind the rush of people to return versus the jaded leaving and how they filled in the supply and/or demand sides.

With that written, I envision salvage prices will start to climb again, if not actual IOs since the salvage is still necessary even if you are crafting for yourself. Of course, that all depends on the number of reward merits floating around too from the super packs too....

I wouldn't start dumping things though -- perhaps in Mid-October, but there's a lot of stuff going with the fanbase trying to save the game and the rumor of possible suitors right now.

    Where are you?

Up to 142 -- @Texarkana is Blue in Boston, MA.

It's a neat little map, although the scrolling can be abit out of control at times (although that may just be IE9).
  18. It is kind of a crazy thing that the "VIP" population will dwindle out by the end, if they were not subscribed beyond November 30th. Then again, some might argue that its crazy that some of us are subscribed through 2013 and won't get to use those points, tokens, or time....
  19. It was a fun night, with lots of teleporting, some more successful than others ( ' ;

    Team 3 fnished in 1:23 with 6 deaths, I believe. Good times -- I look forward to next week ( ' :

When I play it, there's always people around! So with that knowledge, I'm taking it with a major grain of salt, a hopeful one, but a grain nevertheless.

If either SOE or PWE gets this game, they'd immediately double their subscribers and gain a huge market advantage over their remaining superheo MMO competitor. I wouldn't be surprised if any bidding going is mostly between the two of them.
You can make the case that City of Heroes and DCUO really do not compete with each other. Yes, they aim at the same niche genre, which can potentially fragment the group. But the reality is that CoX is a far more cerebral game (many would attest it to be a mathematical playground) than DCUO's kinetic button-mashing (a different type of adrenalin rush/fun). Anecdotally, I don't think the demographics overlap significantly (but, what do I know). If the assumptions hold any water, then SOE could potentially corner a larger chunk of the super-hero enthusiast group by bringing City of Heroes into the fold. Furthermore, the CoH consumer group is one already acclimated to both subscriptions and microtransactions, which SOE may find attractive not only for direct sales, but mixing into its existing consumer base.

    Anyway, it's a nice fantasy.....
