Quote:I always go off the colours myself, which is why Defense and Resistance trick me. And on one of the origins I sometimes get Taunt and Recharge mixed up - I think it's a trick contrast is playing on my eyes.I've found it interesting that folks cared as much as they have about the names of SOs or DOs. That was never much barrier to me. I just key off the colors.
Now if folks have situations that make that a problem, such as color blindness, that would totally make sense to me. But I guess this just shows how different people's brains categorize information differently. -
Quote:I never have a problem finding Recharge Magic SOs. I sometimes get Defense and Resistance mixed up, but that's with every origin.I'm very practical. I use Mutation almost exclusively now for one simple reason: The Mutation SO's are the easiest to distinguish from one another on the vendor. Don't agree? Try finding a Magic Recharge SO on the vendor. Now try finding a Mutation Recharge SO.

I lean towards Magic and Natural.

Quote:I wonder whether or not they can even tie forum access to the tier rewards. It may be that they can only tie it to subscription.as I get more informed about the whole 'tier' system the stranger it seems that improved forum access isn't a slot on one of the higher tiers.
players with years of paid subscription time aren't guaranteed to be tremendous community assets, but they tend to be more involved, informed & active on the forums. Which is what community hosts should be looking for... -
Quote:I personally like to act oblivious and/or stoic in the face of their frustrations and anger just to rile them up. Sometimes, it's important to comment on the least important (and possibly unrelated to their overall issue) things they say just so they know you're actually listening. You don't need to sign up - just carry on being a normal guy and you'll eventually get a beat down from a girl
It's the passive-aggressive alternative to pulling hair. -

I play on Virtue and there was a time when teams didn't seem to have any trouble finding me. Sometimes I would have a /tell or invite before I finished loading into the game. I didn't have to pay attention to Broadcast for the LFMs, and send /tells to those people, invites just came. Not so much any more.
And that sort of passive teaming is what I prefer. I really like the LFG system when it works as a passive team-finding tool. -

Sounds more likely that they'll be responsible for the vegetative state apocalypse.

One way you have to create a bunch of large armored robotic tanks, the other you make much smaller units that can potentially pilot existing tanks that you already have battalions of.

I don't generally use Ignore features on forums. I figure I'm probably on a few lists myself, though, despite the fact that I'm fairly harmless. I have (or have had) a tendency to stubbornly try to get the last word in, which some probably find tedious (one of many tedious traits, I'm sure some are thinking). I've been trying to curb this habit, at least, by pretending I got the last word in when I've said as much as I feel I needed to say and not revisiting whichever thread I'm starting to argue in circles with Fo... er, someone.
In-game, I only use it for the ad-spammers. -

I think everyone must be on larger monitors at higher resolutions than me. I can't do a screenshot at the moment, but I can tell you how my UI is setup:
On the top of the screen, from left to right:
Hit Point/Stamina Bar, Target, Nav, Inspirations, the basic three-tray bar with Enhancements bar open. In the rare instance I need to use more than three trays, I set up macro buttons to switch between them. I think I've only needed to do that on a Warshade that uses forms.
At 90%, when my Inspiration tray is at its maximum size by level, all those windows are shoulder-to-shoulder.
On the bottom left of my screen is the Chat interface. The upper portion of it is Broadcast, Request, and NPC chatter. The bottom portion is Team, Tells, and Local.
On the bottom right of my screen is my Map. I always have the map open. -
The new incarnate slot sounds interesting. I'm still trying to unlock slots past Alpha on my Tanker, though. Much less slot them. The iXP gain in Dark Astoria is tediously slow to me. The limited usefulness of Incarnate slots is a constant disappointment to me as well, of course.
I think the new costume bits will get the most immediate interest from me, since I'm more likely to actually get to use them. -
I had to look that up to figure out what you were getting at. I momentarily thought the fact that I confused which Ray Stevens song the lyric came from was Parkinson-related.
It may be apparent by now that I'd not even heard of Mojo Nixon until this very thread. -

There are plot holes, and there are nits. Which is which may be a matter of perspective.

Quote:Before you edited the post, I thought when you said "It's a parody of" that the pronoun was referring to the Ray Stevens song I mentioned. Which would have been a neat trick. Possibly involving a DeLorean...It's a homage of Mojo Nixon's Elvis is Everywhere.
