    WRONG!

I'm pretty much a soloer and am working on getting my alpha slot filled. You can get the alpha slot filled without doing a single TF.

TFs/SFs just allow you to fill the slot faster than doing it solo.

Yes well I saw you post later more information. It still is some form of video capture software, but it appears to be part of coh. Who knows apparently no one here.

This looks like some sort of screen capture software.

Have you gone through your installed programs to see what's there?
exactly, this looks like some sort of screen capture or video recording software that is accidentally hooked into COH and running when COH is run.

My best guess is that you have some video capture/video recording software on your computer.

  5. I think you need to use the Pocket D Praetoria exit.
  6. No problem, I remember running around and trying every single door in there until I found it myself.
  7. You need to use the Praetorian exit. That is I think blue side behind that angled ramp. The access in the floor. Though now my memory is saying they may have moved it to one of the other exits.
  8. Oh yes in the Rikti War Zone mission of the Incarnate arc think about that last room before you attempt it. What is your goal, not what do you see.
  9. Nope, you do the Incarnate arc and voila you have the slot. No vanguard or other merits needed. You also earn Incarnate Shards from level 50+ foes you defeat.
  10. I have to respec because I accidentally slotted perfomance shifter in the wrong power. ::sigh:: Thats it.

    /facepalm

It is easy for a master mind to manage. But you must manage your minions.

back in the piller room set your minions to a specific location in the room. Set the minions to passive/defend. Move forward just to the edge of range and pull one of the two EB's. Retreat back to your minions. When the EB comes into range you can switch them to attack.

The key is to never let your minions get near the rikti room.

Some people just can't solo well. Has nothing to do with the build and everything to do with the player.

I remember back after I think it was ED or one of the other big changes some players were complaining that they literally couldn't solo some regular mission. Statesman copied the player who said that's character an assult/dev slotted nothing and then soloed it using only the dropped inspirations and enhancements he got in the mission the player was complaining about.

So there are players who just due to their style of play can't solo well.

Melee's are soloing this fairly easy and dont want or need to team up with the squishies.

And I saw alot of people saying just drop the mission, its not worth it...

whats the point of putting in a mission so many people are just going to drop.

Actually this mission is pathetically easy to do once you figure it out.

There are only 2 foes in the end room you need to fight at all. Use any ranged ability to pull one of them out of the swarm and defeat that one fighting well away from the crowd. Repeat for the other one and you are done with it.

IGNORE THE HUGE CROWD OF RIKTI THEY ARE JUST A DISTRACTION!

Oh true most builds will gain something from stamina. I've just never felt it was worth trading 3 powers for most of the time. Now though that it is free. ... I don't have any problem with it and certainly will enjoy the benefits. Particularly since it is no longer a choice between losing 3 powers or having stamina. I might even toss a couple of slots into it depending on how I feel. ::shrug::

Except he was dead on right to do it and I really hope they do something very like it this time.

I really don't have any sympathy for the people who claim "but the game let me do it." As an excuse to use an exploit. I'm all for banning people who do that.

Really it isn't that hard to spot when something is an exploit. If you are gaining something, anything at a massively accelerated rate over every other way of doing it then I would suggest being wary of what ever it is. This addresses pretty much everything.

Running a farm? Fine. Simply optimizing your way of doing something isn't breaking the rules. It may annoy a lot of people but really it is just using the games normal mechanics. Running a farm and getting multiple times a reward you would for any other farm? Hmm, let me think two seconds about that. .... Oh right clear exploit avoid like the plague and if you are really smart submit a bug report about it while your at it.

If you have to do something odd or run against one type of foe or something similar it is fairly clear that there is a problem and you should avoid it.

So yes I'm all for unleashing the banhammer like that. I'm sorry some people got grabbed in the data mining that turned out to be innocent and note that they could and did appeal it but you can expect that the devs will have monitored who gained levels how fast doing what. Oh yes you can.

    This.

Yes for some characters stamina is essential but not for most. Most can actually do very well with intelligent slotting and a bit of endurance reduction slotting.

The problem is that because most of the very high end highly optimized builds use stamina people "know" that it is something they "must" have. There is a reason that out of 70+ characters only 3 of mine have taken stamina. The rest have never needed it or missed it. Frankly I expect that gaining inherent swift/hurdle will have more of an impact on most of them than will the inherent stamina.

It has just become known that all builds need stamina. I've always found the 3 extra powers more than made up for stamina. Some characters have 3 powers to trade easily for stamina but most actually can gain as much extra from taking 3 other powers. ::shrug:: Different play styles mainly but one has become known as the ideal way.

Except that people who used the exploit are very likely to suffer the banhammer. Get ready for the wailing and gnashing of teeth that will happen when people start getting banned after the exploit is fixed. They always wait until it is fixed to dole out the punishments for using the exploit.

So to play my character concept, my way I lose my ability to do a respec on this character. I admit it's the only character that I have that the I19 change impacts and I'm not suggesting that in general that the vast majority of players and characters will benefit from this, other than those who whine that it doesn't come with extra slots, I'm just giving an example where I regret that there isn't a way to neuter the effects such as free unenhancements for those powers you can slot if you don't want them.
Actually umm, wrong. When you log in after I19 goes live your character who avoided taking any fitness power will instantly gain all 4 fitness powers. **POOF** just like that.

The only way to avoid it would be to respec right now and take hurdle or swift and don't slot it and then never respec.

Oh yes it is the middle of winter lets huddle in a powerless metal shell. Right, that was smart.

If they had the right skills they might, that is might have survived. But of course as mentioned none of them had the common sense of an eggplant.

Where was a common dwelling place that could be insulated and had a fireplace? Even in winter you can hunt presumably none of the eight had any hunting skills. But even I have some idea how to do that. They had time, didn't they store any food? Idiots one and all.

I had guessed early on that they were all dead and reanimated/repaired by the aliens and thus the wrongness. I hadn't anticipated that they would run down but oh well.

I'll note that if you don't want to build a log cabin that wattle and dab can be fairly easily built. It isn't pretty but early man the world round lived in such dwelling places and even unskilled you could have built one in at most a month. I've seen one built in under a day as a demonstration. Of course for that they had all the supplies right there but still. Oh and they had furs so again where was their insulated dwelling with them burning wood from the freaking forest that surrounded them. IDIOTS!

Sadly I'm not surprised at their deaths. Lots of people don't think about or realize the work that goes into primitive living. It all sounds so nice and looks so nice from a distance. Thus people fantasize about living that way.

  24. Out of 70+ characters I'm planning to respec one of them and that one only because I wasn't thinking and slotted my performance shifter chance to gain endurance enhancement in the wrong power. Since I can't take back that last move and since this is one of the 3 out 70+ characters I have that actually has Fitness I'll respec him so I can move that one enhancement around. As it is I really don't have 3 - 4 powers that I even want to take to replace the 3 fitness powers. ::shrug::
