Time, effort, and homogeneity of alignment.
Either make villains have to go blueside for APPs or give the Patron powers to heroes without all the hullabaloo, I say. I'll even take the compromise of paying a small point price to universally unlock them, a la capes and auras. -
He, Sammo, and Stephen Chow should get together and do a Three Stooges movie.

Quote:Animated, schmanimated. It'd be a Tim Burton + Quentin Tarantino dark comedy horror flick with teenagers trapped on an island with a murderous pig-like alien (or, alternatively, a human pilot cursed by some native pig deity) who had previously crash landed there. Bonus points if it's a musical. No no.
It would be an animated feature by Pixar. He doesn't control flies, but rather he becomes one. He visits the lab of a friendly mad scientist and accidently knocks some chemicals together. He turns into a fly and has wacky adventures. He meets a girl fly and they fall in love. Eventually, the chemicals wear off and he turns back into a human. He begs the mad scientist to save his girlfriend. Said scientist manages to turn her into and cue sunset. -
Quote:While I'm glad to see Toonami back on principle, I have to admit that I'm not particularly interested in watching any of that. I just finished FMA on Netflix (after my friends claimed it was depressing and all about child endangerment, neither of which I found to be the case) and am currently well on my way through FMA:B on Netflix. I don't like Bleach, GITS, or Durarara. And I've seen FLCL and Cowboy Bebop soooo many times already.12:00 a.m. - Bleach
12:30 a.m. - Fullmetal Alchemist
1:00 a.m. - Durarara!!
1:30 a.m. - Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
2:00 a.m. - FLCL
2:30 a.m. - Cowboy Bebop
3:00 a.m. - Bleach
3:30 a.m. - Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG
4:00 a.m. - Bleach
4:30 a.m. - Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
5:00 a.m. - Durarara!!
5:30 a.m. - Cowboy Bebop"
However, if I'm not watching anything else I won't mind too terribly having that on in the background. Which is more than I can say for a lot of the late night programming they've had lately - particularly the horrible live action stuff. -
Quote:Going along those lines: there could be mission/storyarc recipes that required special mission items (Clues!) which you put together at a crafting table to create the mission start. These could be multi-part mysteries, or one-shot encounters. It'd be neat if the "clues" put together from a particular enemy group led to encounters with key NPCs from that group. What about version of Tips/Adamastor's summoning recipe? Like you'd get a Tip/recipe drop that told you thatm, say, a nearby jewelry store was being robbed - going to any jewelry store and activating the Tip/Recipe would spawn a costumed Villain and some hired thugs from the door, kinda like a Halloween ambush.

Personally, I'd like to be able to occupy/reclaim sections of the city like in that one PVP zone only sans the PVP.

That's not the amazingly detailed Terminator bust that I'd want to get *my* hands on...

Quote:Perhaps there's an optical illusion going on, but the minimum looks smaller to me than girls I've known who were C cups.Although most female characters in modern comic books are "heroicly" proportioned to the point of defying gravity, the CoH chest slider *starts* at 36C, which is not realistic in terms of real-world analogues.
While guys may express puerile gaffaws, it is simply limiting to restrict the *minimum* bust size to 36C, which is already pretty prodigious. It limits the creativity and immersiveness of people who want characters with smaller busts and niche players who *try* to play children and/or non-human/non-mammalian females.
Though, again, a smaller option would be good. I've ditched a couple of waifish and faerie concepts because I couldn't go small enough. I forget, is this the place where I guffaw? -
I've been street sweeping a lot more in the last several months.
I don't like most of the instanced outdoor maps I've run into.
And I would like events like the SC Fires, Paladin Construction, and Giant Monsters more if they were more worthwhile. -
Quote:As long as the ears and hair are optional, I don't care if they exist. But I strongly agree on the subject of head details. I'd love to put glasses or goggles or a variety of horns on existing monstrous/animal heads. Regular human heads with animal muzzles would be about the only way they'd achieve this, I think. And given clipping issues, I further think the muzzle would have to be a Detail in the same section as beards and such. Of course, since there is unfortunately still no "none" option in the Ears section, those would be bound to annoy me, but que sera...No hair, no ears, no fun. I simply don't think direct adaptations of animal heads are viable, which is why I'm always pushing for anthropomorphic heads that are usable with existing head details. If I want a shark with hair, with a hat, with reading glasses or with a half-helmet, that's a lot more customization that just a straight-up "animal head" of a shark.

Quote:If that's the same minority that hates Squidbillies and thinks Cartoon Network should stop with the live action crud then I'm in good company. It's bad enough that an idiot majority has practically ruined the Sci-Fi channel...They have 1 reason to stop showing King of the Hill: To please you and what appears to be a minority of their viewers, based on ratings.
Quote:while King of the Hill has run through all of their episodes maybe 4 times.
Quote:To sum up: Get over it or watch something else for that hour, because King of the Hill isn't going anywhere. -
Personally, I'd take the Flash TV series and Green Lantern movie over Spider-man 1 & 3 or any of the X-men movies.
I'd also take Superman I & II and any of the Batman movies (including the Adam West one) over Daredevil, Elektra, Wolverine: Origins, the horrible Thomas Jane Punisher movie, Ang Lee's Hulk, and Ghost Rider. Heck, I might even take the Supergirl movie and Superman III over those Marvel stinkers.
Putting that aside, I'd say that DC has largely trounced Marvel in the animated arena. -
This happens to me from time to time, though it's usually briefer than a few hours. Occasionally I'll get logged out and then it won't accept my password to log back in. Or else I won't get completely logged out, but it will tell me I don't have permission to post for a bit.

Quote:Yeah, given the way KB works, wouldn't a power have to summon a Pseudopet in order to do radial KB rather than KB from the character?M30 Grenade is like most other KB powers and always knocks away from the player. You misremember.
Like putting down an Ice Slick on low level enemies, for instance. (Incidentally, KD being low mag KB rarely makes sense to me due to situations where it becomes KB. It generally seems to me like it would make more sense to be low Mag KU instead.) -
Now if only they would stop showing King of the Hill...

Yes, but I imagine the OP had the foresight to expect people would bring up other maps that were interesting, and that such revelations might also be considered spoilers. One can't be too careful about such things as people who hate spoilers are a superstitious and cowardly lot.

I'm all for it going a bit smaller, but most women I know look to me to be between the existing middle and extreme left slider settings.

Yes, but, given that it's the 'rule in this genre', compound names are common and thus tend to already be taken (meaning they tend to be 'difficult to land'). I know I've cycled through numerous compound names with no luck when making characters.
