  1. Yeah, I hated that ending myself.

I disliked Officer Blake, especially when his name was revealed to be "Robin".

I pegged Miranda as a villain the moment she was introduced, and when the story was busy fooling Batman into thinking that Bane was the child that climbed out of the Pit I'd already guessed that Bane was actually the protector and Miranda was the child.

I dislike this Bane. He seems more like Ubu with a please-make-the-hurting-stop mask.

    Lucius Fox is cool.

I'll give you two guesses. So you'll be right.
This movie. And that other one where Batman is Almighty. Or something like that.
  2. I prefer Willpower Radio - I don't have to keep clicking it, I can just turn it on and go.

Do you guys tend towards any particular genre?

I know how to make macros. The problem, however (unless they fixed it when I wasn't looking), is that any time I stopped moving or got in and out of combat while flying, I'd have to reactivate the flypose as I started moving again because they don't stay set. It's a clumsy solution at best, and a power customisation option for it would be much better.

He ranked 34th out of 34 NFL starting Quarterbacks for last season. Because of that, he doesn't represent the median of NFL Quarterback performances for last year. Just like Jab doesn't represent the average tier 1 attack.
By my at-a-Mids-glance reckoning, if Jab takes 5-6 attacks, most other Tier 1 attacks for a Tanker should take 4-5 (which, I believe is similar to Jab with Rage). Given my statement that it shouldn't take more than two Tier 1 attacks for most minions, the difference is moot. I clearly wasn't attempting to represent the average attack, I was saying that the whole setup is bunk in my opinion.

Personally, I'd peg her as Plant Control/Nature Affinity, but that still leaves her a Controller.

The rest of Super Strength's set makes up for that. I'll admit it doesn't make it easy during the lower levels.
Super Strength is, again, just a convenient example. I'm not talking about its design structure at all. Hence: "I'd say the same of the Tier 1 attack in any of the attack sets for any AT that has one."

I've found most MMOs I've played to be torturously slow, in combat as well as advancement. This game is better than most in both regards, but a quick snail is still slow (the fastest being something like five thousandths of a mile per hour, as I recall).

I imagine that you and I have different ideas of what "mowing" is. Suffice to say, I'd call what my WP/SS Tanker does to minions of +0 or -1 level to him to be "methodically chipping away at", or possibly "deliberately hand sawing" with Rage. It takes around six Jabs for him to KO a -1 minion sans Rage.

In a perfect world, with only regular enhancements, no outside buffs, no inspirations, no Aura damage, and no Rage - basically just Jab and three damage SOs - it shouldn't take more than two punches to KO most even level minions. I'd say the same of the Tier 1 attack in any of the attack sets for any AT that has one.

Super Strength may not live up to its name, but then neither do a lot of other sets live up to realistic expectations of theirs.
I do not disagree. I was merely using Super Strength as a ready example. As mentioned, I have a widespread dissatisfaction with the powers/power level in this game.
  10. If you don't like arguments: please stay off the internet.

Seriously, you may as well go to Grassworld and tell people to stay off the grass. It's a losing battle before the blueprints are drawn up for the gun that is to be manufactured to fire the first shot.

Indeed? I have a widespread dissatisfaction with powers/power level in this game, though my dissatisfaction is more along general thematic lines rather than your professed specific literal dissatisfaction.

I can't speak for Johnny, but routinely having to hit nameless mooks (in the general sense, not the specific minion) several times to KO them falls far short of what I expect from "Super Strength".

Barring "divine intervention" of sorts, every player character in this game is effectively immortal. They will "live" as long as their universe.

Make it text and I'll look at it. Video is a cumbersome and largely inefficient way to spread most of the information that comes out in these Coffee Talks.

Luckily, the important bits tend to drift onto the boards.

    4. Do you have any characters that you, for whatever reason, are not going to make Incarnates?
    1. None. Nor is it likely I ever will, as T4s seem to take far more focus and effort than I'm likely to put forward.

    2. 5 or 6. EDIT: Actually, looking at the definition a second time: 1 or 2, though I'd personally define "Incarnated" as just having the Alpha slot with something in it.

    3. None. Even if the definition of "Fully Incarnate" were diminished to T3s, I don't specifically "roll" characters with the Incarnate system in mind.

    4. No. Just as I don't specifically plan to make characters Incarnates, I also don't specifically plan to NOT make them Incarnates.

After experiencing the story of his latest Batman entry, I'd also expect Darkseid to be the (human or apparently human) leader of a shadow organization called Apokolips - which is behind organizations such as Intergang and the League of Shadows. He'd have an elite squad of ninja assassins to make people disappear that would be known as "Omega". The ultimate goal of Apokolips would be the destruction of all life. The plot of the movie would revolve around new nanotechnology designed for medical purposes - Apokolips would be trying to use it for evil by introducing a sort of Anti-Life Equation into their programming.
  20. I hit lots of walls that make me lose focus.

But I can certainly relate to that level-35-with-a-mez-protectionless-squishy Wall. I really liked my Fire/Rad controller up until around that level. Around that point, there seemed to be too many encounters that involved getting detoggled and KOd. This is one of the reasons I have trouble playing Defenders/Controllers/Corruptors that don't involve Sonic or FF for the mez protection. Even if it seems to be going well, I just know that there will come a time when it will become very annoying. Heck, even Sonic and FF are a bit annoying due to the sleep hole.

That people will happily accept you using Group Fly on any given trial because if *they* don't like it *they* can address the issue at Null the Gull...

At least, that seemed to me to be the point that was being made. Though I'm not sure how enhancement type figures into that equation.

    yay
Pretty much (though I wouldn't really say Lobo has cosmic power). That's the direction his comics tend(ed) to go in.

Of course, I wouldn't be shocked to see them tone it down a great deal. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if they made him an earth-bound human bounty hunter. But I remain hopeful that they'll do something hilariously visceral in space, with space-rednecks, space-bikers, space-dolphins, and perhaps even space-Australia.
