    Ok no purples, I will still aim for the standard softcap to range and AoE, you can pop a luck for trials/DA.


    Is 5 LOTG +7.5% recharge ok? They aren't that hard to get.
  6. Just need some thoughts, as I am planning my build.

    On beta, skipping Merurial is rather painful leveling up,
    as for ST damage Its just AS and Precise strike till 26, then 32...

    But on a min maxed build do you think its do able or recommended?

    Another nine pick set, it seems....

  10. What is your budget and goals?

    Incarnate soft cap?
    Recharge to get the Up/Down on RoA and all traps low as possible?
    Explain why you want Power BU on a set combo that doesn't benefit from i really.

    How about Dark mastery, Dark Consumption, Dark Embrace/Soul Transfer, Soul Drain instead?

    This is with trying to factor in the use of Build Up when it's up, and picking what I would suspect would be the optimal slotting for MOST NOT ALL, slotting.

    So obviously, there will be variance, buuuut...this is what it's looking like to me so far.

    Something to note as well, is with AS in the chain, some of the top chains become easier to obtain.

    Dark Melee for instance, I'd go with SM - SL - AS - MG - Repeat (this also goes with the idea of the Stalker IO Set being put to best use in AS) over SM - SL - SM - MG. With AS having a longer animation than SM, that means MG needs just a little less +RCH to obtain this chain.

    MA one might want to try replacing CS/CK with AS, but no, SK won't recharge fast enough. Best to replace SK with AS. And I'm not 100% convinced that's the best chain for it now with the new Stalker IO Set as a consideration. EC after an AS for a better chance to crit just sounds nice.

    I think MA can pull ahead of NB in ST DPS, if it was able to slot the -Resist Proc or at least tie it. But even if it beats NB in ST DPS, it doesn't seem to be by as much. So, people will likely go NB for the added AOE, even if that added AOE is just GD.

    Over all, I think the DPS favors the Stalkers (at least it seems easier to obtain with versus the other Melee ATs) when used in such sets as WP, SR...basically no set with a damage aura or some sort of additional damage obtainable in their secondary (AAO or FE).

    No idea on Claws or DB versus Scrappers/Brutes. And Kin Melee I don't know for sure either. Basically the sets that don't have the +DMG attacks in them for Stalkers.
    Don't discount BU refresh on KM. solo its a 10% chance (more if you care to levelrage the stalker proc), on teams its a 33% chance.

    I think things will be interesting if Synapse comes through and normalizes Placate down to 1 second activation.

    Traps for defenders - just doesn't make sense to me. I am thinking about deleting one I have in the 40s. Every time I play him, I feel weak compared to other sets. Traps is great for masterminds and decent for corruptors, but as a defender I just don't feel that Traps is very good compared to the OMGWOW of other defender sets.     The beaty of traps on defenders is just exactly how tough and resillient you can become.

    Unlike Corrs and MMs, you can have a Traps defender with ANY epic pool choice while still having:

    45% soft cap to everything under the sun or 59% incarnate softcap to ranged with near 45% softcap to Melee/Aoe.
    Permahasten on top of the above.
    Massive deep debuff numbers from seekers, Caltrops and Acid Mortor.
    Al the while not too far behind (and depending on epic taken possibly surpassing) a corrutor in damage when solo.
  15. Dark Miasma-- I used to have 7 of these. Its a wonderful set I just played it too much.
    Single target Melee and Ranged sets-- Dark Melee, Energy melee, Beam Rifle, Sonic Blast. Just not fun anymore.

    1000 Cuts - 41.84

    One Thousand Cuts isn't the greatest but at least it can hit multiple targets. I am sure unhidden Assassin's Blade is the best DPS but I do not have the numbers for it. Superior damage in about 1.452s (Guesstimate).
    Wow, consider my Dual Blades Stalker on hiatus at this point. gunna wait for Staff melee.

    Dominator PBAOES were normalized to 15 foot during their AT pass.
    You should not expect Melee PBAOEs to get the same treatment.

    Infact I to this day wonder why Footstomp maintains its 15 foot radius.
