So now I have all the new stuff to tier 3 and a tier 4 only on the alpha. It looks as if I am gonna have to get like retardedly lucky to get this done.
On my Wolf Spider Huntsman toon I have no complaints.
But on my Traps I have yet to SEE an uncommon or higher table after 50 or so runs. I have gotten the booby prize (10 threads) quite a few times.

Last night I ended up spending to upconvert the trash I have to Rares so I could get my level shifts, because I will HAVE to save for 60 Empyrean merits to get a Destinty and Interface to T4.

You have nothing to complain about.

I will be shifting to my Fortunata today, hope I have the same luck as my Wolf Spider Huntsman.

  3. Meh complaining more won't help.

    Huntsman gets Rare/V.rare like rain.
Trapper gets commons and Booby Prizes only.

    Oh thats just great.

My trapper's buffs/debuffs are all pseudo pets, and my aoe damage is also Pseudo pets (ice storm and Blizzard).

So this toon has been pretty much been given the finger by the devs. Good to know.
  5. Moved to my trapper now, and I no longer think its random.

    Its based on PERSONAL attacks/heals.
Pseudo pets and pets don't count.

And I have 15 commons to show for it.
  6. Posting it in another thread because Zombie Man said to.

Yes, of course. Everyone I've ever played with on my server will suddenly change. Why didn't I see that coming?
    You still don't understand.

I am not talking player behaviour. I am talking about the devs designing content that requires a player to have the Level shifts and powers from issue 20.

Like I said its only natural, because if the devs are handing these shinies to us they must have plans for content that will use them otherwise what is the point of these powers?

If you could tell me right now with 100% assurance that the future issues of the game will not have 54+3 enemies or encounters that need teams with Destiny buffs I would drop what I am doing dragging my most treasured 50s through these raids, and go back to rolling new Toons.

Again: I am not talking about playerbase behaviour, I am predicting that future content will be designed (at least till the inarcnate stuff is done) with the current power increase in mind. And that is what people want.

No "you need level shifts". No "you need slotted judgement". No "we need destiny barrier rare". Nothing. Nobody is that uptight about it, well maybe except you.

What I have seen is "grab him if he can fog a mirror so we can get this damned run started".

Lambda is slightly harder and longer, so people pursue the path of least resistance (BAF). However since you can only get an Empyrian merit from each TF roughly once per day you will still find lambdas if you try. I have not had trouble getting lambdas each day. It just takes longer for them to start.
I think you missed the first line of my post.

Its what I think is coming. Not the current content but future content gated behind having the abilities gained fom the current content.

    I apologize you missed that.

One thing that is impossible to account for is randomness.

In 2 days of eye bleeding grinding I have gotten 2 Very rare windows 15 Rare windows 25ish Uncommon and 3 Commons (why I can't get commons I dunno but sometimes I wish I would).

A year of ITFs a day is alot, I expect it would be MUCH higher to match the extraordinary luck I have been having with my drop tables.

Then there is a friend of mine who has gotten the 10 Thread drop multiple times, and mostly commons and Uncommon windows (and can't get IXP to save his life) Easily matched via the ITF method.
  11. FYI: I joined a raid in progress last night on a whim during the dual av fight in the BAF.

    I got a very rare.

    I really think it's random
  12. I apologie to the unlucky, but I mostly get rare tables.

I have a ton of rares but I have only unlocked the Judgement slot.

Read what I posted again, because you obviously didn't the first time.

Heck, even before the Alpha slot, people would run "xp/loot" ITFs and manage to fill them up.
I think we are losing the point:

I have no problems doing the content.
Its just repetative and massivley boring to run the 2 (really one imo) trials ad nauseum with no effective alternate option.
  15. I think XP is based on participation, but not the tables.

That would be pretty evil, and create a interesting dynamic where people would jockey to have thier team asigned the more rewarding tasks.

    Read what I said again:

    I didn't say the wouldn't TAKE newcomers.
I said they wouldn't run the trials in a way to maximize Incarnate XP because:

    They got thiers already.

I didn't say everyone is like this, but sad to say this is a majority of what I experienced. As of monday a high majority of what I experience on trials are to get the objectives done as efficiently as possible so that they can start another trial.

No sharing spawns, no distribution of tasks so everyone in the trial gets a fair amout of xp. None of that.

When I see my global friends say: "I got t3+ on my main," then the log off and they don't come back, yeah I am trying to get this done before my global friends list goes dark.

If you take your time and just have fun, the abilities will come when they come. It's something to work for. It's the chase that's important.
    I know what is coming.

Level shifted NPC, and Level Shift debuffs. Its only natural.
If you don't stay with the pack you never catch up.

A +3 toon is more attractive to teams than a +1, so if you don't have the T3s at least, you are in danger of being left out of future content.

As such Level shift is not optional.

Dechs: Its alot harder to get a Lambda trial simply because people run them less and less as time goes by.

    UNPOSSIBLE.
Yes there is, but the people who already have thier slots unlocked are not interested in running it that way for the newcomers.

My problem with the Solo/Conversion path is that it is the ONLY alternative to the Lambda/BAF repeat system. And lets all be honest, its the BAF repeat system.

So if a person gets tired of running the same One (Two) Trial(s) over and over, thier only alternative is the conversion path to continue to make progress.

If you do any other content in this game of 7 years age, you are making insignificant almost FUTILE progress towards being an Incarnate. This is what irks me.

So the Conversion path isn't an option at all but a bullet point.

As clear as I can make this:

I am not a soloer, but I get tired of grinding the same trial over and over. There currently isn't anyway for me to progress on my toons (SOLO or GROUPED) that isn't a engineered waste of time and an insult to my intelligence.

test_rat, still sounds like you have a pretty crappy set of teams. Teams should be balanced as best as possible to spread everything around. If your league leader isn't massaging the teams, find a different league. What should be on a team is variable, but being in a league where you have all tanks and defenders on one team is going to blow for that one team. That is the fault of the league leader.
The teams I get on never fail, and are often master runs.

The problem is that I wasn't here the previous week as I have a real life at times, and all the people I end up running with (whether established friends or PUGS) have thier slots unlocked already and just want the badges and empirian merits. I missed the glory days of 50% xp runs and its only been a week.

So much for the people telling me to wait and take my time because as more people unlock the slots iXP will be come less and less the focus of trial runs, and you will be seeing more and more people reporting they get less than 15%per run.

So again tonight when I get home from work, I will start some Doctor Who in netflix, and drag my mains through the Incarnate system (System lol Misison really) over and over till I get this done.

Its definately slowing down Naz. I couldn't find a Lambda run last night after a couple of hours of looking. Tons of BAFs though.

Oh and Fridgid: I know that disobeying my league leader would get me more shards (ie I can go after the most XP generating objectives), but Not listening to your league leader happens to piss people off.

I am not giving up I am adapting:

I will be watching netflix while playing CoX, getting my two mains kitted up to T3 on all slots (Level shifts are not optional regardless of what people say on the forums).

After that, I dunno if i am going to end up like my friends and dropping off the face of the earth or sticking around between the next issue.

    Frigid:

I have never been on a team that failed the BAF or Lamda. On the two Lambda runs I have done on Freedom with my trapper we killed everything, but I was on the tanker support team so I wasn't directly involved with ADDs. Got 10%.

On the many BAFs I have done on my huntsman I have been on the "Siege" team practically every time, and usually come out with 15% progress.

I think the fact that the Xp you get is based on your personal or particualar TEAMS Kills is what is making the difference in what people report. If your particular team is low DPS (support team around a tank) you end up getting screwed. Unfortunately this is Working as intended as far as I know.
