Quote:The problem with the LFG system is that it allows people to use it who are not, in fact, LFG. Undoubtedly an unfortunate necessity of tying the iTrials to it.Interestingly enough, the LFG queue can be seen as an attempt to make forming teams and leading them easier. Specially the trials.
And yet, people still opt to form teams and/or wait till someone does instead of just clicking on the Queue button.

Quote:I personally like the description of Sirius Cybernetics Corporation's Marketing Department as a baseline for Evil Marketing: "A bunch of mindless jerks who'll be first against the wall when the revolution comes."We're seeing an awful lot of very, very snide remarks and personal attacks directed at marketing and business development. I know it's easy, and popular, to point fingers at "Evil Marketing", but this sentiment has been extremely over the top lately.

Quote:If I'm looking to purchase it, "now" is when it needs to be purchased. If I bid for it and then log off, it doesn't matter if I have one when I log back on to that character weeks/months later because I likely won't remember what I wanted to do with it.Agreed, a reasonable bid and a willingness to wait, ofttimes only a few minutes or less, makes all the difference. Permanent and significant effect, agreed,... no way that is happening. It is the "want it nao!" crowd that allows this method to even work

Quote:Hrm. First time I've seen SHOE.I was looking at that page recently after I gave the link to someone in game and I noticed that a couple of fundamental abbreviations are missing. "AT" is the only one I can recall again. I'm blanking on what else I thought of.
Edit:
Missing = EAT, VEAT, SHOE -
Ever since Fitness became inherent, there is no particular Power Pool I consistently use.
I often pick up travel powers, but I don't consistently choose a particular travel pool.
I'll consistently pick up the Fighting pool - but only on Willpower characters. I pretty consistently avoid it on everything else.
I've taken every other power pool at least once. -

Quote:Batman eventually puts on his cape and cowl. And we saw shots of it during production.I'm willing to cut Nolan some slack in terms of seeing how it looks when its all put together.
Every shot we've seen of Bane has looked pretty much like the one C_F posted. And (among other things) that mask just sucks.
On the other hand, the Joker from the second movie looked horrible but I ultimately found it enjoyable. So, while I'm not exactly hopeful, I plan on seeing the movie despite the fact that thus far Catwoman and Bane haven't looked very good. Perhaps the performances and such will transcend the abhorrent aesthetics again. -
Z_M's version looks good.
I dislike the new version of the costume in the comics. The red belt helps a bit, but it's no substitute for the red briefs and yellow belt. -
I think a better idea would be to consolidate the meaninglessly diverse salvage into, at most, six different pieces of salvage (Common Magic/Tech, Uncommon Magic/Tech, and Rare Magic/Tech).

Especially not. I probably wouldn't even have mentioned it if not for that sentence. I see a lot of "could of", "would of", and "should of" errors that I pass by with just a slight wince and move on (many of them in the works of George R. R. Martin, a professional writer who should know better). And I undoubtedly make grammatical errors of my own. But that "to of been" was just too much. I began wondering things like:
"Does that person of a high school education?"
"Of they even been to school at all?"
"Will their wedding vows be 'to of and to hold'?"
Something broke inside my brain. Then my left eye began twitching and I wanted to bludgeon something with a homophone. -
That would've been awesome.
In other news, "of" is not a verb. -
Like your new avatar. Reminds me of one of my favourite AMVs, the name of which (as I recall it) would be censored on the message boards.

Given the choice, I'd go with a WP/StJ Tanker. I ultimately find Brutes and Scrappers too squishy for my tastes (it's rare that I slot any IO sets), and if I'm going to be a squishy melee character I tend to prefer Stalkers.

I typically play blue side on Virtue and it's been a couple of years since I experienced invites raining down from the sky. Not even during double experience weekends.

Quote:I remember attending it and being greatly annoyed to have a surprise PVP event thrust upon me.Remember the wedding of Manticore and Sister Psyche? It was an event that took place during the Spring Fling. If you wanted you could have your character attend it and actually bear witness to the wedding itself, including the vows, emotes and the eventual Arachnos attack...
I also remember /em slap-ing Statesman. -
As someone who's dealt with the issue numerous times with new video games that are held for a street date, I'd say that the fact that the practice isn't strange doesn't make it any less hateful.

That's some serious... dedication... yes, "dedication" is the word I will use. You are very dedicated.

Quote:And I was like, "Then why is the deer licking you?"And he was like
"lol, you just salty"
And then him and his friends all laughed and made weird faces at you until you left.
His friends were all laughing at him, and he was laughing because it tickled. That's just how Recluse is. He knows it. He'll never deny that he's got lots of doe.
