On an old MUD I used to play, Overdrive (overdrive.overdrivemud.net 5195), there was a "morph" monster that was doppleganger -- it was a fun battle when it mirrored all of your abilities, scaling with level, and gave up some sweet armor too but it got abused and removed from the game.
Anyway, looking forward to that kind of mirror-match again. -

And that was a wee bit much.
So I became a dog person. Found a stray, kept him for years, loved him to pieces, and then he died and I was sad for a very long time. I have had dogs over the years, but they eventually died (strange, that).
And then I got my cat, Miko (short for Mikoyan-Gurevich), who is a Russian Blue. Great cat, practically a dog, because he plays "tag", comes when I call him, is insanely athletic (my little Russian Rocket) and other than a penchant for assuming the "king of the castle role" role in my home, seems to be on the up and up.
So when you ask, "Which is it? Cats or dogs?" I say, "Yes."

BTW: I get a lot of PMs every day, and though I don't respond to them all, I have them forwarded to my email inbox so I read every single one of them. So if anyone feels like I'm ignoring them, please accept my apologies. I do read, I do respond and/or pass on information about anything that sounds like it needs it (like PMs about this thread, for example) to the people best able to solve the problem/issue/request/concern/praise, etc.
I was thinking it, so I thought I'd throw it out there.

The concept isn't out of the realm of possibility for this game. The big question is what AT should it fall under. For example if you'll look at the Blaster AT the Energy secondary set is a melee powerset. I'm sure if the devs wanted they could put something together.

I congratulate people in a relatively timely manner but don't scarfice an attack to do it. Plus, it gets funny when a whole bunch of people do it at the same time, even if it's during a sewer run (and it's easy to do "grats x3").
Thankfully when people hit 50 you don't have to congratulate them anymore, unless they score a cool recipe! ( ' ;
Edit: I also like to cg people for /deathblow'ing a GM, AV or the main boss of a mission. *shrug* It's fun! -

Theoretically, at least according to this slide: http://developer.download.nvidia.com...apex_arch2.jpg :: Apex is exposed through PhysX. The development staff would be much better off exposing this sort of physics framework through OpenCL.
Now, if Nvidia wants to expose Apex through OpenCL so that the technology works on video cards without an Nvidia branding, then it might be worth the time for our developers to take a look at it. -

So, are the mods working under the assumption that if something shows up in another game, then it must be copyrighted? Are they doing lookups on the US copyright database (http://www.copyright.gov/)?
"Diablo" shows up 512 times..."Izual" doesn't.... I'm just wondering what the guidelines are. -

Some advice on the dresscode for the evening -- avoid boots or sneakers as they may very well not let you in.

Au contraire! The French eat frogs and snails, making them ultra-low maintenance, and therefore, ideal pawns in a Nemesis plot. Plus, having some sort of oppositional disorder cannot justify just how ridiculously often they disagree with the global community. They're a Nemesis plot.
Fortunately animated hair isn't a nemesis plot. -
