They only came for the badges, temp powers, whatever.

  2. For some reason, I assumed it was an idea for an animated series.
  3. I don't enjoy beating other people, and I certainly don't enjoy getting beaten, which makes PvP a lose-lose game for me before even considering any other aspects.
  4. I don't terribly mind the art, but I disliked most of the ideas. I didn't care for the premise, and things kinda went downhill from there. The only thing I sort of liked was Apocalypse having an elemental basis rather than biblical.

Why is it that when Spider-man does a 'facepalm' it looks like he's blaming himself for something that probably wasn't his fault?

    a. Learning that players ignore them.
    b. Players actively use /hide to avoid them because in this game the majority of players consider that behavior rude.
    c. Account restrictions prevent them from unlocking the full potential of their accounts.

So I regret to say the people ya'll are referring to are a completely different subset than the ones I'm talking about.
I wasn't only referring to blind invites. I was just pointedly including them under the umbrella of passively-obtained-invites which have all become a great deal less frequent in my experience. Right before Freedom, I'd've said that they were practically non-existent. Since about March, I've experienced a slight increase in them, though nowhere near the activity of those halcyon days.

As for speculations specifically about the drop in "blind" invites, I'd say that the largest drop in frequency for those came when changes to difficulty settings made padding unnecessary.

And I'm speaking here as a 'lump' who passively accrues team invites and has on occasion quit a team when handed the star. There was a time when that didn't much limit the amount of teaming I did. There was a time that it wasn't necessary for me to join a cumbersome number of chat channels or maintain some sort of arduous social network in order to get on a team whenever I logged in. Now, given the nature of the beast it doesn't do much good to complain about these environmental changes, but I'd have as much right to complain about them as anyone would have about any changes that negatively impacted them.

Unless there is something showing how wildly popular and profitable comics with gay characters are these days, I still dont understand how making a character gay is considered a publicity stunt.
It doesn't specifically matter that it's a gay character. What's important is that it's something bound to be shocking/controversial (whether or not it *should* be considered as such is likewise immaterial).

I wouldn't necessarily complain about it, but I might lament that it has changed from what it used to be. There was a time when the PUG invites - "blind" or preceded by /tell - practically rained from the heavens. For me, that was the golden age of teaming. In my experience, that flow of invites has slowed dramatically. I miss regularly getting those 'silver platter' invites. I also miss Crystal Pepsi and 7UP Gold. ::shrug::

Indeed. No matter what they do with this version of Alan Scott, the original will still be my favourite Green Lantern. However, *because* I like the character so much, it will generally irritate me if/when they do things to him that I don't like regardless of the immutable past.
  11. I prefer to have a full story in front of me, or at the very least a large enough chunk that I feel satisfied having read it. Individual comic book issues tend to be frustratingly short, not to mention a bit pricey for the amount of entertainment they provide.

That's untrue as stated, particularly in regards to the various types that have been added. Also, the devs control both types of drop and could engineer it so that you received XP awards at certain mission points but not from individual mobs as well as make the individual mobs drop the various forms of currency/items.

And it's irrelevant to the point that creating further types of both XP and currency/items serves the same purpose, in any case.
  13. Current continuities are ever-changing. If I were to choose a side between Marvel/DC it would have to be based on which company has had more characters that I really like. I think DC still has the edge for me on that battlefront.

It actually is very different and works much better.
XP is basically currency that is automatically spent. I won't dispute that it works better. Indeed, if the XP was all that was needed for Incarnate abilities I'd probably enjoy the system a good deal more. But adding different forms of required XP tied to specific activities serves the same purpose as adding any other required currency/item tied to specific activities.

Adding further types of XP amounts to nearly the same thing.
  16. Incidentally, when I checked this morning, the episode count was up to 39 from 26.
  17. I'm surprised they didn't go that one extra step and add Unique Widgets that are specifically necessary for the ever-annoying crafting part of the equation which you can only get as drops at the completion of the Trial.
  18. They should give us a dropdown so we can select between backgrounds.

While some of them have certainly been "quick", I can't say that any of the existing trials I've been on are "enjoyable".

I wouldn't necessarily say it's "easy". For instance, it's impossible for me to log into the game at this very moment.

When I first saw it, I thought it was only season 3 since the box art was for 'Beast Wars the Complete Third Season'.

I don't think I can watch it again, though. It looks so bad, and I'm reminded how much I hated the whole turning-into-actual-animals thing. The story eventually got past that for me the first time, but now... yeesh.

The Hulk is not powerless when someone makes the foolish mistake of inflicting an injustice on him.
While your argument for Fear is apt, as I understand it the Hulk's rage is rooted in the powerlessness of a child who was helpless against the actions of an abusive father.

He's clearly influenced by M.C. Escher, Picasso's cubism, and Hieronymus Bosch. By which I mean that the perspective is skewed, the anatomy is skewed, and you can see Hell.
  24. If you're already familiar with the characters, I find that the novelisation of Kingdom Come is slightly more interesting than the graphic novel.

A bunch of people quietly standing around with their face in a menu isn't exactly what I'd call "social". I think "unnecessary graphical congestion" would be a more appropriate term. I'd be happy if they got rid of trainers in favour of a Level Up command/button, too.
