The Hess map is a huge disappointment. Here's a giant robot that you don't get to fight! Bah.

But for my part, I've always preferred KU to KB/KD. If I had a set with all single target and AoE KU, I'd slot for it in every power. All the awesome visual of tossing people around with none of the drawbacks of KB. -

Quote:As I said, I also like Talbain, but I guess when it comes down to it, I'm just 'defending the honour' of real wolves, as that's what the head you called "cute" seems to be replicating.I guess I'm just defending the honor of my fav fighting star character
With any future animal heads, be they shark or other critters, I'd personally prefer something a bit more stylised than such a direct port of the real life animal. Opinions likely vary wildly on that point, though. -
Quote:::makes saving throw versus lewd comment::Yes, that poor hyphen key...it's rocking itself in the corner muttering something about being violated or nonsense...What did you do, you sick man!!?
Quote:This is a cute werewolf
Mind you, I'd like a more... feral wolf head.... Or perhaps "stylised" would be a more appropriate term. One that seemed worthy of that one tail - is it called "ragged"?
One of the first things I actually did with the animal costume pack in the costume creator was to make a Talbain. -

Virtue has always been my home server.
Over the past few weeks, with the small amount of weekend play I put in (usually in the midnight hours, EDT), I've managed to get a character from 50 to 50 +3 largely by sitting in the queue while street sweeping or doing DA missions. I was expecting it to take (me) far longer given previous experiences with a different character, but the activity seems (to me) to have increased of late. -

Quote:Cute things do that all of the time in anime, and some of the time in horror. Talbain/Gallon is essentially an anime-pretty-boy-werewolf, with his Hollywood I-just-got-out-of-bed-and-my-fur-still-looks-this-good styling. He's not at the look-at-the-cute-monster-that's-gonna-eat-us level that Sasquatch is, but as werewolves go he's pretty cute - cuter than real, older-than-puppies wolves.Cute things don't bite your head off and eviscerate your intestines...well, a cute thing *can* do that, but then most likely you'd hit the 'cute' and 'humorous' angles to do it...and there's nothing funny about Gallon (well, a nunchaku using werewolf might be...).
I think I've abused the hyphen enough. -
I did that and also briefly tried it again a bit later when certain things were supposedly improved, but found it to still be not very fun. Indeed, I got more enjoyment out of the OTHER superhero MMO, with all of ITS problems. But ultimately I still ended up back here. I keep hoping that a better superhero RPG will pop up...

If you make it a small flying vehicle - in the vein of a flying motorcycle, or small flying car - then between that and purchasable travel powers shutting off every other power Bill's rebuttal is mostly invalidated. A couple of points were already invalidated by nonsense already present in the game.
Customisation, for instance, is something lacking in existing travel powers as-is (not to mention purchasable powers they've put out).
And it doesn't make any less sense for a vehicle to get pushed around by civilians than it does for several tons of stone/robot. -
I go through phases of burnout and moderate interest. I'm rarely excited by this game any more. When I get burned out, I simply play less (or not at all) for awhile. Such is bound to happen with any long term game, in my experience. If this game didn't occupy the niche it does better than its rare competitors, I might not come back to it so faithfully. As it is, they may as well have a monopoly on the Superhero RPG.
As for the Paragon Market - I'm not bothered by it as a whole. Heck, the in-game market irritates me far more.
Quote:*I* thought it was aimed at the iTrials. They do seem to have shifted the focus of the game. I don't like them, personally - there're too many people and too much going on for me to enjoy them. But I'm shocked to admit that over the last few weekends I was able to get a Blaster up to +3. At the rate I play, I expected the task to be much more long term for me.The 'lack of teaming due to so many trials' even contradicts itself. Maybe he meant it as a complaint about itrials instead?
On the down side, doing so has made me want to deal with the early game even less, which really puts a damper on my favourite past time of making alts. -
I really like the idea of Masterminds, but I don't like constantly resummoning weak pets that can die if a 0/+1 spawn so much as looks at them funny.
Within the past couple of months I got a Thugs/FF up to about 26, and the henchmen were a bit more durable with soft capped (or nearly so) defense, but at that point I found whole spawns were regularly just running away.
I'll probably intermittently keep trying to find a MM I can deal with, but so far they keep proving to be irritating to play. -
I was kind of surprised when I got the name "Public Domain" on Virtue.

If this invasion culminated in a building-sized Lord Nemesis attacking, maybe I'd find it more interesting. As it is, the other day, all it did was add targets to me preventing a Paladin construction. I see enough Nemesis all over the place that they're nothing special.

Like when we've been able to have multiple cape-like effects at the same time - trenchcoat and cape at the same time, for instance - and then it gets purposefully taken away.

The last time I was on one was probably within a year of when CoV came out. There was usually a plan set in motion that fell apart under swarming CoT ambushes as I recall. Luckily, I was never actually in need of a respec.

Quote:The GMs will handle things however they see fit when these things are reported. But it looks to me like you were picking a fight. Is it just me, or are more people getting sick and tired of these people that have no imagination when creating a toon?
last week.. Wednesday was my 1st day in game that week, i made a new staff fighting toon, swept the street to get a quick level. I go to Miss Lib, and who do i see? a toon names SnakeEyez, dressed as Snake-Eyes, dual Blade power set and even a bio stating he was from a top secret military unit.
All i said was: "Pleased to meet you mister soon to be known as Generic 847 924 6722, because if someone reports you, that will be your new name." He went off on me that i should leave him alone, because i had his toon Gen'd a few days prior. A whole discussion about copyright infringement started with people giving their two cents. -
I would love a back fin. It would really add to Gravity Whale's look.

I'm thinking about rerolling a Spines/WP scrapper with Bio Armor.
I'll have to see Water Blast and Nature Affinity in more detail before deciding what I want to do with them. -
I didn't know it stood for anything, I just knew it was what the network started calling itself somewhere along the way. Apparently, though, the name comes from it being owned by CBS and Warner Brothers.
