Back when you had to get to 14 for a travel power and about the best way to do that was traipsing about the Hollows for awhile, I probably would've gone for the Rocket Board despite the annoying limitations. But these days I don't find it worthwhile given its limitations. Travel powers come much earlier, and a couple of runs through DfB could get you to 14 in short order anyway.

My favourite characters aren't wholly possible yet.

Only if they were too stupid to realize the context of the quote implied that playing a hero in the game was a choice.

Quote:Other than their Doctor, it doesn't look too bad.On the topic of old school Daleks, here's the trailer for the fan-made restaging of the lost Power of the Daleks.

Can't Preemies also use the store-bought IOs without a license?

Congratulations! I am somewhat envious.

Gratz to the happy couple. Gratz x (1323212121121!)!
Unless I'm missing something, shouldn't it be the other 16,454,879,461,980,120,550,697,045,712,161,676,098 ,194,791,687,815,867,928,114,511,922,983,023,151,0 00,111,419,533,566,706,966,759,058,571,685,286,190 ,944,092,159 reasons? -

Quote:I got fed up saving Marcus, I hate the layout of Cimerora which made an outdoor mission there annoying, and that last mission fighting groups of 8 bosses was so tedious I fell asleep and when I came back I just auto-completed it because I couldn't stand to start over from the beginning.
Blasphemy!!!! Cimerora and the Dream Doctor's Arcs were my favorites.

The scenery chewing was done by the time she started flying around at zippy speed far above my head, only coming down when she regenerated an annoying amount of health. Made that fight last about 10 times longer than it needed to. It was quite frustrating. The last thing I want in this game is *more* frustration.

Diabolique is a horrible, annoying fight. That's not the sort of memorable encounter I want to have.
-
Alright, now that I've *actually* finished the arcs, it was satisfying.
I hated having to go to Cimerora, though, and the missions there were annoying. -
I was able to do one chapter and get a reward for each of the days that I was able to play this week. It's going to be a long time before I get anywhere, if I can maintain focus long enough to get anywhere. Makes me feel like I'm spinning my wheels.

Quote:I think I just finished the Diabolique bit. I see someone mentioned Cimerora, and I wasn't looking for Cimerora contacts in my list. This being a Dark Astoria arc I was looking for the next Dark Astoria (or ???) contact. That might explain why it seemed to end so abruptly to me, eh?But.. you do thwart Mot. With a lot of finality. You even get a choice to -stab- him and steal some of his power. The only thing Dilemma Diabolique resolves is what happens to Diabolique, which is much more of a sidestory. Mot is wrapped up in the the DA arc.
What was the last contact you played? The Dream Doctor is the final contact. -
I don't know that I finished the First Ward arcs with any character. I remember starting them and not caring about them much.
I liked the Dark Astoria arcs, but after the last one it seemed like there should be more. And that they should eventually lead to thwarting Mot. If the story is only resolved in a trial, that in itself is unsatisfying, but it seemed like there was room for another couple of arcs leading up to such a resolution. -
My goal is getting Tier 3s in all or most slots. I don't know if I'll ever get there at this rate, but that's my goal.
Also, I'd like to unlock all the Astral/Empyrean costume pieces, but given the ridiculous costs relative to the rarity of said merits I doubt I'll ever achieve that. -
When I finished them I felt there should have been more. It felt like I was leaving off in the middle of the story. I brought up my contact list and searched in vain for the next contact and it didn't exist.

Quote:Ah, well, that I can agree with. That's not what I meant. I meant that +4s should have a better chance to drop everything than -1s. Edit: Meaning that if I'm fighting level 54s in DA but I have three level shifts, their drop rate should only be affected by a rank of +1. Flip side to that, of course, if I'm +3 and fighting -1s, drop rates should be reduced by a rank of -4.
-
IXP seemed low to me. I ran all the arcs and I think my percentages went up by 10. However, I'd have to roll through a few repeatables with a full team to get a better feel for the progression rate.
The thread drop rate didn't seem too bad to me, but the 20 hour limit on the meager thread reward in the repeatable missions seems silly.
And given that running at -1 was giving me all level 50 enemies, I disagree with Bill that running at -1 should void the chance for drops. -
Courage apparently agreed to it beforehand. If you tell someone they can have some of your french fries they're hardly a jerk if they take some of your french fries, but if you get all indignant when they take some of your fries at that point it does make you a bit of a prat.

I just got one of these today and had no use for it. Wish I could sell it on the market or something.

In the real world it moves from east to west, like the sun. IIRC, in-game it moves perpendicular to the sun, or else west to east. It's been awhile since I paid attention to it, but I recall being disturbed by the movement of celestial bodies once upon a time.
